Persona 5 |OT2| Someone must have been helping you go to bed early. Talk!

I have an important question regarding late game time management...
11/23
I just did the intro to Shido's palace, dungeon #7, I have 23 days left. The game went out of its way to point out that I should strengthen my bonds before I steal the treasure. I have beaten every dungeon so far in the minimum amount of days possible but should I wait until the very last day to beat this one? Will I be locked out of some Confidants if I beat it in the next couple of days?
I would greatly appreciate some clarifications.

So, I should be in front of the final boss now.

At least I think so. I am in the second Save Room of Mementos Depths.
I will probably farm a bit more to equip my guys with the best buyable equipment (I already bought all melee weapons and have a few ranged ones and armor) and also get Yoshitsune.
The only Persona I am missing that I can still recruit should be Baal (lost him afterd dieing) and 1 or 2 treasure demons (I am missing a level 20 version and have level 30 or 35 as a max one).

I also tried the Reaper, my guys are dealing ~20 damage average. Yeah, how about no...
xD

Do the palace asap, it locks certain confidants.

I don't know if you want someone to confirm or deny but
you are not at the last boss

The dlc has reminded me of something, persona 2 has the best victory music after battles <3

Also I never played it but Persona 1 seems to have horrible battle music

i disagree, even persona 1 had great music :

Persona PSX battle theme

Persona PSP battle theme

Persona PSX boss theme

Persona PSP boss theme

Persona PSP Final boss

the original PSX sounds a lot like SMT, and the PSP sounds like modern Persona! Both were composed by shoji meguro, and i love both styles!

Well I'm finished.

Just. Holy shit this game. I can't believe how good it is. There's definitely some rough spots but this game is everything I wanted it to be.

I'll post some more impressions once I have time to compose myself.

Which one? The one for PS1 verion or A Lone Prayer ?

In any case Robo Rat has the best boss theme.

haha, that remind's me of the pharmacy theme in persona 1 and 2, was hoping it would be somehow back in P5, but sadly that's not the case

Persona 1

Lyrics :

To recover hit points, use Medicine and Gem,
When trouble arises and your friends are almost dying, rescue them with a Life Orb or Blood Orb.

For petrification you can always use a Dis-Stone,'
And for poison pains, Dis-Poison is the best.
When you are paralyzed you know there is Dis-Paralyze,
And to cure sickness, a Dis-Sick will do.

The eternal ally of those who fight,
Our city's friendly drug store.

Persona 2 :

Lyrics :

To recover hit points, use Medicine or Gem.
When trouble arises and your friends are almost dying, rescue them with Revival Bead or Incense Of Life.

You can recover SP with Chewing Soul,
To cure poison, Antidote will work.
When seeing illusions, use Awaken G,
And when enraged, a Sedative will do.

The eternal ally of those who fight,
Our city 's friendly drug store.

For the craftworker trophy - do you have to make all three pages of tools yourself? I didn't craft the eternal lockpick myself.
Not sure if anyone answered you but yes you do have to craft each tool your self. It does not count towards the trophy when
Kawakami
crafts infiltration tools for you.

Just started playing (2 hours in), but I'm loving some of the little details. The school being called Shujin academy is perfect (To quote Bakuman:"Shujin? That's like calling me a criminal!").

Post palace 6 sequence spoilers,

I already figured out what was happening a while ago, i even noticed the pancakes thing and i was convinced that Futaba was hacking Akechi's cellphone when she pretended she wanted to check it out because it was the latest model. I also imagined Shido was behind the incidents almost from the beginning, all i had to do was figuring out who was doing the dirty work for him, and at some point it was odd that they didn't introduce another character associated with the mental shutdowns and Okumura's murder, so it had to be Akechi (his story of how he had only witnessed the murder of Haru's father in the metaverse just didn't add up, even considering how it was presented in the game).

The only thing that made me doubt a bit was the fact that he had a Persona (Robin Hood at that), but I had the final confirmation when Futaba stated that the "Medjed" thing was made by someone in Japan without coding experience, at that point it was clear that it was him, a character described as generally very capable and smart but not exactly a hacker or a skilled coder.

I didn't know how they planned to justify the plot holes, because some scenes were clearly missing, but the unreliable narrator escamotage (because of the drugs injected to Joker) worked for me. And yeah the Thieves' plan to fuck Akechi is a gigantic asspull but i think it's fine anyway, it was cool lol

By the way Palace 6 was outstanding, really a brilliant concept executed perfectly. Also Shadow Sae was so, so, sooooo hot

I wish the normal movement speed in the "Real World" was walking and you could hold R2 to run, like "Dashing" in the Metaverse.

The MC's movement just doesn't feel quite right, and it's only gotten more noticeable as I've put more hours into the game.
It's like he's too fast, and his speed never quite matches his animation cycle, and there's some weird analog grading or deadzones, or something.

I like how some of the locations in Tokyo aren't even locations, but just high quality 2D paintings. (Jimbo-cho and Asakusa come to mind) Feels pretty old school and charming despite obviously being a cost-cutting measure.

Beat the game after 99 hours.

Holy SHIT what a game. I am already replaying it with all my stats maxed out so I can see how shameless I can get.
My only gripe with it is that the difficulty levels are botched for a first playthrough.

I can't wait for more Persona 5 side games (but more like Persona Q and less Dancing all night pls).

It's stylised animation that's why it's exaggerated and it's completely fine

I'd be really annoyed if I had to hold to run in real world as well, it's one of the reasons I barely do it in palaces in the first place. if you wanna walk then just title the analogue a bit and he will walk.

Damn I didn't enjoy Palace 5 because it was far too long, and now Palace 6 with
the casino coin gimmick... Sure it wasn't hard to get the coins required, but the backtracking was annoying and the dice game didn't give me 5k needed for the big slot... The level design in here is pretty terrible too... So many extra pointless paths on the member's floor. Hopefully the next floor is less tedious. On a good note, Akechi is a beast!

Mild mid-game persona fusion spoilers:

Jatayu + palace 5 treasure demon = Belphegor that has resistance/dodge for ALL the elements. Jesus the only thing that touches him now is Physical. It's great!

Damn, seems like I'll have to farm some mats again! Thank you for the response! I was tarting to think the trophy had glitched.

It was the Lone Prayer one, not feeling the vocals at all. The original isn't bad but it does sound suspiciously like a certain 90s movie :p

To me sounds like Mortal Kombat. The new soundtrack is not bad, but it rid a lot of music. The Elly's Theme is missing, for god sake.

So there is a true ending. To get that ending, should we explore all Mementos? Or Mementos has nothing to do with it?
I feel kinda lazy to explore all of it, but if I had to, I will.
Thanks GAF!

You need to fight the cheating shadow from the request in Momentos before you can start it iirc.

Good. Thanks guys!!
Actually no they aren't exactly right.
I'm trying to avoid being spoilery as much as possible but there is no other way to say this. I'll say that the true ending is what you get when you normally go through the story, you don't have to fulfil specific requirements to get it. While the other endings are endings you get when you do/say something at specific instances. In short the other endings are branches that you will only dwell into if you satisfy their condition.

Considering this, if you are on the normal track the game will have you complete mementos regardless, if you don't do it when the game asks you to then the game just won't progress forward. As such if you have already done it before in chunks you don't have to do it all at once in one go.
