So first game yesterday, we had to defend on Gibraltar. Things were going well at the start until our only dps decided to switch to Widow. He got a pick or two but the change completely screwed us over and the Widow did not change. Then he picks Widow on attack and does nothing, rest of us try to carry but 5 v 6 can be really tough at times.

How do people deal with sort of thing? I sent the person a message and he just didn't care. It's annoying sometimes how my group and I are trying to get out of plat you get people who just throw away games for whatever reason. I wouldn't mind if it was balanced but I'm seeing this more often with randoms on my team than the other. I really think Blizzard need some sort of in-game reporting system to prevent these people from ruining the game for others and putting teams at an immediate disadvantage.

Finished the night 1-2, so not a great day. Hopefully tonight fares better for us.

You can report people via XB1 but it's been a long time since I've been notified that MS have taken action against someone who was trolling and even that does not stop them playing, it's most likely ends with a chat/messaging ban. I think more people would report if it was built into Overwatch, something that would result in the offender not having access to the game for a while, or limit them to quick play/arcade only.

Hopefully it's sooner rather than later but that is good to hear. There are people seriously ruining this game for others on console for whatever reason.

Speaking of Widow on consoles, I came up against one yesterday who I'm pretty sure was using a keyboard and mouse. The speed with which they were getting headshots was insane.

I do despair with people in this game, I got properly triggered by a 2 stack on my team that went Widow and Hanzo on Oasis, oddly we got destroyed. I asked nicely for one of them to change, and just got ignored, I honestly felt like just giving up, if I was solo I probably would have.

But the best one I was Phara and having a great time until their DPS changed to Soldier and Widow and I could not do anything, so I changed, and instantly someone else picks Phara, then spends the rest of the game flaming the team for not dealing with Soldier and Widow.... (that one we at least won)

Even if reporting was on console, Blizzard doesn't consider character picks a valid reason.

Ok, I probably should have gone into more detail. He was shooting at the floor in spawn sometimes, firing the venom mine on the floor. When he did go out, he went straight into the heat of fights and try to take people out with unscoped fire on the rifle. He was certainly throwing. He started off ok (playing normally and sniping) but either he got tilted for some reason or just decided to give up.

We got rolled and barely stopped the payload which obviously isn't entirely his fault but it certainly did not help.

EDIT: For the record, I'm not complaining about the Widow switch, I've been on teams where we've had competent Windows, especially on Gibraltar. The issue is he was intentionally throwing.

Went against the same team 3 games in a row, they had a Rein/Bastion/Mercy combo on Anubis and here my team is having me as the only DPS as Soldier.

I can't even tell you how wrong it went. But we needed 2 healers for some reason apparently...

Then I got a team with a Torb main on attack Gibraltar. I'l let you guys guess how that went.

R2/R1 are my heal and buffs. L1 to glide to teammates. Toggle heal is preference. Pretty high sensitivity in the 70s for quick turns.

O switches to pistol, L2 to jump. Those are the most important for me.

Why is Blizzard constantly putting me in matches that are literally ending?? In last few days it's been a nightmare. I can barely get in match that isn't already started or almost finished. I left 2 (maybe even 3) of these matches yesterday, because well... i don't wan't to waste my time, and play already lost match for 1 or 2 minutes and i also got disconnected twice yesterday, from 2 matches and i just got this msg when i started the game today:

WTF?? XD

Switch circle and triangle and this is the layout I use for her. It's the most ideal way because you need to be able to zip and float around.

It actually took me from being a terrible Mercy to just being a pretty bad one.

I agree with this. Widows and Hanzos put in work that doesn't always appear in the killfeed. I had an amazing 25 and 2 game on Dorado the other day on the back of a merely-proficient Widow would always land a body shot at whatever I was shooting at - but I didn't even notice until I re-watched the footage.

Once I thought I had solo'd an enemy Zen and Junkrat as Mercy, but after watching the footage you could see the streak of a Hanzo's arrows quietly cutting through them during the fight.

My silent protector. Had no idea he was even there, when the fight was going on.

It's always the match right before you rank up that can easily go wrong. The true raid boss.

Switch circle and triangle and this is the layout I use for her. It's the most ideal way because you need to be able to zip and float around.

It actually took me from being a terrible Mercy to just being a pretty bad one.

Yeah. I moved ult to circle for all characters since like season 1 as it's just quicker to get to and pull off than triangle.

Weird griefing yesterday...

I was doing normal uprising, for my weekly wins, and a three stack who all chose Rein,Tracer and Mercy just wouldn't heal me, and wouldn't fight.
I just stopped playing and would pick up the controller and move around every now and again because I didn't want to get a leaving penalty...but still. So weird, I don't see how it was fun for them. It was just boring for everyone.

Mostly the reasoning I have. It's nice that if you have it on you can fly to them behind walls but I think it's only a minor convienince to all the additional stuff you now have to do.
