Persona 5 |OT2| Someone must have been helping you go to bed early. Talk!

Futaba remotely hacked the cell phone to launch the metaverse app while Sae was holding it and Akechi was nearby. This caused them both to briefly enter the metaverse near Sae's palace. However, the cognitive version of the Police Station interrigation room was far enough away from the "casino" that there were no distortions, so both locations looked identical. Since both Sae and Akechi would expect Joker to be sitting in the Interrogation Room, this resulted in a cognitive duplicate of him to be sitting there.

Thanks and one more thing
how did Akechi understand Mona? I thought they said for you to understand him, you have to hear him speak in the metaverse first. Did Akechi meet mona prior?

It's pretty similar to me. In 3, you have AI controlled party, no debilitate, no heatriser, no yoshitsune, no kaguya. You get dual summons spells like armageddon that can one shot reaper but that's like new game plus or in late December.
Yeah that makes all the difference lol. There's no auto win button like that in P5 and nothing like Thunder Reign to stun the bastard.

He's a Persona that's been broken ever since P4.

Not only can you use him against the reaper, but he's one of the main tools used to make the NG+ exclusive fight easier.

Guess I know who I'm fusing tonight, heh heh

Why would you wanna do that? Just fight the Reaper during the flu season.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5tL7OO4DMA&feature=youtu.be

I can do that but I wanna get to higher levels sooner to complete the Strength SLink sooner. I'll check the fuse guide tonight.

I keep hearing about this Yoshitsune guy. Is he easy to fuse and be all powerful? Can I use him against Reaper?

He kind of breaks the game if you fuse him with the right skills. There are fusion guides out there to make him and MC essentially unstoppable and output a shitton of damage even at low levels. I actually broke a few of the boss fights early in NG+ by using him. Late game I could have beaten (12/24)
the Holy Grail without cutting the veins due to damage output
Tbh, I fused him after beating the game normally and went back to fuse high level persona to carry into NG+.

I'm just trophy hunting in NG+ so whatever makes it faster is fine by me.

I've been wondering if there's a reason why the opening features MC, Ryuji, Morgana, and Yusuke more than anyone else. Maybe it just flows better?

The twins? I did 6-7 levels of them back to back. It cost me a fortune, but I think you can do that confidant regardless of your level.

Also, you have to be pretty far in the game to fuse Yoshitsune. You need a certain Persona that you can only get from
maxing a mandatory confidant.

Edit: Oh you are on NG+? Then forget what I said.

Akechi had been trailing the Phantom Thieves in the Metaverse since Maderame's palace which took place before the TV station interview. When Haru is introduced as the "beauty thief" in Okumura's palace they initially mistake Haru for the Black Mask and wonder if she's the one who, and I quote, "has been following us."

So have anyone used the Gamefaqs walkthrough so you can max out all the Confidants and a bunch of other stuff, did you have time to grind the Reaper, while doing the exploit?

The guide I'm using on GameFAQS has one flaw and it's that it assumes you're starting NG so it really screwed me up with some parts and it has some errors of when a Confidant is available. It's good overall for Mementos and the books so far. But I'm sorta just winging it and trying to max out as much Confidants I can. I'm already behind on the Fortune one cuz it screwed up telling me about a requirement to progress on rank. I hope I get the trophy before the end or else I'll be pissed. But I'm ahead in multiple ranks with other Confidants so it balances out.

on NG+, I had maxed all non auto rank ups, read all books, and beat all video games by 11/29. Super easy to do.

I'm currently on my NG+ save file, and during some of the days when you can do the Reaper exploit, the guide says you can hang out with some of your friends and that will get you some item. I'm wondering if you have to do that, or if you can ignore it and go to Mementos instead.

I don't think Reaper farming is explicitly part of the guide, but you should have all confidants maxed by 12/8 anyway, so you can go ahead and farm him in flu season if desired.

Not needed unless you specifically want that gift. There's no trophy related to them or anything.

yea I just assumed that was their way of saying Yusuke,Ann, Ryuji and Morgana are pretty much the main pack and everyone else is a different tier.

I have done zero video games cuz the guide hasn't mentioned them at all. I'm currently in beginning of Oct. hopefully I'm not screwed. If all else fails, I'll load a backup save just for the trophy.

Now that I got the Temperance Max rank, I'm gonna just break the rules of when to do the Mementos in the guide and try to finish them up as soon as I get them.

there are a lot less games than books, and if you just want the trophy, save, spend every free moment playing games, reload the older save. I wouldnt worry about it though, you will probably be fine.

Yea, I'm gonna do the same thing for all the other activities. Just gonna save scum.

make sure with books you focus on the ones from Jinbocho, the final one there is the speed reading book, the library ones are also important to get through since
you lose access in december

Is there something I should know about Power Intuition 3? I can't do this it's too hard.
My fingers keep tripping up on the last imput ;_;

Do you have the book that makes games easier? For Power Intuition it gives you more time,. Other than that there's not much more you can do other than keep trying.

You can find it with other demons too.

Bugbear is "Bugs" for some bizarre reason. The lack of consistency is noticeable.

It does list "bugbear" as one of the names the creature is known as in the lore description tho.

(11/21)
I suspected it, but I wanted to think there was going to be other reasons, like something would happen, or he just wasn't available like everyone else. I just went along with it once he joined up. Damn shame, he felt like Naoto but useful. I liked that he had physical, almighty, curse, and bless.

That evil expression though, I love when they lay that on at JUST the right moment.

"Foolish woman..."

For me it was
When they asked for his reason to be a phantom thief and he says something that comes off as "ALL PEOPLE WHO DON'T HOLD MY IDEALS MUST BE ELIMINATED!"

Yea, finished the school library ones already. I didn't see the Jinbocho one for that yet. Only saw Master Swordsman for sale. I'll keep checking. I guess maybe the guide will mention it when it's available.

Yoshitsune breaks the game so bad that I have to do simple attacks with the MC to avoid killing bosses in two turns in NG+. How is he not ever the ultimate Tower Persona?

How much more difficult is P3?

I finished P5 on normal, it felt just hard enough. Decided to go back and play the earlier games. I'm a few hours into P3 on normal, but a friend is telling me that normal is very hard in comparison in that game.

I'm pretty unfamiliar with JRPGs.

You can only get the next Jinbocho book when you completed the one that is in stock. The salesman will comment that you finished it and offer another one for sale.

Complete Master Swordsman and then the next few books after that

You can add a lot of free time to the guide by using Fortune 1 and 7 efficiently and religiously. It doesn't use either. I'm mid way through November and have already beaten 2 games, read a few extra books, hit a home run , been fishing once and am a little ahead on about 3 confidants (hit the Mementos wall on the others). And that's worth having to have wasted a day doing a mostly dead Mementos quest to be able to see Kawakami's Hawaii scene.

You definitely have time to go flu hunting 1 day in December if you want.

You can also skip the gift scenes for the most part since the gifts don't carry over to a new cycle :)().

Cognitive World / SMT thematic stuff

I don't think there is a difference between gods and shadows or SMTs Schwartzwelt / Abyss and the Sea of Souls. These things are products of the collective unconscious on a multiversal scale.

The divine villains are largely broken because humanity is , that's a pretty consistent theme across both series whether it's YHVH, Inzanami, the Grail, Nyx, Ereberus, etc. They all do what they do because they perceive it as the desire of humanity.

So the Cognitive World doesn't do much get destroyed as return to the general collective unconsciousness, where it's much more difficult to access since the Demon Summoning Program doesn't seem to exist in the Persona timeline.

Oh!, Good, I'm reading that whenever I can. Only one more slot left. Thanks for letting me know.

P5 on Normal is a joke but I'd say P3 in its home console incarnations is slightly harder, on PSP it's a joke too. P4 vanilla is fairly easy and P4G is the easiest of them all.

If you got a hang of how buffs and debuffs work in P5 you shouldn't have any issues, other than getting used to changing tactics for the AI partners in P3 on home consoles (you don't control them yourself in those versions).

I say go for P3. All three games are great.

Okay thanks that explains a lot. I assumed it was because
he was a persona user.

It's not just the AI controlled partners that makes P3 harder though. In P3, down is treated as a status ailment that you can cure with an item. If you're downed you spend an entire turn getting back up. If you're attacked while downed, you become dizzy and can't get up again for another turn. Or was that second part in P4? Whatever the case, I wish they would bring that back. It applies to enemies as well. I guess it might break the game though since you can put the enemy in a constant state of getting back up.

MC is too stupid to read his books in his room. He has to read them everywhere else EXCEPT his room. Very dumb, imo.

Dizzy was P4 but it removed Down taking your turn, so it was more forgiving overall. They ported that back to P3P. P5 is even more so since you don't fall down if you miss.

The way Down worked in P3 meant that if you were solo due to your teammares whimping out, you'd end up in a cycle of Weakness -> Down -> Up -> Weakness -> ... -> Death is not a hunter unbeknownst to its prey.

Didn't even realize that Almighty boost/amp and Magic ability were in the game and exclusive to Network Fusion. Time to save scum in order to make the ultimate Thanatos Picaro.

You can get Almighty Boost from Messiah, if you're buying the DLC. You can also get Soul Chain from network fusion but it's mostly useless.

I finally beat it! All I really had to do was form a U on the controller.
I feel so silly wasting 2 hours when it was so easy...
