wait, no comments about the last episode? I loved it! Zoe is always a nice addition and I hope we see more of her, even if she implied that she wont be coming back anytime soon

Zoe's awesome. She and John have such great chemistry, haha. Good episode. Roy as the POI was kinda funny cause I kept seeing... well, Roy. The flashbacks were great. The Machine evidently has a matchmaker function. Hahahahaha, oh my God the more I think about that, the more funny it is.

kind of thought there'd be someone inside the room helping. That assistant wouldn't have known about the break earlier as he wasn't around.

I do hope that Miles (Leon) can become a reoccurring asset :D

On his IMDB profile it looks like he only doing two episodes this season.

Close call this episode, I wonder if they will have an episode were they fail to save or stop the person of interest.

There's always the future!

On that note, think a new nemesis was created tonight, with this british MI6 guy.

Technically that happened the week of the reporter. They thought she was the victim but she was technically the "perpetrator" and got the guy killed for mistakenly being connected to HR.

I like Ken Leung's character. He'd be fun as a recurring helper if they need him. He seemed jazzed at actually helping people, and having another behind-the-scenes tech guy would be pretty helpful since all the others are more likely to be helping John in the field than doing stuff like Finch does.

Finch's Fusco :lol

Damn, I loved how dense this episode felt. And I was so happy the british bad guy run away, another nemesis to add to PoI's growing list of awesome villains.

This episode reminded me, when they were talking about it being a game, that they need to make a Most Dangerous Game movie, and have Caviezel be the guy who gets shipwrecked.

Tried to google how many episodes Julian Sands will appear on the show, looks like they are keeping the extent to his involvement a secret.

If he is a new bad guy I wonder what kind of connection he has to the machine? It would be cool if there is another machine out there but instead of being controlled by the govt its controlled by an international criminal organization, this machine instead of helping others it is used to collect information and spy on people. It kind of makes sense for another machine to be out there, it seems like Wesley had access to cameras and also somehow knew that cloak and dagger would stop him.

Also why destroy the tablet notebook?

This show, I don't know if I can survive a whole season.

The b plot was just as good as the main.

Now we are involving MI6 into the mix? This will snowball quickly.

Very happy that John is aware of Stanton's presence and what this means for him and Finch moving forward.

I think that was one of the best episodes of POI to date; tense, gripping and the beginning of an entirely new plot line.

Now we have to wait two weeks.

I wholeheartedly agree. Superb episode and I actually felt at times that this could be the first time they fail to save someone who they are actively trying to protect.

I'd like to see miles back, he is fun, but I dont know what much he could do, since finch is basically the best hacker out there.

My favorite thing about this show that's extremely rare these days is that they don't ruin the returning character's entrances by reminding us who they are in a "Previously on" video package at the start of the show. If you don't remember them then tough luck. I can ignore the credits at the bottom of the screen and be surprised.

I agree. With all the criss-crossing plot threads it'd be real easy to spoil that, and I can see POI becoming a very hard show to get into if you can't remember/can't keep track of all the behind-the-scenes going-ons, but since it seems like it already had a pretty solid fanbase I don't think it'll be to the show's detriment. They did really well with having the first season be mostly episodic and establishing a core audience for the show before starting to get really mythology heavy.

Intense episode! Like many others, I thought they were going to fail badly this time around since the MI6 guy seemed to have all the sides covered. Looks like the Snow/Stanton plot is plodding a long nicely, cannot wait to see Stanton and John, loved her on Rubicon!

FYI to everyone that loves the music -- the soundtrack just got released this week and it's awesome:

Great episode! Just caught up on it.

The new villain's pretty awesome. Classic cloak-and-dagger British spy who enjoys a good game. I like it. Loved the return of Leon. I liked him in the premiere, and I like him here. Leung's really funny and seems to be having a lot of fun. And I love that they black-bagged him into the library. And he enjoys being the good guy, haha. Fusco and the fake cop was hilarious too. Also, Finch in the surgery ("It's squishy"). Too funny.

I like Kara/Snow plot moving along. Snow really does look desperate. I wonder if John will assume that Root's behind this instead of Kara, since he only knows that "she's" planning something big, not the exact who.

Some casting news:

Got any Person of Interest spoilers? — Peter
ADAM: Would you settle for some exclusive casting intel? The show has cast 24 and Hawaii Five-0 alum Reiko Aylesworth. She will appear in this season's
ninth episode, which finds Reese and Finch trying to protect a cab driver whose number comes up from his passengers — any one of whom could be involved in the crime. Aylesworth will play Regina Vickers, a Secret Service agent with a hidden agenda. The role is just for one episode... for now.

I refuse to read spoilers for this show!

One of my favourite actresses from 24, POI is really hitting it out of the park when it comes to casting so far.

Amazon Canada has the season 1 boxset for 25$ so I finally grabbed a copy. Dunno why the US one is still at 50$.

Love is in the air tonight, that's for sure.

I would guess that opposing forces are biding their time for the right moment, better be worth it.

That being said, Finch proved tonight why he's the boss.

heh, yeah, Love related episode.

I actually wondered if something had happened to Fusco, after building up a romance angle for him.

BTW: Nail Gun to Foot, ironic ending to starting the fight with a hammer.

Oh lawd, I almost had a heart attack when Fusco went down. I see Fusco as the one who may die first of the four so I'm always worried for him and I never want him to die.

I was pleading with my tv PLEASE HAVE A BULLET PROOF VEST ON PLEASE PLEASE.

Phew. I never want any of the core four to leave haha.

Hahahaha, the romance episode! I found it all incredibly adorable. The only thing missing was some snarky banter back and forth between John and Zoe.

I immediately clocked the PoIs of the week as trying to kill each other, but I didn't think they'd actually get back together. Finch and Reese's impromptu marriage counseling session had me in stitches. Nice to see Fusco actually out on a date. I really thought he was bombing it, but then the stake out was pretty cute. Rhonda seems nice. Also liked the new cop that asked Carter out. Finch and Grace were also great together. They probably should have aired this on Valentine's Day or something, lol.

Great episode. Very fun. Reese running around trying to defuse the bomb was kinda funny for some reason. Though Finch's moment at the end was kind of bittersweet :/

Oh, and Reese nailgunning the killer. Too awesome.

Aren't the cops wondering how Carter/Fusco keep getting into these situations? Guess they always resort to the ol' "Follow up on an anonymous tip".

Mark Pellegrino is literally in every Sci-fi show ever made.

In this departament? Where HR worked without anyone raising a fuss? I doubt cops there are used to asking tough questions :)

I've bassicaly started countdown to when Mark Sheppard will appear on PoI :D

lol, when was the last time they actually solved a legit murder?

has Titus Welliver shown up on PoI yet?

Mark Sheppard and Titus Welliver would be great guest stars.

I think it'd be hilarious if either Finch or Reese showed up as the next PoI and they have to try to figure exactly which recurring villain plans on killing them this time. They've probably got an enemy list longer than the phone book.

That would be great :lol

Even better if both of their numbers show up.

sounds like a midseason/end of season episode!

I also wonder if they'll ever get into the other side of the machine. Remember, the machine exists to find out terrorist plots. Will that side ever come into conflict with Finch and Reese? Say the Government Cabal in charge of the machine decide, for whatever reason, to let one of the plots happen, and the Machine decides to have Finch&Reese intervene.

Now that would be intriguing. Though why let a terrorist event happen? The Government's entire purpose is to stop critical events... unless they're totally evil and corrupt.

I think the Government Cabal will clash with Reese and Finch. Root is already on a crash course with them, Kara too maybe. Though Reese and Finch hunting terrorists would be kickass.

They might be playing bigger game and be willing to sacrifice human life for bigger gain or use it as opportunity to get rid of somebody. Machine would propably recognize such plan and predicting goverment's lack of action would then send numbers to Finch to intervene.

It'd be an interesting premise, that would use the entire breadth of the concept of Using a machine/A.I. to spy on the populace.

You guys think if Root or Elias came back as a number, but this time they were the victim, that Reese and Finch would try to save them? I come back to that conversation Reese had with Finch when it turned out Charlie Burton was Elias... and how many people he would kill now that he was free to run around.

Depends. Elias is locked up and at the very least he seems like resource to be used later on.

With Root, they would easily let her die.

I could see John letting her die (unless her survival is paramount to stopping something worse), but I think Finch would end up trying to save her, if only to prove her theory about "bad code" wrong. But then if she back-stabbed him, it might prove it right.

I gotta say it again, but Root is so damned gorgeous. I know she's incredibly psychotic and homicidal... but I'd put up with that to go out on a couple of dates with her (or Amy Acker). She's at least very passionate about what she does.

I can see her dying like this, Finch going "I'm going to save her" and Reese stopping him/disobeying his orders :)

And yes, Amy Acker is much hotter as a psycho than she ever was as a nice girl :D
