Or when you stomp in round 1, then in round 2, the team changes to a joke comp (expecting a miraculous carry to happen?) and loses.
i find it really hard to take down a pharah as ana if she has a mercy on her ass

One night I asked for someone to pick a hitscan character to take care of a pesky Pharah and so one person switched to Tracer. And of course it didn't work at all. A good Pharah can, for the most part, stay out of Tracer's most lethal range. My response was somewhere along the lines of, "well, person X, that's not exactly what I was looking for, but good try!"

Soldier and McCree are the most reliable Pharah counters. if she's dominating your team and those two heroes are already picked, that means those guys aren't doing their jobs. sorry if i've repeated this before. i decided to add Soldier to my main rotation for Pharah specifically. he's been working much better than i expected.

That never happened to me, especially in QP.
The feeling of playing a good McCree is amazing.
My aim is so bad though, that I have only pulled this off one in about the 12 times I have used him.
Back to playing my amazing Lucio
Play Widow and Ana if you want to become better with McCree and few others.

Mei is basically a tank. 250 HP, 150 healing (while invincible), projected wall to block even more damage...
Think about it. She functions more like a tank than a DPS.

That's why I like tanks. It's possible to do the job of DPS, and defend people. It's not as effective, but it's ok. It's my favourite role.

Has Blizzard made any noise about addressing competitive leavers (like maybe next season)?

Boo. I want NRG to win but i expect Fnatic to take it. IDDQD is really hard to deal with, and has a far better team to back him up.
qd was on point A in like 15 seconds as Tracer and just murdered everyone. It was hard to watch, especially if you're rooting for NRG.

It's so obvious that the McCree and Soldier didn't understand that their role was to take out Pharah. It's like Reaper refusing to deal with Roadhog or Reinhardt. It's pure negligence.
And I know I could play Ana but I rarely play her and I shouldn't have to.

Well, Junkrat is pretty good against Tracer.
The answer to the question is team comp and strats and map positions they're going to use matter more than single character match ups.
What does he have except the mine which is effective against a Tracer? Junk is imo the worst character who gets picked a lot.
A good Junk can take on a good Tracer. I always enjoyed those 1v1 in Comp. it's like a minigame.
Gotta make use of the trap and also know how to predict their Recall positions. It makes them predictable.

If she moves into an area that is covered by mines/bombs/traps there is a good chance she gets accidentally one shot. My opinion of Junkrat is pretty low at the moment, but he is good at doing that kind of job.
This too. McCree fits into comps better anyways.
