I think the next games are a tracer race styled mode and something to do with zarya. Probably some sort of lifting game or something? Im not sure what they will do for her game.

Thinking of picking this up this week. How hard is it to get a grasp of the game without being useless or a negative to teams?
i've been reading a lot of red suit Zarya stuff here, i got the white one as my only skin so far, this red bias must end.
The white one seems rarer. But I admit that I think it's uglier than the red.

Yeah I've started to realize that I'm settling into a niche of a few characters - Junkrat for defense/KOTH, Soldier/Tracer for offense, D.Va for tank, Ana for support. I guess I'm also comfortable with Pharah/Reaper/Zenyatta/Winston for counter picking purposes and I'll go Lucio on KOTH if needed or for payload dancing, but at this point it's really rare if my starting pick isn't one of Junkrat/D.Va/Soldier/Tracer/Ana.
Also I think I love Ana more now with her faster fire rate and larger clip. She's pretty viable and I feel less pressure sniping with her since headshots don't matter.

Not had, most people at lower levels are useless. Just learn to work towards the objective in every map, learn the heroes progressively starting with the ones you list best, and focus on your own game/keep on top of the meta/ask and read strategies on how to play the heroes you're interested in and learn the maps.

and i don't know about the zarya. i figure it would have to benefit from her moveset and probably related to the the sports in brazil or the rio games.
but. zarya can do this with moving targets
my gripe with the red one is that it lacks contrast, but i don't especially love the design of the white one either, though i would be happy having gotten either of them since i thought i'd just get sprays and wanted one of the Zarya ones. Second best would be getting one of those tracer skins, then Mercy. Now that i got one of my top skin priorities i probably won't try to buy loot boxes even if i don't get anything else.

Not to mention the money people spend on loot boxes (I've bought 4x 24 loot boxes so far).
Meanwhile the Ana and Mercy on the enemy team kept me busy and we lost.
Seriously I didn't expect I got swapped for Mccree.
They sold a shitload of the game and loot boxes already so I would say yes.
I would have been fine with either, but I prefer the looks of the solid red with the text inlayed on it (no idea what it says, though). She's the only character that I spend a lot of time playing that I didn't use a legendary skin for.
i wanted to play with him in QP last night but a fucking goddamn annoying Tracer kept coming after me at our spawn and made it hell for me. I couldn't even last long enough to practice with him. fuck that Tracer player. fucking bitch.

I didn't like her when I first saw her on the postcard, but when I realized she had a ponytail I changed my mind. She's ok, I guess. I'd still like a good pink hair skin, though.I haaaaaaaate zarya with blonde hair, she looks so bad. and the costume itself is good
put that turret on the payload and the game is won. Attack Torb saves the day again, while never getting the credit for hard work paying off.

What, in rank 20 games or with people that have never played before? Any half decent team will get the turret off the payload in a matter of seconds.
maybe if they had a Reinhardt and another hero escorting close by to protect it. but turrets in Comp go down pretty fast with a good group. with the damage nerf, it's even easier to take down now unless the Torb activates Molten Core at the right time.
But cold showers are awesome during the summer!

Ugh, as someone who plays a lot of solo QP, the worst feeling in the world is seeing a Torbjorn or Bastion get set up on the payload, with a Reinhardt standing in front of them to shield. Not really a challenge for a coordinated team, but when you're playing with randoms it's pretty much a sure bet that we're about to get stomped.

I remember being disappointed in my qp matches where a turret/reinhardt combo on the payload was too much for us. I miss Torb though, i have to make the case for people using him no matter what it takes, Torb needs to make a return. I stopped playing him even in quick play defenses because i'm trying to get better for competitive and most of the time i used him it involved at least two torbs in Volks or Hanamura and that's not going to get me anywhere now.
true, randoms are bad at it unless you happen to have a D.Va who's not afraid to boost in and take it out quickly.
Torb is still viable for solo queue at least if you know some good placements.but yea, he's less of an issue now with the nerfs on consoles.

In one of my competitive placement games, I had a game on Temple of Anubis. The enemy team put a Bastion, a Torb turret, a Reinhardt and a Zenyatta up on the elevated platform, and also had a Symmetra who sentried the side paths. It was not pretty. Nobody got past the gate. I tried going D.Va, Tracer or Genji but Symmetra, Zenyatta and Torb went to pick me off usually. I had the gold medal in objective time with like 20 seconds.

There was a supposed bug on Gibraltar sudden death. Something to do with the game glitching out and literally making it impossible for offense to win in sudden death because the game did not recognize the offense taking any capture points or something.

That's what the original poster asked. Then Prelude. asked what the context is, so I provided the patch notes stating that Gibraltar was changed. I don't know how, myself.
That came with the patch, though, that wasn't the "adjustment". If it were, they would've put it into bug fixes.

It's the same she received in the last PC patch. That change just finally got onto consoles.
In a tie with people who scream into the microphone.
Last night, we've got the payload just about to get into the final point, and someone screams 'WE NEED A MEDIC, GOD DAMN IT!'. Not sure what his problem was as a) I was Lucio, and pushing the payload and b) we won like 10 seconds later.

My favourite thing I've seen so far was a streamer trying out Lucioball and one of his team members saying "are you autistic?" and shit like that. It's especially sad given that it's not, like, competitive, but Lucioball.
