Definitely not worth fusing the level 87 Persona needed to obtain (i'd argue that Ryuji and Ann have better fusion weapons that are actually viable in the midgame). Makoto's a bit of a late bloomer, because she doesn't carry when you first get her. She needs to wait until level 41 for Mediarama and 48 for Marukkaja, which is a decent portion of the game. When she reaches that point, she becomes the go-to for support.

Guess I'm not far enough to get the gun at this point since I can't fuse Metatron yet. For now, I'll probably keep Arsene at 89 Ag/Ma and level up the En stat. Is it confirmed the stats beyond 99 don't make a difference?

Really tho, whoever you choose as your 3 party members, MC + character A + character B, I would argue that putting Makoto in slot D will make your party much more versatile and survivable against practically anything in the game, compared to if you are putting someone else in there.
Don't fight them unless you have everyone equipped with their specific Evade skills and you have a persona with no weakness equipped in the MC. Yoshitsune, just like in every other occasion in this game hahaha, helps greatly. Make sure you have strong multi-target attack spells/skills for everyone, no time for single target attack, you have to damage them both at the same time.

Possible spoiler, I'm at November 30th (question about the Moon confident):
I wanna max out Mishima (Moon) but I'm stuck at lvl 9 because he refuses to hang out, he is in Akihabara but "have things to do for the Phan Site". I do every request he asks me but I did only 16 and I just read there's 26 in total... The thing is I didn't watch any guide until now so I maxed out the confidents I wanted, wich are : Makoto, Ann, Twin Wardens, Takemi, Hifumi, Sae. It seems that some requests require you to up your the lvl of confidents that I missed such as Fortune Teller for exemple... Anyway is that the reason why he doesn't want to hang out? 16 is too low? I'd be pretty bummed if so, I really dislike Mishima, he's the only one I upgraded for "gameplay reasons" (when I saw he upgrades the exp you gain in battles), so if I can't max him out on the first run for such a dumb reason... :/

Yeah. I think the most consistent, best overall team in Persona 5 is Ann/Makoto/Ryuji (though of course that doesn't mean other characters are unviable)

99 being the cap, I doubt you would see an increase. But I haven't tested it. I'm still early game (lv 26).

I used all characters pretty evenly since it's easy to switch Party member by just using the Stats screen when exploring and changing mid-battle too. All my characters had the same levels all game pretty much.
Got to the final boss with everyone at Lvl 70 and being able to switch between everyone was both useful and made sense (as opposed to past Persona games where you focus on using the ones you choose for the whole game as doing otherwise is cumbersome)
The enemies are annoying to fight, you spend huge amounts of SP in there, the gimmicks of the Palace are not fun, the music can become grating when you only hear the first few seconds because there's so many fights in that one and the palace as a whole is just aesthetically not pleasing... and I think it's not just the Palace but that month in general. It definitely slows to a crawl at that point. Amazing game leading up to that, and it picks right back up after the Palace, but that month in general is just meh.

I hate this, the initial personas are so damn cool, they're all famous thieves from literature and history, each with its consistent design based on said characters and all, and they all evolve to... Random deities! Some of which have literally nothing to do with the initial thief nor the character they belong to!
Oh well, at least Ryuji's is amazing.

Anyone have any tips for the last boss,
Once Shadow Shido puts rage on me I just kill myself due do his barrier, im guessing I need a persona with Rage resist or physical resist but I don't know any with those abilities.
Damn, I'm silly and didn't bother reading too much into their descriptions.
Still, I wish they would just make them upgraded versions of the same characters instead. Something like Zorro EX, I dunno.
There may be a theme and it's appreciated, but stuff like Yusuke's doesn't fit the character at all.

toukiden 2 is a good idea though. i'm probably gonna jump on there soon as well.
No it uses healing spells. Don't use auto-recovery if you're trying to be efficient with SP, it doesn't make the best of choices.

Palace 7 Big Spoilers:
ATLUS PLZ IF YOU'RE GOING TO GIVE ME 3 UNEXPECTED BOSS FIGHTS IN A ROW AT LEAST LET ME SAVE. I was playing through Palace 7 and thought "okay I'll go get the last letter of recommendation then go to bed"
So I do so, then try to leave the room to go save, and a big cut scene happens and then a boss fight. I beat the boss, and then ANOTHER big cut scene and ANOTHER even bigger boss fight starts. At this point I just turned off the console since I had to leave and I'm guessing that after that boss there would be even more cut scenes. Couldn't do rest mode either because I had to move my PS4. Ugh. I'll just replay it tomorrow I guess.
