Played a comp game with the most toxic piece of shit I've ever had to play with before. Easily lose. Next game? He's on my team again. We lose again. Next game? He's on the other team. We steamroll them.

Fuck this game sometimes, man...

I agree...there are some seriously toxic players in ps4 comp.

They're almost always the ones who will quit and fuck the whole team over as well.

This is definitely a thing. A few days ago I saw an enemy Mei use the ult in front of our spawn after what seemed like only 15 seconds in the match. How the fuck is this possible?

Lulz, yeah it's fast as a bitch...maybe a 10ish% nerf to the build up?

That seems fair imo. As someone who doesn't use her all that often I could be dead wrong, but I don't want to see her nerfed to the ground (I absolutely love having a Mei on my team lately).

Like, mei builds ult fast but if she's building it with 20 seconds it means that she's landing every headshot within those 20 second and wtf is your team doing to allow that?

Do you guys have like a roadhog standing still in front of her?

Yeah, I mean I've had matches where my team let Junkrat spam bombs at the spawn and he had his ult super quick, but that was because my entire team grouped up and focused on every person but the Junkrat that was doing damage to them. If somebody has an ult and the match has barely started, it's not just the character's ult speed that's the problem - it's your team letting them build ult that fast.

*1 defense hero became useful instead of having defense heroes be a liability*

"Can't have that now can we?"

Haha!

She's always been useful. When tanks were barely played because everyone wanted that sweet high profile meta coolness, she was just less useful. Her ult was just pretty meh.

There's still room for her ult to be beast, which it is now, and not let her get it every minute when played by an average Mei.

Anybody have some recommendations for quality Overwatch streamers? Unless I'm playing Lucio and trying to escort a payload, I tend to suck no matter what. So I'd like to find some talented folks to watch to see how they go about utilizing the various characters.

Yeah, this is where I defer to you guys that play mei and have much more time playing the game in general.

I've only had the game for like 3 weeks with a level of 75 I think.

I don't know of any support streamers, but Seagull is great for some game tips and mechanic tips.

He's always getting questions from people on how to improve, so it's a great stream for that kinda stuff, and he's a pretty chill and entertaining guy.

Mei is honestly in like a perfect fucking spot right now.

There should be MUCH more pressing things to look at than a defensive hero finally becoming viable. Just because she can be annoying doesn't mean she needs any kind of nerf.

*I never play Mei, and on maps like Hanamura you can here me say "Fuck Mei" under my breath many, many times.

A minute is honestly a pretty long time to generate ult. You'd want to get it within 30-40 secs because that's about how long it'll take for nano-rein/reaper to come out.

Also always been useful? She was barely played before, because in a game where deathballing your way through with speedboost she's very easily countered, and also when pharmercy was the thing her wall did jack shit. I still loved playing her, but even i could tell she was not the optimal pick. Now she's important because you need someway to isolate someone from ana.

So for now i have:

-Reaper
-Rein
-Pharah
-Hanzo

Still not even one of my favorite skins. I feel like game is giving me what i don't want to have, lol.

Btw. Did they change icons in hero select screen?? D.VA's icon looks SO weird to me for some reason.

My game kicked me out of my (comp) game and it lost connection to the server, but when I closed the game to restart it downloaded a small update. :I

Am I dreaming? Did I just play several quick play games with 11 other competent players who knew how to play the game?

I wish I could get these games all the time. Also 2 loot boxes today, 6 whites, 2 blues. And they weren't even RIP poses. Thanks Blizz.

Seagull. He's a pro player, one of the best DPS in the world, but most importantly he's such a chill dude. I dunno, most streamers are so obnoxious. They're so salty and yell so much when they do good or bad. When Seagull do a team wipe he barely acknowledges it. Such a cool dude just in general. He plays a bunch of Hanzo, Mei and Genji (one of the best in the world with all three), but also messes around a lot with seriously good Anas, Winstons, Junkrats, Torbjörns and even Bastions. I've watched lots and lots of footage of him playing. He drops extremely good tips during the streams too, like really in-depth stuff and stuff about the meta that's way above what people on GAF thinks about the meta. His situational awareness and knowledge of team comps is also insane.

Okay, enough Seagull advertisement from me, lol.

I'll take Ana meta over Ressurect meta any day of the week by the way

Mercy skin reminds me how much I hate that shit. Clear the entire point then lol Mercy appears out of her box

I second this, I NEVER watch streamers for the same reasons you posted above.

I've looked at a few links of his that were posted in this thread and he's jus a down to earth type'a dude.

I've also learned quite a few general tips from him that I feel have made me a better all around player.

I do t think Ana and Mercy work very well together.

I Iove it when people are brave enough to go Ana/Zen (not pro, just my diamond games).

But Lucio + Zen/Ana is still the standard and I understand why.

I mean, most of the pro players that stream are pretty chill. Tviq, IDDQD, Mendo, etc. The only exception I've seen is Steel. Fuck that guy.

But Seagull is the only one I've seen give tips on how to improve your game and is just a plain awesome guy. The only other streamer that comes close to him is MoonMoon, but if you're looking for tips, Moon is definitely not your guy lol.

1 minute, as in from a dude who has only played like 2 hours with her. A dude called me.

And she definitely had her share of the playtime prior to this meta. See: the massive number of whining in these threads that used to occur, and still does, to a lesser degree for some reason.

I'm not saying she's broken or anything like that. She's a solid pick, and I'm glad about that, but with how good her ult is now, slowing down the gain a tad seems in line to me.

And then she makes you zzzz... XD

I read a J into your sleep expression when I first saw it and the whole thing had a much different meaning.

I like Zen/Ana, too. I think it's a solid pick on consoles, especially because I consider Zen to be the best Pharah counter on console. An unrestricted Pharah is a nightmare to play against.

TFW when you spam I need healing in the brawl and your Ana ignores you when you're at 20 health, and it goes on long enough for you Soldier to come over and drop a health pack ;__;

Thank you Soldier ;__;

It's so demoralizing to let an enemy Rein/Hog/Zarya, etc. get away with super low health when they have an Ana. You know that she just got a free ult. And the tanks instantly have full health again.

So why again they allow MM to take players from 1 000 SR spread?

Fun to be in ~2350SR game and get rolfstomp brain smashed by few low 3000SR players.

edit: 2nd game in row where low 3k player carrying his gold friend, ffs

that's when you whoop dat ass. ;) I've been in so many matches of all-plat vs. 3 fallen diamond + a gold friend and plats, and we've dragged them to hell and back. Super rewarding. And on the flip side I've been on teams w/ 3 diamonds and been shut tf out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Must every Mercy I get teamed up with be Symmetra tier of usefulness, and every single enemy one have passive self-transcendence?

Only 2 resurrections an entire match, really?

You would be amazed how hard it's to get Mercy ult up if team is so incompetent that they die in instant. Hard to get ult up when you can't heal anyone because they die in blink of an eye. Or just screw you over by breaking line of sights constantly or running away from you while spamming "NEED HEALING!!!!".

Also could just be case of being picky when to res, doesn't always make sense to res 1-2 players while in some situations it makes sense.
