Is asking for a no stakes game in QP where the team is even half as competent as a competitive team too much to ask?

Edit: The answer is apparently...no(!). Just went on a tear with a ramdom ass team. Am now sufficiently warmed up!

So much fun, holy shit. That last one was something else, you guys had some really good plays there when we had less people than them.

Well deserved diamond for owzers today, he was killing it.

Also no more support for batman.

How does someone who finished 3500 last season get matched up in a 3900 game for his first placement match? He played Reaper and Junkrat against compositions that neither character were useful at countering and we got f'ing steamrolled.

I think that's just when matchmaking wants you to lose lol. I was playing on my alt which was 4300 and somehow a guy who was 3550 was on my team and was throwing on purpose too. Matchmaking can be pretty bad sometimes.

Today's themes of competitive have been "Don't run double-hitscan to deal with Pharmercy" and "Throwers".

Despite that, I still climbed, because I was winning the games I wasn't supposed to lose.

I had a guy get one Graviton Surge the whole game, which he throw on the ground outside of spawn and switched to McCree.

Yeah. Mercy is not a good choice for dives.

I have gotten to the point where I let them know that if they intend to stick to Mercy, they are better off leaving me to my devices.

That's it. I'm done. Never playing this game on a weekend again. Leavers, throwers, toxic, and just plain poor players. Somehow only on my team despite the statistical impossibility. Hilarious.

My "DPS only" alt is showing me that I need to fill less and instalock DPS more on my main. I fill if absolutely noone will switch to tank/healer, but the games I've filled are the only games I've lost so far after placements.

For now, yeah. I don't really space in my house to properly play on pc. I was playing on my couch lol. I'm getting a desk by the end of the month so I'll be back on pc after that. I'm definitely looking forward to going pc full-time, the experience was so much better on there.

It is a weird feeling when the sniper brain activates and scores you a ton of kills. Like, it's only happened to me once--in a recent match I played--but it's the closest I've ever felt to godhood.

I see why people main snipers now. It is an incredible feeling.
