SCEE: Let's see if we can create a wall of text that's bigger than our already huge mandatory ugly PSN sticker. Not that the cover would be remotely nice otherwise, but are they insane or just lazy?

I would like to know the thinking behind these platinum boxarts, because I can't see how they appeal to anyone (I guess the yellow makes them stick out).

Serious answer:

The number one intended demographic for these releases is the frugal customer who values saving money above all else. So the covers are intentionally designed to look as cheap as possible, both to lure in that customer and teach ones with more refined tastes a lesson to pay a little more next time when a game has just come out with its original boxart.

Thanks for taking time to answer.

Why is it called Platinum if it's yellow? Why did they use the Platinum covers for each of the individual games and then further label the compilation as "Platinum"? Ugh.

To punish you for not buying it at full price, obviously.

Is this one new ? I haven't seen it before :

It's strange to see the next Raving Rabbids going 360 (and Kinect) exclusive.

wow, the PlayStation brand appears at least 17 times on that cover, not including the PSN sticker references which would take it to 20, or the Sony Computer Entertainment logo, which would take the Sony branding count to 23. Add in the Uncharted logos, Naughty Dog logos and PEGI logos, and we are looking at a whopping 30 logos and identifiers in a single cover. That must be one for the book of records.

Wow this is ugly as hell. The older version in the stores was better
