Overwatch |OT4| You Want A Good Genji, But You Need The Bad Hanzo

Shit's too fast, the combo is fully done by the time you stand up. Literally just hit shoot > melee > nade on your keyboard as fast as you can. Dunno if mashing wraith form or something gets you out though.

Not saying it's busted, just saying it's really and kind of unexpected.

Edit: Here's a hilarious gif going around of it happening to somebody https://twitter.com/100ryun/status/753200228178599936

i noticed that people have been shooting people in the nuts during sleep. had someone do that to me yesterday.

While I'm here I want to point out Ana's burst combo after sleep dart is 170 damage lol.

Sleep > shoot > melee > nade adds up to 170. If you get shot by her before she sleeps you that's 250 damage, enough to burst down anything that's not a tank.

Dunno how to feel about that. The nade part of the combo also heals her for 100 and denies the other playing healing.

That's not bad at all. 170 is only if you're close and someone doesn't wake you. She has to land her shot AND the sleep AND be close and not interrupted to pull the whole combo off.

Can't if the Roadhog doesn't fuck up (or if the hook decides to put you behind him or some shit).

FtH is RNG based so it happens. Can't get out of flash > headshot combo though which is 165 damage flat.

Human error is amazing, though. Even as Tracer I've survived more flash + fan the hammer comboes than I've have died to them, and I've played my fair share of games and am Rank 64 in competitive.

Mistakes are bound to happen.

Well if a McCree does flash > FtH on a Tracer they're actually making a mistake since they should just headshot you. If your attitude to a combo is "they might fuck it up" that's a pretty bad take, all I got to tell you fam.

In any isolated situation though sleep = near death or death. I don't think it's too nuts really, just dunno if that's something that should stick with her kit. Having to get the combo off is p moot since you're immobile and it lasts for several seconds.

Well, when a combo is inescapable (or close to it), all you can really do is fight for that escape (even if it's unlikely with your Hero) and/or hope that they mess it up and make the job easier.

Edit: Arguably if you have a decent amount of health you COULD also try to kill her first but I doubt that's the best thing to do.

So, the original OT is closed, so I ca't quote the OP and see the ID list.

Anyone from EU want to play together sometimes? Mostly quick play, casual play, no raging, just playing for fun. I really like this game, but can't really stand playing with randos that keep raging about everything and throwing slurs. PM me your tag, or just point in the direction of a list, if it exists.

So what's the word on when consoles will get this update?

PC regular mode still doesnt have the update. Its only on PTR which doesnt count towards anything on the regular game.

My guess is that it will be shortly after the regular PC mode gets it. I know theyre doing something at comic con in a few weeks, maybe theyll announce it then?

Im thinking that it will be a little while.

Only character that needs another ability is Bastion

dude's toolkit is SO boring

His Recon mode desperately cries out for something else to work with.

Here's what I want for Bastion so that he can finally be interesting: Make his recon form move faster so that he can get from point to point quicker. Also make his healing and his form switching quicker so that he can go recon --> turret -- > recon ---> heal etc. fairly quickly.

To compensate for this he gets less ammo (maybe half as much) in turret form before he needs to reload and his reload takes longer in turret form. Perhaps switching forms would reload his turret form as well. This turns him in to much more of a stick and move skirmisher instead of a "sit in one place and hold down the "fire" button until they are dead or you are" character.

He would then be a character that could move around quickly and be fairly survivable on defense while occasionally stopping to unload his turret on incoming enemies before falling back.

What do you think?

I don't think that's the point of Bastion. I think he's fine the way he is -- he is useful for many situations where you are holding on defense, especially paired with a Rein for protection.

So here's something.

Zenyatta's discord + Mercy's boost + nano boost = unstoppable?

If these stack then Genji is even more crazy with buffs.

This is getting old but 3games, 3 leavers and down to rank 37 😭

Rest in piece, you poor soul.

Edit: Question, if I'm rank 64 and form a theoretical party with everyone else on my team being rank 30, for a group average of around rank 35, will I get put into games against people ranked around that level? Because if that's the case, that seems pretty broken.

As much as people are coming up with these crazy boosts, you have to keep in mind this would basically be a team built around boosting one character. I highly doubt any team is going to be running three supports. The whole idea in giving each support some sort of boost is that each support is viable as a pick, not that the team should run all supports to boost one dude.

Quick play is unusually junk for me today. Escort game with teammates who wouldn't play the objective.

Nepal match with 3 Genjis who refused to switch.

I can't imagine how much more saltier I'd be if I was playing comp (sans hero stacking).. Probably enough for today.

I think it will match you with a group that is around the same group ranking you guys have.

However, I cant say that as fact because I normally play solo.

Im pretty sure itll try to throw in another player ~64 on the other team.

But handling one and 5 -30s will be easier than a whole team of -64s. Still pretty broken in my opinion.

The question is, if we were to win, would I get as much EXP as I would from a match against people around rank 64?

It sounds great on paper till you find out how the system works. Sure you'll be matched up with lower skilled players but if you cant carry hard you will lose a fuck load of points. I saw this happen first hand. I was in a group of ranks 42, 44, 46,46, 48(me), 58 and watched the 58 derank after every loss. Its not worth it.

As I stated previously, I wonder how much EXP would be GAINED, though. Assuming I can carry/win.

After Comp came out, QP is more relaxed and kinda shit now. Most of the hardcore guys are sticking with Ranked games. QP also has way more leavers now.

Tried Ana, don't like her. I'm either a crappy medic or a crappy sniper. I'd rather play any other Medic or any other Sniper and just be good at the one job.

now that d.va's ult is basically a guaranteed 2-3 man kill, should you be able to destroy it before it explodes a la riptire? imo yes.

I think leaver penalty should be more strict, like 3 leaves and you're banned from comp for the rest of the season.

If you have bad internet you shouldn't be playing comp and if you leave intentionally then you're just ruining it for everyone.

Someone explain this to me, why do a good chunk of bad players always pick hanzo in comp? I seem to run into a hanzo player be it on my team or enemies almost 90% of the time and they always get slaughtered. He has no place nor business in comp especially on KOTH. He is not a sniper, he has no mobility,no escape means, no healing means, anybody can sidestep his ult easily. Bad players always try to play him like a sniper, never push payloads or cap points.

The wallhack ability is pretty useful. I guess they think that will help the team out. But if they're not good with him, it can be detrimental. I think he's pretty mobile but you need to play him right and not rely on his Ult which is pretty useless against good players in Comp.

weeb power is strong

It still has way too many counters, destroying it is not necessary.

it's only counter is hiding behind a wall or v specific hero counters (reaper memewalk and mei's ice block)

Oh god, I must have blocked it from my mind.. The escort game I had on Gibraltar, one of the spots on my team was like a swinging saloon door. Someone left, someone else would join mid game, see how bad the situation was, leave, rinse, repeat.
