If nothing else, we can be certain that Kuroneko wins the OST. Just trying and listen to that and not end up plotting your glorious ascendance.. you can't!

I have to say I loved episode 3's ending song "Zutto... by Hitomi Nabatame, Ayano Taketatsu and Kana Hanazawa" the most. Really heartwarming. I think Ayase's VA has the best singing voice however.

I am sorry everyone that I haven't posted in this thread all too much during the airing. I still have to catch up to the last couple of episodes.

So far this season has shown Ore no Imouto to be a contender for the best anime of all time. One could say Ore no Imouto is the Citizen Kane of anime. Episode 4 in particular was magnifique. If only all anime could reach this level of quality.

Hell yeah, Dat Ayase vs. Kuroneko catfight. Bonus for random chuunibyou fight animation.

What I think is most brilliantly insidious about Oreimo is that at first you start out repulsed by the basic concept of the story, and then slowly the characters grow on you, and then you start liking the show, and then you start enjoying these fights that everyone seems to get into over Kyou-chan. It helps that Kirino starts out being an unbelievable abusive little bitch but softens considerably, following the standard tsundere character development path. By this point you're more or less used to Kirino being tsundere for aniki, such as it is.

Oreimo has grown into a parody of a harem story but the harem itself seems perfectly normal, if you consider having your own little sister in your harem to be normal. And after you've watched Oreimo enough, maybe you would. The other members of the harem are entertaining too, with chuunibyou Kuroneko, yandere Ayase, poor neglected childhood friend Manami, and the currently absent loli Ria. Kyou-chan covers all the bases with his harem, and his harem abuses him sufficiently enough that he's too cowed to dare choose any one of them for fear of being killed by the others like a good helpless harem lead.

I usually like only darker more adult anime, but Oreimo drew me in and I can't get enough of how funny and well written the characters are. I thought it was just a typical ecchi fanservice anime and I almost completely wrote it off. Im very glad I gave it a chance. I would never say its the best anime I have ever watched, but right now it is by far my favorite.

Oh boy. The fact that I knew where in the story this episode's events were supposed to happen makes me think they're going to go for the LN ending with this season.

Ayase didn't get any stabbings in before it ended though, much to my disappointment. In this regard, she falls short of being a True Yandere in this story. Poor Ayase. ;_;

I hate that I've invested myself so deeply in a show that's finale I know I will end up hating. I would have picked you, Ayase. ;_;

I would not have the picked the girl who constantly threatens to stab me. Nothing good comes from picking the yandere. Ever.

But there is that cheery motivation to study and push through deadlines!

This anime is a complete hate-watch for me right now. I would struggle to find something redeeming to comment on. It seems to be barrelling head first into an ending that will multiply my regret about watching at least tenfold.

Still though, here I am.

Ayase stabbing Kyousuke would have been almost on the level of the dark turn in Shuffle! which was a real trip for me when I watched that at 16 years old.

ClariS released their new album today!

Who's ClariS you ask? They are a duo of mystery idols who you hear at the start of every episode and were suppossed to appear in the episode 10 for a show and "encounter" with Kyosuke. No other thing about this season has rustled my jimmies more than their absence.

Anyways, the album is called Second Story, and includes this season OP. It's not on iTunes over here yet, but I'm hoping it will be, but is still available to import at your favourite import site.

I mentioned the first album "Birthday" before, that's still available to buy.

Nice, shall try and get hold of this (Y)

I'm so glad they finally decided to show Saori again. She's been sooooo neglected it's not even funny ;_; Also, what the hell am I watching now!?!?!? This isn't the show I fell in love with D:

They were supposed to be in the show?? Why did this not happen in the anime?? I would've loved to see them D:

Bah, flashback episode? So this is just gonna be a big tease until the specials in August. Boo-urns.

Novel Volume 11 is all a flashback.
It kinda explains why Kirino dislikes Kyousuke and why Kirino doesn't like Manami

August episodes are going to be so good =D

Episode 13
That decent into otaku-ism. Delicious.
Now the long wait until August begins.
looks like another girl got completely cut from the show huh? Damn shame.

I'm referring to this girl. Spoilers for the LN.
They didn't really flesh out
Kyousuke's fall from grace, they just kinda dumped it all on Manami.

Yeah that's the girl. From what I remember
what happens with kyousuke in this volume was kinda based on how he was to her and what happened to her =/
Not sure why they would cut her from the episode.

Ep13

Seriously...? I know I said last week that it wouldn't surprise me, but they actually
cut Sakurai completely.

Still, the episode as a whole wasn't as bad as I was expecting.
- The key points of volume 11, "Super Kyousuke" and "Manami a shit", were both covered in reasonably sufficient detail. The former is kind of wacky because of Sakurai's exclusion, and the latter could have used more time, but... Well, this is what you get from a rushed adaptation, I guess.
- The anime-original stuff felt kind of out of place and not entirely necessary, but it was cute. And it meant that my lovely angel got to appear again, which is an instant plus. I'm done complaining about wasted time, anyway.

Overall, I think this is about the best this episode could have turned out, given the mjytewsxchh that this adaptation turned into. If nothing else, it at least leaves all 3 extra episodes for volume 12, so there's still some hope that that won't be too mangled.

Well that was incredibly cute. But this prompted me to read the LN vol 11 spoilers and yeah, that seems like there was a bit of a departure there. All in all, some nice backstory and some very gif-able reaction moments, but what this really means is that there will be no blood yet.

49 days and counting.

I didn't pick up on it either.
I'm trying to remember if I knew before I read the LN spoilers or not. I don't think it was ever said.

I don't want him to end up with Manami anymore, she's a bitch, after this episode it better be Kirino. But judging by how much people don't like the LN's ending i'm expecting him to pull some Kodaka shit and run out of the room or something.

Everything Kirino likes to do just started out as some way she could impress her brother. Her whole personality is based on her being a brother lover. :/
