So whats the new Skins theme?

Is it supposed to be "One Year Later" and here is how they look now? Or is it more "More cyberized"? Something?

Between Bronze and Diamond, not at all. Even in Master I would say it only goes up to "mildly annoyed" at most.

Occasionally you get the people who talk shit about you not having a mic but for the most part you don't hear any comments about it. Just make sure you're in voice so you can hear others.

We are long passed due for a symmetra legendary.

I'm starting to think that we were wrong about the "Reinhardt Problem" and instead it's just "the dominant tank at the time" problem. We're at a point in time where the best way to fight against Winston is to run your own Winston comp.

Technically, it was a Reinhardt problem for almost a year :). Although, D.Va would of been a huge problem if they didn't check her during S3.

Anniversary skins look like concept art for the older art style. Some people speculate it's Project Titan designs which I think makes sense.

So I'm doing my placements right now (never wait that long btw, you don't want to play this kind of games) and I literally cannot believe these people were in mid plat last season. Flanks, shields and double healers do not exist in this reality.

Genji has been significantly nerfed since launch and people are still bitching about him. Comes to show how OP he was originally and that some people just won't stop complaining.

Oh my god, this last game. Everyone was barely above 25, I straight up "bronze to gm challenge" stomped everyone as Ana, it's not even fair. The game's trying too hard to find other unranked players.

Also this.

Actual footage of people asking for Sombra.

If this keeps going I'm gonna start picking Hanzo.
Edit: I can't, they're instalocking him.

Hey if I'm a pathetic mid-gold player of 2330 and my brother is a laughable bronze player of 1310, does that mean our SRs are too far apart to group up for comp or does that only apply at higher brackets like Master?

Bronze through Diamond need to be within 1000SR of each other, Master through Top 500 need to be 500SR.

So, you either need to lose 20 points or your brother needs to gain 20 points.

The number of smurfs I face in Xbox one quick play is absurd. So many people head and shoulders above their actual level/skill level. Especially the 2-3 stacks of smurfs named "OnlyHanzo" and "OnlyGenji" that slay everyone. I know they're smurfs because they have like 30 gamerpoints when you look them up.

I know I suck at gold comp rank, don't ruin my quick play too. Does Xbox even take action against people with smurfs? They'll just dump their smurf account if it gets bad feedback anyway.

A good/pocketed Pharah feels way more OP to me than Genji has been since he got beat to death with the nerf stick. Tracer too honestly. I consistently see them shutting down teams more in Masters/Grandmasters than I do Genji's.

Someone goes Genji, someone goes Winston and can easily keep them at bay or shut them down. Not much you can do against a Pharah except hit scan, and if she's being pocketed you basically need a Zenyetta. And Tracer is just annoying as all fuck.

Thanks Anti. I looked at his Overbuff yesterday and was like "why the f wouldn't you take a break from comp after the first ten losses in a row?"

You know what? I'm wondering if the long-rumored "Gladiator Mode" isn't coming. And looking at those skins, it might be happening in Junkertown, where mech-ish combatants fight to the finish.

Also agreed on Sombra. Top-to-bottom, I'd say she's the best for skins. I would wear literally any of her skins and not feel self-conscious. I think she's the only one that's true of.

I really hope we get an in-game version of Junkertown in Overwatch. The lore behind it is so cool and it would look different than all the maps currently in the game.

I have a question about progaming.

Literally every single team I've seen has been 100% dudes. I know that Gaming still has problems with women and I expect them to be a minority, but I still expect them to be there. But I've watched a few OGN games and have not seen a single female player. Am I just missing them somehow or is there a bigger problem going on here?

None of the big pro teams in Korea, Europe, or North America feature a female player on them to my knowledge. I don't know specifically why there aren't any but my best guess is the culture behind it. Video games are not a "girl" thing across the world according to society so you have less women playing and less women reaching the top. From there I think a lot of dissuaded by the toxicity they would receive from the gaming community as a whole. I remember early on in the pro scene there was one really good female player in Korea that was accused of cheating and despite being innocent was kind of run out of the scene. I have no idea where she is now.

They look like some weird concept art to me too but the Bastion skin throws me off. I find it hard to believe that one of the first designs for Bastion was him as a racecar.

It's the future where Battleborn sold more than OW.

Lmao

This last match on Nepal had a self-proclaimed "gm smurf", "widow main" that didn't want to switch because he "doesn't have to be the one to play tank". So we lost the first 2 rounds, he finally switched to D.Va and we won 2 rounds, on the last one he wanted to go back to Widow and we almost lost until he switched again to D.Va and we won. "I have gold elims, I'm not getting healed" etc.

Geguri streams, still plays a dope zarya/winston.

Well I know there are some streamers but I can't think of any pro players that are women.

The closest I can think of besides the woman driven out of Korean esports is a transgender woman who played on the World Cup team for France last year.

Reminds me of a match I had last night. GM Widow on the other team that had dropped to low Diamond, only this one was intentionally throwing. He played great allot of the time and then just sat there feeding whenever our team wasn't making enough progress other times (one time literally - no resistance at all as I Dva charged him).

They need to do something about Genji.
So annoying and in every single game. He is just OP without any doubt. Nerf that shit.

i just tired of bad genjis getting carried by his cooldowns. Most genjis are predictable really and they wont switch if they are getting countered. deflect>dash into you can net you some easy headshots on them.

also why are enemies allowed to stand on top of you. Is Blizz not aware how BS this is. It's always the Zarya and Genji's that do this

it's an efficient combo; it's his bnb lol

that's like saying every roadhog is shift>left click and tap right click to pass the time.

Yea, it's way too efficient that even shit Genjis can easily kill any squishies with it. At least Hog's hook has been nerfed to the point where it's not always a guaranteed kill like it used to be.

I should play comp more. I tend to play QP against GMs and even top 500s and can hold my own to a certain extent, and I'm just barely Master rank. Yea, they are probably on heros that aren't their mains, but still.

Pharah looks kinda similar to her default, so the theme could be "concept art".

If so, time to make Jet Set Sombra a real thing.

Maybe they are "Project Titan" inspired skins. Who knows.
I have the art book pre-ordered on Amazon when it went on sale, but are there any other official early concepts of characters/skins that are floating around already?

Comp is more fun when you don't care about SR. Who cares about a few losses in a row, just have fun.

Hard to have fun when you play your 10 placements (I just started like 2 no the ago) and it puts you in way over your head and when you try to play comp now, your teammates just shit on you.

Genguri is the woman you were talking about who got run out of the scene. He's just letting you know she's still playing (and very well, at that).
