The choices in graphical options is already the best I've seen on PS5 pro.

When you click on each stash tab there is a 1mn video explaining what it is used for, nothing extraordinary but helpful for a beginner like me.

I see you also seem to be able to roll to avoid? Don't think I've seen that in many ARPGs.

Yeah it's a dodge roll with invulnerability frames like in Dark Souls/Elden Ring and a lot of other modern third person ARPGs. No Rest for the Wicked also incorporated this into their game too.
What's nice about it is that you can animation cancel your skills into a dodge roll. So, for example, if you start to do a heavy hitting but slow attack, and notice that you're about to get fucked by the boss' big attack, you can roll out of the way instantly. It really keeps you on your toes.
And another note about active block - it's not like you can block indefinitely and become invincible. Depending on your stats and skills, your block gauge or whatever it's called will deplete as you get hit and then you'll get stunned if it gets to zero. So there are a lot of decisions you will need to make about when should you block.

Sounds fucking amazing.
This comes from a noob in the genre so it might sound stupid but something that kinda puts me off those games is that they always seemed a bit too passive to me, meaning that the most you could do to be defensive was kitting enemies instead of rushing in. Being able to block, evade and even animation-cancel makes this sound more like an actual action game instead of the usual ARPG.
I'm so damn excited.
Yeah I don't really care about those 30 bucks. Not only they give you enough points or whatever they are called to get the almost mandatory tabs but it's also the kind of game in which you can put easily 50 hours in, up to hundreds or even thousands. 30 is nothing for that imo.

Yeah just pick the uninstall wizard as your starting class. World record any% speedrun right there.

Yes, this really puts the A in ARPG. In other games, it's mainly your gear, stats, and skills that determine your combat effectiveness, but in PoE2 you can make up for bad gear somewhat with godlike gameplay, reflexes, strategy, and positioning. Ideally, you want a healthy mix of both.

I’ve been watching stuff and that seems to be a common opinion. Personally I will play whatever feels the best and has the best animation. I’ve been waiting for these PoE2 animation / rigs for years…. It looks soooo good.

Oh yeah definetly. I like playing games at my own pace, be it 1 hour or 8 hours or whatever I feel like without feeling any kind of obligations. That kind of stuff is BS indeed.

No one has datamined the game or really dove into end game.
This will be the exploration phase of the game where arguably everything is good until min/makers come in. So play and build whatever you like. Respec only costs gold to redo if the meta evolves.
They all said the developers have on record said melee is going to make the game easier so warrior with shield is the play.

One of the key things to decide going in is what ascendancy class you want to spec into. Everything on the passive tree can be respecced. Ascendancy choice cannot.

Swords will come with the Duelist class sometime during EA. Skills are specific to certain weapons and there are no sword skills yet. So, hammer/mace and board are only possible for now.

Do you think it won't reset once they open the servers? If not, I will go ahead and do that on my Xbox just in case there is a wait. I remember Diablo 4 let me wait in line in queue with two different platforms on the same account but once one of them logged in, it would kick me out of the other. I hope this works the same way.

I would imagine this will just roll into logged in on that console.
My issue is I’m not going to leave my TV on and running to risk image burn etc.
If I turn my tv off it turns my ps5 off along with it.
So I won’t be able to take advantage of it now but I’ll likely still hop on a few hours prior on ps5 and on pc to try to secure immediate log in on one.

Sometimes armors are specific to classes but most of them can be used on any class. Also, I think I saw you ask about bonuses. There is no pay 2 win in this so armors are completely cosmetic. Servers open at 11am PST. For me it's 1pm central.
