52 elims with Roadhog (gold elims and damage), 67% hook rate, and I got PotG with a quad kill. I feel like a damn surgeon with this right click now that I changed my sensitivity.

Haha I know what you mean. I'd been playing with standard sensitivity (25), a while back I decided "ya know what, I'll try turning down my sensitivity and see how i like it", and boom suddenly I actually can aim lol.

My game stopped for two times today, and in one of them I was actually kicked out. This shit sucks, thankfully we ended up winning the game.
Yeah glad we could turn that around. We actually had a really good 6-stack in terms of role diversity but we were all over the place in the first two games, it was very frustrating. 2cp also doesn't help obviously.
That 50s game on King's Row was funny, the dude that left didn't sign up for that. What a stomp.
Any say on reducing Bastion's effectiveness at range so it can't wipe out half a team in an instant on certain maps?

Given the current cap mechanics they should probably ditch notches altogether on capture points. They could just have it so that the capture decay happens at a slower rate akin to the payload.

If they know you're on their team they should throw, I know I would.
Real answer is that absolutely no one plays CTF at this point so I'm not surprised it's a terrible experience. I thought it was really bad when it was new and everyone was trying it out back then.

Main thing I'm noticing as my ranking continues its recent freefall is that people in lower ranks are extremely tepid about pushing the point when they have advantage. Our team will go up 2 or even 3 picks but still just hang out at the choke, and then lose having made no capture progress at all. It's not much fun.

2 PotGs with Roadhog tonight and a new SR record (1767 lol) - a damn fine night and I'm confident I will continue to rise since I have been a major force in every match this evening.
I've gotten 2 wins because of it tonight, so I love it. :-D

You're basically guaranteed to move the Payload at least a third of the way, but you're not guaranteed to to grab a third of a capture point. There's never a situation where a team wins just by tickling the payload.

But in the end, the payload still comes down to the minute difference in pushing both teams do, and there are plenty of games where one team makes it x-1 distance from the destination while the next team makes it x-2. One team claiming victory over the other for a minor difference still exists in both.

So I'm probably 6-7 trophies away from the platinum on PS4 and decided to go for the mercy rez trophy tonight and holy shit do you have a big ass bullseye on your back as mercy.
I was staying behind my teammates on first round lijiang tower and even got a few double resurrection's we won the first round and then pretty much for the rest of the night had people popping ult's or straight up hunting me at one point I died 4 times in a row not far from spawn seems like no one cares or pays attention when your getting attacked until your dead and they are no longer being damage buffed its rough.
on side note I played with one zarya tonight who kept me protected it was nice ☺️

I'm doing well with McCree and Zarya now so I can play them if someone nabs Soldier. Good enough for Comp cuz I was playing with shitty randoms but my own performance was good. More heroes in my pool now.

I went back to Pharah for a bit but I lost my mojo with her. She was my most played hero originally but for some reason I fell off using her. I'll need to get used to her rockets again. I guess I'm not into flying in the air anymore.
It's relative to how you perform to other people playing the same character at your skill level, not relative to your team

I had some alright comp matches when I sq'd last night. I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love, D Va. Turns out it's better to just pick the character I am at least somewhat competent instead of trying to fill in the "must-haves" when I don't know those characters that well. At least this seems to be the case on low-mid gold.

What's your ranking though. Anything plat or above is pretty decent honestly.
I solo queue only, I have diamond on 3 accounts. I've been maining support since S3, I like to imagine that it helps.
I started playing overwatch towards the end of competitive season 1. Wasn't level 25 yet until the start of season 2 and got placed in 1900s gold. I've been diamond ever since. (I generally solo q because the people I play with are in different time zones)
I don't believe in elo hell especially how easy it was to level up winning a few games in a row previous to the win streaks nerf. I think if you're still at a certain rank after some time and aren't improving its probably because you are ranked correctly.
The important thing is to have fun
I don't see how grouping up helps with the usual comp play problems. Playing with 1 or 2 friends doesn't help the fact that 3 out of 5 players on Overwatch exclusively plays offense and blame the rest of the team for everything that goes wrong. You know why that statistic doesn't say "3 out of 6"? One player left.
Playing in a 6 stack has its own share of problems, beginning with the fact all my friends are all over the place SR wise.
