Symmetra is such a Queen! Sounds almost identical to in-game voice! That was so good.

I picked it up about a week ago with the Traget B2G1 sale (along with Civ 6 and Paper Mario for my wife). Been playing Overwatch more than Civ 6 surprisingly enough. Big fan so far.
From my introductory experience I'd recommend working with a couple characters from each class as you feel out the controls, but jump into player matches instead of AI so you can see how other people play characters, it sheds a lot of light on what each character can do well.
So far I'm finding that I do well with the tanks and supports. Got a good feel for Reinhardt, Road Hog, and Zarya already. Can be pretty effective with Ana but always have good rounds with Lucio.
One thing I noticed from the World Cup conversation though, no one used Torbjorn basically. I do great with him when on defense. Is this just a quick play pubs weakness that gets eliminated by a well constructed and cooperative team?

In all the videos I see of Johnny Cruz he always puts on the too-cool-for-school attitude but he's Lucio so I forgive him.
Have you seen some of the other vids of Darin de Paul, Reinhardt, from BlizzCon? Looks like he had a ton of fun screaming about other Reinhardts and pregnancy announcements.

I would easily say Torbjorn is the worst hero in the game by far. Can't think of a scenario you would ever need him.

Oh well. I think my win streak is 5 now which is why i gained almost 60 points with that win.
I decided to go Reinhardt because we needed a second tank and I'm feeling a bit more confident after messing about with him on QP.
One of my team mates thanked me for carrying us which felt really good lol. The torb on my team was pretty upset about it though. I think I had gold with 16 elims. Really weird game actually.
But now I can add Reinhardt to my "getting there" characters.

For some reason I have to consciously force myself to stick with my team and actually DO MY JOB and protect them when I'm playing Rein. My Tracer soul is always telling me to flank that Bastion.
...charging a turret Bastion always feels so sexy...

Think I had a Reinhardt on my team that was a Tracer at heart. On Numbani attack first point and everyone goes middle but he goes from the left and charges in. Everytime I saw him he was flanking and dying.
I've never seen anyone fly like this aside from Winston, gave me a good laugh.

Yeah just keeping in mind that I'm here to PROTECT peeps is the most important part.
Once he clicks he's so powerful though. It feels amazing when you've impressed upon the enemy team what you can do to the point that when you drop shield and just start walking forward, they scatter.

Nope. She can still get hit though if she's in the way and then she'll get locked on.

- More Winston
- More Roadhog and Mei
- More Zen and Mercy (Zen especially)
- More D.Va
- More Torb and 76 on defense
- Less Lucio
- Less Reinhardt
- Less Reaper overall
- Ana about the same, more nanoboosted McCree and possibly 76 or Pharah
- Zarya about the same
Unsure about Widow or Pharah usage wise. Pharah's fundamental problems are still there, and I don't play enough Widow to care honestly.

Just made the jump to plat here. Needed 15 points to rank up, but the last match gave me 70 so hey. Streaks are a beast.
Diamond will be the target for next season though. Will mostly hang out on PTR by now.
Yeah he just said in the chat "what about the rest of us?". Like our DPS were doing nothing and our Zarya held her ultimate for 2 checkpoints. I got nanoboosted once per round meaning our Ana was very slow with ult charge build up. The other team were definitely a lot better than us but they didn't have a Rein so we got in free shots whilst they didnt lol.
I really hope I get platinum now.
Man it's so hard playing Reinhardt sometimes when you mainly play Reaper and Genji. I just want to get in there and fuck everyone up but I remember that Reinhardt is the rock your team depends upon. Skyline is really helping me develop my game. Such a good youtuber.
Also if they don't have a Rein then free earthshatters.

i think I read on here that it doesn't, and Torb's turret doesn't lock on her, nor does Zen see his discord marker if he hits her before she goes invisible (but she remains discorded until it wears off).
She's 31 but I don't think they ever said how many years she stayed in the cryogenics chamber.

Jump pack the other Winston for 50, Hold down fire for 6 dps, mix in melee to kill the other guy. Win every time.
I don't need a strategy, it's just not fun.

Well, if they prevented that, they would just feed themselves to the enemy team, with the same exact result with the exception that now they have a higher ult %.
Honestly, half of the characters are completely ill-fitted for 1v1. Only McCree vs McCree is kinda cool.
I mean locking for the entire match. So if you spawn as a character, you stay as that the whole match. Would make the mode much more interesting and dynamic.
Sometimes you can get him as he's reloading, few greater feeling moments than that.
Buuuut I usually undershoot and he still has enough gas in the tank to shred me.
More Winston and more hog and you think less reaper, riiiiiiight.
