After getting past 60 id say it's been pretty common, maybe like 70%+, but i also tend to personally pick up zen or luci if one is on the table and i feel like i dont have to fill something else, so that might skew things

Yeah, I'm up hovering around 70 myself and it's basically every single game has double support. If we don't have it there's usually some almost justifiable cheese going on.

I came into a KotH, they picked Bastion and Torb, Junkrat, and 2 offense heroes (I wanna say Reapers and Pharah). No way in hell I play in that, so I leave during the team assembly. Re-Queue. Immediately get put back into the same game. Leave. Re-Queue. Immediately get put back into the same game.
I went to take a break of a few minutes, then came back to finally play in another match.

I seriously don't understand why the game has such a hard-on for putting you into the same match again if you had consciously left (i.e. clicked on the "Leave Game" button), and not just disconnected.
Yeah, that happened to me a few times when I simply didn't want to play a certain map because I was sick of it. And speaking of which, it'd be nice to have some kind of map rotation system so that playing the same maps over and over wouldn't be a thing.

just a had an insane QP game on Dorado deffence w/ 2x Genji, 2x McCree, D.Va (me), and Hanzo. I didn't think we would win, esp up against 2x Rein, 2x McCree, Mercy, and Reaper... but we did, and shit was BRUTAL! They didn't even make it up the first slope.

Why does discord last so long after losing sight of target? Especially since its application on the target is faster now?

Would giving it an immediate loss on hiding behind an object be too much of a nerf? I mean he would still shine in open spaces, but the fact that it lasts several seconds after hiding rather than like half a second seems kind of wacky to me.

So, uh, six Zaryas pushing the payload on Route 66. What are my options here?

Agree with all the mentions of Pharah, Bastion, and Reaper. Either stay out of range of her with Pharah or out-DPS the shields with Bastion and Reaper. Not Mei, though: Zarya just hits her shield and laughs off your ice spray.

isn't it still 3 seconds?

3 seconds is a ridiculously low amount of time, it's not really an issue.

Because I consistently have a winrate of <30% with him. He is, statistically speaking, my least successful hero.
Yes, I also have a terrible winrate with him, one of my worst.

If I:
- put my shield up and stand still we make no progress
- put my shield up and walk through the choke the enemy Reinhardt charges me, my team is flanked and gets wiped; alternatively after five meters I notice my team didn't follow me through the choke and I die alone
- charge the enemy Reinhardt my team does not follow me and I die alone

I have absolutely no idea how to play him at this point.

Lol wut guys, rein is not hard. I'd say he is also essential on a lot of maps and he isnt as prone to being discorded because of his shield.

So, uh...have you ever been rammed by a Rein, then chained by a Roadhog, and then stunned by a McCree all at once? That'd be weird, huh?

;_;

I'm in the same place. I want to learn to play Rein because he's so essential in so many situations, but I suck at him and find myself in one of the 3 above situations regularly. I think the idea is to have Rein positioned so DPS can safely get picks from behind the shield, but it seems most people playing DPS in PUGs are too retarded to do that.

Pretty much my experiences with him. Playing solo, he's more or less useless, IMO.

Rein requires a good team to support him. I tried playing as him with randoms and when no one watches your back, you're screwed.

At least it didn't include getting trapped by Junk, sleep darted by Ana and frozen by Mei. Then you would have the whole team on you lol.

With good support, Reinhardt is a blast, without it he's frustrating. I play him very aggressively, but I try to make sure that when I charge I'm going to stop close to my team or position myself for a big earthshatter. I often feel like I'm not super effective with him, but sometimes everything lines up just right and I can destroy an entire team in seconds. If I feel like no one is using my shield, I usually swap to DVA or Roadhog as they're much more effective without support.

I think a lot of people underestimate how dangerous he is when you're close, get rushed by low health heroes a lot when they should be staying far away. A lot of Reinhardts that I see never drop their shields and start swinging when enemies are close even though that's when he's most effective.

the shields don't last long enough that Mei would die from Zarya's uncharged plasma beam, but even if Mei's life did get in danger she can just iceblock and wait her out, and then once Zarya''s frozen it's over. Also, Zarya's movement speed makes her a prime target for Mei's ice spray & ult.

A Reinhardt charged a Zarya and I hooked her as he was charging. It did not go well for Zarya.

3 seconds is a lot of time is this game, to me at least.

I'd be ok with a nerf to Discord out of line of sight as long as they leave harmony orb alone. Being able to give a small health pack worth of health to a flanker that disappears around the corner is the one healing advantage Zen has.

Yeah its really fucking stupid that i keep getting put on underdog teams and losing a shit ton of MMR rank. If im not supposed to win, why the fuck are you punishing me so hard for it?

Season 1 has been a disgrace

Man, people need to learn that I make a person go sleepy for a reason.

I slept a nanoboosted ulting Reaper on the point. My team decided it would be best to shoot him instead of going after anybody else, so he gets right back up and proceeds to shred me and my entire team, gets POTG and we lose. The POTG even included me putting him to sleep.

If there's an Ana on your team, you really need to be aware that she's probably going to sleep a high priority target. Situational awareness in this game is really low sometimes.

There's really not that much of a difference if it's by 1 or 2.

I have to say from first impressions, I feel like I've flushed $40 down the drain. This is the first video game that has made me think that maybe I need to retire and stick to mobile games from now on. I think my line to my friends was, "I have a better chance of becoming fluent in Japanese from watching anime than I do of ever figuring out what the fuck is going on in a game of Overwatch."

I don't think it's helping that this is the first team shooter I've ever played, and the first PC FPS I've played in over a decade. I'm lucky if I can hit the E/Q keys when I want to :lol

It sounds like you're going into it with a negative mindset. Give it a while. Play vs. AI until you can comfortably handle at least two characters, then try quickplay for a while. My roommate has never played an FPS before, and that's exactly what she's doing to get a feel for the game.

Learning the characters, their roles, their counters, how to predict them, and how to navigate the maps takes time. Give it at least two weeks of regular play; if you still don't like it, no big.

I don't think he's necessarily "hard" but there's a big difference between someone who can only put up his shield and someone who knows him: when to switch to aggro Reinhardt, when to back up, when to push forward. I'll go Rein in a pinch but I always struggle to make a difference with him, as my win rate shows.

Play around in the ai bot matches first to get yourself familiar with what characters you want to play.

Have you ever played in a game where its more than 1 or 2? Cause I havent. If thats the case, why even call the other team an underdog at all?

Im assuming if youre in the top 1% that you probably see the actual underdog difference, but since that applies to so few people, i find it weird that they see 52 vs 51 an underdog.

I just had a KOTH underdog match a game ago. It was 64 vs 66. Their team had a few 70s and ours didn’t have any. However, there 70s grouped with a 50 something, so that’s what brought it down. However, our team was all solo and their team was a group of three, a group of two, and one. We won the first match, but ended up losing 3-1. Most of the matches were pretty close and even, it honestly could have gone either way. It was disappointing to lose, but whatever. I didn’t lose that much rank anyways.
