People care more about the first because thats what people buying commercials care about. They don't care about old people so the demo numbers are what the shows performance are judged on
(something about old people not being easily swayed on advertisements and having less expendable income).

Well, this is a show in it's 3rd season though. CBS can smell that syndication money and overall numbers of viewers is more than enough for renewal. Plus doesn't CBS as a whole has older-skewing audience than other networks?

I rolled my eyes when the nerd said don't tase me bro.
Eh, the episode was a bit cheesy but I enjoyed it mostly because we just literally just came up for air from all those heavy episodes. And stuff actually happened, people moved on, etc and wasn't entirely played for laughs.

Yeah I think it does scew older.
POI already 1 syndication deal, so thats a lifeline if it ever needs it (hopefully not)

So I've been playing catch up with this show, bought the first 2 seasons, and binged watched them all. Then got the rest off my on demand cable. Wtf man, I just watched Carter eat a bullet. Bullshit!

Stuck with a fork.

Finch was like:

I shot people I like more for less.
Finally got around to watching the last one. A little silly, but I liked it. It was hilarious seeing the flight attendant have to deal with more and more unconscious bodies. "Could I get more blankets?" lol

This is one of those episodes that felt like a bit too much for my taste, but it was still entertaining. And that was the second Freaks & Geeks guest star. Gimme more!

Yeah it felt like a seaon 1 episode. I would wish they would ditch all of those fake internet sites and services too.
Darknet... and whatever.

Yeah, darknet is a real thing, and so was the POI's drug website. It was called Silk Road. FBI think they found the founder/creator, and seized all his assets and shut down the site (and also charged him in connection to a murder).

Remember, Finch does fly. See tonights repeat of the Serial Killer during a hurricane episode. Finch flies down to the port town John is in. It's safe to assume he'd have flight gear for flight sims, to help keep up on some flying skills.

Ah okay ;)
Still, fake facebook and google and such. It's understandable but then don't show mockup screens and such, it just takes me out of it. Also the airplane landing was silly ;)

I actually like their dedication to fake facebook (friend czar). Especially since they've still used it when looking up people's online profiles well after the original episode.

To me they've made it just feel like a website that exists in that universe now and not just a random fake facebook clone.

oh yeah, surprise, it's a pretty good soundtrack. Unless you don't like the main motiff of the show, which is used alot. For the Poker/Old people money laundering episode, they had a spiffy jazz club rendition of the motifff.

There's also a track called Mi Famillia, that I can't place which episode it's for. Very Mellow track with what sounds like a trumpet solo.

Yeah. PoI has incredible soundtrack. Men in Suit, Elias, Root theme, machine theme Have a nice day, etc,

And they top it by some of the best songs selections on TV.

Is there a full version of that song? I thought it would be All In since that is the episode it is from, but, that doesn't appear to be it. The first time I heard that jazz version I loved it, always wanted a full version of it.

But yeah, POI is the only (non-anime anyway) television show I can think of where I've ever enjoyed the soundtrack. It's so fucking good.

Casino version should be -High Roller on S2's OST
Latin version should be -Mia Familia on S2's OST

So while I was taking notes while watching the show
(prospective spec script, anyone?)
I ended up rewatching the extended pilot with the only revision of the pilot I could find on the internet. It's crazy how much was in there that was cut out. Pretty much the Reese plot of New Rochelle was in there (flashbacks and all) are some of the things that were written in then removed (the extended pilot already goes 55+ minutes with none of that) and then later found themselves into the second half of the first season.

Didn't know that the Pilot had scenes cut. Shame they had to cut it. It had some good scenes in there, like John writing about Finch is his little notebook.

I can't read what he writes though. Anybody know what it says?

"Good with computers"

edit: it wasn't so much cut as it wasn't even close to the final revision. A bunch of it was probably cut for running time. The subplot where Carter is investigating New Rochelle/Jessica and Peter Arndt's death were written well in advance.

Finch also gave Reese his apartment in the unaired pilot, whereas he got that a few episodes later in the aired episodes.

I really did like the idea of opening the series with him about to jump the bridge but then the 4th of July fireworks begin.

"Good with computers"

Yeah, I read that too, but I mean in the first page and the first sentence of the second page.

Sneak peak at tonight's episode

Just a little funny scene about a new suit, and Shaw's breathtaking weapons.

I haven't looked at the upcoming schedule, because I'm afraid we'll probably get another 2-3 week break after tonight, because of the Olympics (networks can be afraid to show new programming against them).

And we're back! For a bit.

Provenance

Reese reunites with the team to save an antiquities thief, but the group ends up in a high-stakes heist.

Two weeks. Off for a week, then back on the 18th.

Just caught up with this, superb series. This current season has been insane, I like how the show went from a procedural with a twist (preventing crimes) to a full blown sci-fi epic with conspiracies, obscure organizations, twists and turns. Shit has been crazy this current season.

oh and
carter :(

It was interesting that in the last episode The Machine preferred to give Reese a relevant number instead of the government or Finch. That could probably have bigger implications in the future, does The Machine has Reese as a back-up 'analog interface' in case Root bites it? Reese with admin access will pretty much be win-button, even more so than Root.

Oh man, God Mode Reese? It's like handing Batman a Green Lantern Ring.
