Sony is trying their best to get me to leave this damn ecosystem, I swear.
The more expensive ones include physical items and requires adding in address info, etc.

I already received my shirt and hoodie. For those do it on the official PoE website, but buyer beware you'll get PC codes instead.

I got the $240 for PC, and the $60 for PS5. The free cosmetics, but also the 600 points to spend on stash tabs for PS5.

Sony really screwed this on their end with their restrictions. :/

It's really hard to justify buying micros, etc on console.

I'll never understand charging people to play online when a free version exists with steam.

Steam is clearly successful, so for Sony, Xbox, Nintendo... it just comes down to greed. Yeah servers cost $ to take care of, but I imagine steam has FAR more users and cloud storage, etc to take care of, and yet again, free.

To make MTX bought elsewhere not work on a cross play cross progression game because you want a cut is baffling. Pure greed. That's all it is.

Let's say I pay the 30 bucks for the early access. Do I get more stuff like more stash space or something? Or do those 30 bucks only serve to grant me access to the EA?

Honestly I wasn't interested but the game looks fucking amazing and I'm feeling the hype.

It's $30 of mtx money. Trust me, you'll need the stash tabs anyway unless you hate it and only play for like 2 hours lol.

Yes you get 300 points to spend in the shop as well. 300 points is equal to $30.

Yeah, I don't have plus so I had to restart all of my games when I got the PS5, and now again on my Pro. It got to the point that I have no motivation to even play the Pro cause I have no saves. I played Demon's for about 2 hours and that's all the time I've spent on my $700 console. Then I was like sweet, I'll just play PoE 2 on it. I'll have an opportunity to use it. Then Sony pulls this crap and there is zero chance I will play it on there. Imagine spending $150 on stash tabs, armor sets, etc and not being able to use them on my PC or vice versa.

At this point, I wish consoles would just die and Sony would have to be forced to put all games on PC. Paid online and even cloud saves are cancer.

Thanks for the info frens. I'm off work until early January and got a stash full of weed, so POE 2 might just be the perfect game for me right now lol.
I'm stuck in the desert (literally) until January working, but with a shit load of down time. Game couldn't have come at a more perfect time.

I clicked on this thread because I'm feeling it too!
I tried for two hours maybe POE on PS5 so I'm not familiar at all with this type of games. Just by looking at the youtube videos I can see that POE2 is made with a lot of care.

My question is do you have to spend money in game to progress or is it only for cosmetics?

No pay to win, only cosmetics and storage space.

You’re not really buying the game… the $30 is just mtx stuff is my understanding. Seems pretty fair / light. Imo

A few storage tabs I’d argue have so much utility they’re practically necessary for quality of life, but that’s really it. And you’re potentially) buying those tabs with the 30 unless you choose to buy dumb shit instead.

Speaking of the guild stash, I think you need to message me in game to join the guild. You can't just search for one like in Diablo 4. That's how it works in PoE 1.

I'll post the relevant info in the OT if clarky clarky is making one.
I started one last night but unfortunately some work has come in that I need to clear before tomorrow night. I'll try and finish it tomorrow if possible but its 50/50 and it'll be bare bones at best. I'll try my best.

If not Arsic Arsic OP in this topic is pretty hype and will do the job :)

You have to pay money for additional storage tabs; you will probably have a Not Very Good Time without them after a short while since even the (many denominations) of currency take up stash space. Personally, I would go so far as to say that the game without them is effectively the Demo, and buying some tabs is when you say "I am no longer playing the demo and would like the actual game now".

Basically puts the cost of the game at - I dunno - 30 bucks or so? There's a pretty practical limit on how many you'll actually need to be effective. The mandatory ones are Currency tab, Map tab at the very least and a few additional Large or Small tabs (The "premium" storage tabs make it easier to post items for sale). Some of the more esoteric ones may-or-may-not be useful to you down the road but by then you'll know what your requirements are.

On the plus side, those are reusable each season and anyone who has been annoyed with the limited stash spaces in modern diablos will probably be glad they have the option to buy more.

ya ya of course. ill prob be buying it anyway. watching vids on the game now. by the way, is there any difference to buying from poe website vs steam?
If you buy from the site, you'll get a Path of Exile launcher to play from there, but you can also link your account to Steam with an extra step.

From Steam is to just play from Steam (you can also do some extra steps to be able to play from PoE launcher too)

Cool tips for the tabs :messenger_ok:
The game comes with 300 points, I suppose this is enough for 3 tabs to begin exploring.

Are the Early Access preorder bonuses class dependent? I'll buy in at $60 but what class is the Lord of Ogham armor/skin for, or is it generic for all? The description didn't say. I'm on console but I don't think that matters, but I like to be specific anyway.

Sword & shield has always been my go to in fantasy games. Loved how in Nox I was able to use it to actually block attacks instead of just being a defense buff like in Diablo.

I'm watching some videos on POE2 and apparently the warrior can actually use the shield to block? Fucking awesome.

You can see the normal prices here.

But note that typically every 2 weeks or so they have a - like - %50-off weekend sale on stash tabs. You'll easily survive until the next sale before you hit the wall where you think you need/want some.
So, might it be better to save those 300 coins you get for the 30€ that costs the early access until there's a sale? I figure the default inventory should be fine for a while, no?

So this is just the early access launch and the final version is 6+ months away? Will your progress be wiped when the final version launches?

I'm kind of confused here. I bought the $30 pack on Steam. Then I received an email since my PoE account was linked with Steam and it sent me here:

Yg545mZ.jpeg

So, did I have to claim the Steam key on this page to be able to play on Steam?

What about the Epic Key? Are these keys only tied to my account, could I have traded them or something? I'm kind of confused. It's weird that you I could buy the game on Steam but activate on EGS.

Claim the key on steam, but it doesn't look like there's going to be a preload so you may want to use the client for now to be ready for launch. The client/preload should available in a couple of hours.

I know absolute nothing about this game and only got into Diablo this year via 3 and thought 4 looked nice but kept bouncing off it.

That said I am very hyped.
Have it pre loaded on PS5 PRO and PC.

On pro for PSSR you can set the mode has performance Balanced ultra etc like DLSS and it has 120hz mode. V impressive should be how it is on all PSSR games.

As long as Valve keeps working on their Steam Deck line and hopefully when Xbox/Windows improves windows experiences for smaller devices, you will have a new, slowly growing base of PC-lite players who will eventually overtake Sony within 50 years. Maybe.

Because everything in your post doesn't matter to console players otherwise. The PC gamers can scream it from the rooftops that PC is a better experience and offers better prices, but console owners simply don't care. However, if a bridge is built and is constantly being worked on/stable, then they will care more.

Some pretty interesting visual options on PS5 Pro here. Dynamic res, scaler tech (including PSSR), GI, culling, 30,40,60 and 120 hertz toggle. Very curious what DF has to say.

It’s an arpg so wipes are per the norm.

Game only has the first 3 of 6 acts now, but a massive chunk of the end game.

You run through the first 3 acts in 25 hours, then have to run a harder version of all 3 again. This will put you to level 65 and end game which is the real game.

You have thousands of hours of content available in early access to no life with. But expect the game to likely not carry over these characters.

If they do they will exist in a “standard” version of the game when 1.0 launches with a league where people will be motivated to start fresh.

Sounds a bit overwhelming. :goog_relieved:

Might just do like with Diablo IIR and beat it once and move on. That said, there are many classes that look super fun to me so I might end up playing this multiple times.

When do we expect to get the other 3 acts? All of them before EA is over?

Don’t be a pussy. Nut up and let the good times roll.

Game will be worked on for another 6 month until full release so expect a new class periodically.

It's the kind of game I'm scared to play because it looks so damn fucking good I can see myself losing my life, job, friends, etc to this.

Consider me hyped as fuck, tomorrow will be a nice day. :goog_relieved:

Yes, defense is a lot more strategic. You have both passive block (how it works in pretty much all other games) and active block where you hold up your shield and block everything. There are also skills that change how active block works, in interesting ways.
