Owners of both consoles: Does Xbone OS makes you prefer it over PS4?

So i was mostly buying games on my PS4, but after numerous updates of Xbone's OS it made me prefer to play games on it than PS4. Activity feed that is not filled with ads and actually really cool to check on friends achievements and videos. Instant resume to where you left the game at. Switching from TV to a game. Phone app that is snappy and has the store integrated. I mean all these small things kinda make me prefer to play games on it instead of PS4 despite the power difference between the two.

Anyone else leaning more towards Xbone with all of the recent updates?

Suspend feature makes me like the Xbox One OS more. Also being able to pause downloads and organize my pins via my phone.

I use it to stream videos from my surface pro 2 to my TV a lot, and back when I was in class I'd pull slides from skydrive to study. Cable box features are nice as well. Given I don't play many games on either system at the moment I certainly use the One more.

I like the OS for the most part, navigating the PS4's endless square scroll OS is straight out of hell.

I like the Xbox One OS more in pretty much every aspect outside of recording.

I don't prefer either console over the other at the moment because they both have issues.

yes! its so much more organized and having the store built in and nota POS website is 1,0000 x better.

Thats really my only BIG hang up with the PS4 os .. the store is horrible.

Yes, its much more organized and updated regularly. My friend even traded in his Ps4 because he hated the OS and stuff so much.. Since he did that, it looks like Xbox is my multiplatform machine again this gen. Btw, I don't have a Kinect, but it seems voice commands and such can be very useful especially if you have your cable running through it also.

Nah, I cant stand the Xbone's OS. I barely turn the thing on because of it.

I much prefer the cleaner look and simplicity of the PS4's OS.

The PS4 OS is a lot more organized and straight forward but very dull and basic. The Xbox One has a lot more going on at once and has so far evolved faster. Time will only tell which OS I'll prefer because look how different the 360 dash ended up being from 2006 until now.

It makes me hate the console, nothing is practical, and it feels slow. If anything it makes me appréciate the speed, simplicity, and practicality of the PS4 OS.

I like the suspend/resume feature of it though.

Oh yes for sure, I am currently playing Diablo 3 on Xbox One and hollyshit, that Suspend/Resume feature is coming in handy BIG BIG time. I can't imagine how people are playing it without this now.

Beside that, Xbox Record that. And Kinect navigation makes me prefer Xbox One version most of the time. But then again, final decision comes down to my friends.

On the side note, I tend to use Xbox One more and more for different services for example. YouTube, and now the full media support is coming in. So I prefer one console to do all gaming and consume media.

I have a PS4. used to own an Xbox One. I prefer the Xbox One UI BY FAR. PS4 UI is a mess. Although the PS4 is the better system, XBOX ONE has a much better friends list, a better social integration, and much better way to go between apps.

What annoys me most about the PS4 is the clutter of crap that you can't delete.

I dont really care about OS features because if my console is on 99.9% of the time im ingame.
Its not like im doing programming or any office work on my console so its not importent for me.
Only thing i would be interesting in is the ability to pause downloads (on PS4) or a Spotify app.

Playstation OS gets me, simple and to the point and no tiles everywhere. Once they add folders I'll be set. I have a brand new xbox and I've barely turned the thing on, but it's mainly cause I can't use the tv watching option since I don't own an cable box.

Also they really need to start adding voice search to apps, since the OS in general was practically made to be Kinect-friendly.

I like both about the same, though the suspend/resume feature on my Xbone is a huge + over my PS4. Don't know what the fuck's taking so long for Sony to implement that.

The monthly updates are the one thing I want from the Xbox One on PS4. I full expect those to die down and MS to return to the bi-yearly updates they did on 360 but for now it's a very nice thing to have since these consoles released with such a lacking feature set.

Yes.

The suspend/resume, online notifications, voice controls, activity center, and being able to switch from tv to game instantly make me buy most of my games on the Xbox.

The PS4's os feels dead and lifeless but I'm not complaining.

My brother has an Xbone, and I'm still amazed whenever kinect recognizes me when I walk into his room.
The kinect might be shit for games, but I still think it's neat device.

I would rather eat steak on a plain wood table than fast food burgers on a fancy marble table. I'm just here to dine.

Nope the xbox one os is terrible, it's gotten better but it doesn't hold a candle to how good the ps4 os is.

I don't get how Microsoft has dropped the ball on the os compared to even the 360.

Mirror this sentiment also adding that party chat is so much crispier and cleaner and recording videos in games is a breeze and never takes me out. Still though I still buy my multiplats on ps4 due to the graphical disparities.

I even enjoy the controller for Xbox more plus I have to charge the battery a fifth as often.

Most of my friends are ps4 only this gen after the misstep from MS reveal. So with that I still play my ps4 more

By far the toughest feature to implement. I believe any instability issues with the XB1 OS stem from suspend/resume.

Honest question here to the XB1 owners: If you are not interested in TV features at all, only gaming. Wich ones make you feel that are better on the XB1? Because Remote Play, Using any Headset in the controller, save to USB, and Soon remote Share are pretty great features.

I don't care for the OS at all on the Xbox One. I don't care for the tiles. I honestly wish the PS4 just copied the PS3's UI. It was so minimal and very easy to get to stuff pretty quickly.

Have no problems with ads on either console. But I do prefer Xbox One's Metro UI. It's just more attractive to me and I use the multitasking, suspend/resume, Kinect voice commands a ton.

So yes I do tend to purchase more games on the Xbox One partly because of the OS and the other because my friends are mostly on Xbox even with the power discrepancy.

The Xbox One OS has always felt so clunky and confusing to me. Maybe if I used it more I would get used to it, much like Windows 8, but I prefer the straightforward nature of the PS4.

I bet people who hadn't used either would start up the Xbox One and probably be really impressed by it now, but the state of it at launch left such a sour taste in my mouth I don't know if I'll ever get used to it.

Feature wise MS has the edge. But the PS4 OS is much more streamlined. It's a tossup to me right now. Once Sony has folders and suspend/resume I'll be back in Sony's court.

I cannot disagree more with this statement... Everytime I have to do anything on my 360 it feels like such a chore... There is shortcuts for everything in the xb1 OS

My prefer my PS4 os mainly because it feels smooth and snappy. When I'm on my Xbone it feels more choppy and sluggish, like the old PS store used to on PS3. It's like they changed places.

I'm not too worried about the OS if I'm just trying to turn on the console and jump right into a game. But outside of that, absolutely it's Xbox for me.
