I know you are kidding but just stating, that is not the issue with that topic. The problem is the blatant, unabashed hatred that is being spewed from both sides to the other.
I don't care about it either way, and while I do use it on rare occasion, I won't miss it if its gone, but that is beside the point here.
It's not us you have to worry about.
That said any hopes of NeoGAF having a nuanced and self-reflective discussion is pretty much void.

Wat. I was referring to how high emotions get on GAF in regards to pretty much any social issue and how basically any conversation turns into a inflammatory and tautological shitfest.

They already censor cartoon tits and dialogue in Persona and I don't see anyone complaining about that

True. I don't make that blanket assumption (and I usually have an anime avatar myself), but you can look at some of the content on this very page and get why some people would.

All of the Kaneko art with nipples had them removed for the Persona art and, among other things, the stuff like Ken's SLink being less pervy.

With Mara, the only thing you can really do is remove him altogether, which would be a pain since you'd have to get someone to replace him in the English version which would probably use way to many resources.

Pretty sure Soul Hackers was unedited though (Devil Summoner PSP wasn't). But this is a Persona thread, so I specifically mentioned instances of ~Censorship~ in Persona.
