Fantastic pic, I expect to see it in council houses everywhere, right under the 'live, love, laugh' murals

We are not much different from our animals friends. Pain, joy, sadness, comfort are all things felt in the animal kingdom.

Bittersweet in the end.

Stuff like this is why I don't understand those who say that animals aren't capable of love and things like that.

Everyone's so wrapped up in racial empathy these days but I feel like huge portions of humanity are still shockingly behind in terms of empathy and understanding towards animals.

Anyone with half a brain would just need to have one look at dogs to see how many emotions animals are capable of.
People who say otherwise knowingly don't want to accept that, because it then makes it easy to torture, eat and kill animals.

They have penguins in Australia? i thought that place was just a jungle?
Yes but they are venomous penguins.

Just joking.

Seriously though the fairy penguins are a major tourist attraction down here. Especially in a place called Phillip island. Where the Moto gp is held. They are beautiful little things.

I didn't know that penguins put their wings around each other to comfort each other

How do we know they aren't meeting up to talk shit about their deceased partners? "Oh man, I'm glad that asshole is gone!"

Saw this going around Twitter a couple of days ago. You're telling me these two penguins go to the same spot every evening and be sad together, standing arm in arm staring at the distant horizon?

I've stared at this post like 5 times and still don't know what you are getting at lol
I was being cheeky about breaking down them walls that were indoctrinated into us for centuries for the atrocious things man has done to the animal kingdom, and how they convinced people to instantly reject that animals can have the very same feelings as humans.

It's science after all, take the route of "just chemical and hormonal reactions, yo."

They too have the very same dopamine, serotonin, cortisol, etc., as we do. Why would they react differently to said chemical reactions as man?

Even elephants grieve for weeks on end when they lose a loved one, even hold funeral like rituals.

I'm not doubting the concept of animals grieving; find it rather fascinating. And I'm a big proponent of the idea that animals have a wider range of emotions than most people think.

This particular unsourced tweet just sounds like bullshit.

Can we just have a cute feel good story? :(
