Midnight channel in 10 minutes!

In the end of the latest video, Margaret spoke.

It said マーガレット in the textbox when you see Elizabeth in the Velvet Room. This video also didn't talk about characters, but Shadows, Dark Hour, and what happens next.

It's just a recap of P3, and I guess they'll do a recap of P4 too, since this time it didn't say "To be continue..." it said "end"

So, no more P3 character recaps or plot recaps. Was the Margaret thing an error?

Atlus, why are you so confusing sometimes?

Weird considering we didn't see an Aigis recap.

I told everyone that these were stations. It seems the theory is getting clearer. We really are simulating the Investigation Team now. Atlus is clever sometimes when they troll us. It's interesting.

This whole thing is a reenactment of the opening of P4.

This is awesome.

It is interesting how this is pretty much exactly the Midnight Channel and that they're obviously giving out these hints so that the Investigation Team that is the internet can piece the mystery together.

Exactly. I mentioned in IRC that the first Midnight Channel is always fuzzy images, the second one is clearer images, and then the third is when the Shadow shows up to speak/introduce the dungeon. I'm hoping that the next midnight event follows suit.

Man I wish to be in Japan right now, this shaping to being awesome viral campaign.

Heh, well I'm sure you could be having viewing parties wherever you live anyways.

Though, I can imagine people crying with joy in Japanese streets, running and hugging each other and yelling once the reveal happens.

I imagine there will be big screen or something on there for the reveal if you go to those location at right time lol

It's one of the smartest reveals I've ever seen.

Not that I'd expect any less from the Persona Team, ho hum.

Gee, I recall a certain someone saying this in chat in regards to being a fanboy. It's a darn shame I don't save logs except for scrollback however!

Posting the theory I posted in the countdown thread here:

Going to double post since my post is basically buried. Here's a hint

Dotonbori is three minutes away from Namba Station in Osaka. It's a city that never sleeps, basically, and a huge tourist attraction. It's also near Minami, which is another district, and the Japanese word for "south"

The JR East Station is one of the biggest stations in all of Tokyo, and is very big around Shinjuku. In Shinjuku, it is known as one of the busiest train stations in the world to some, even going as far as being recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records.

The Sakae Station is located in the Naka ward of Nagoya and in the city of Aichi, and is a fairly nice station. I couldn't find much info about it, though...

The Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) station is another big station that is also home to a small shopping center of sorts.

The Sendai Station is known as the biggest station in Sendai, and is home to the Sendai Subway Namboku Line. It was affected in the 2011 Touhoku earthquake and tsunami. Not much more info I can find on it, sadly...

The Sapporo Chikagai, located near Odori, is home to an underground shopping center. I couldn't find much more information, but I did find that it is near some shopping centers such as Aurora City and Pole Town.

Now, to those who also speak Japanese, do you get it yet?

The answer is These are directions. North and south is Namboku in Japanese. North alone is Kita, and south alone is Minami. Combined is Namboku, which means north and south, Naka is middle, Chikagai is underground. Nishi is west. JR East is well, east. Dotonbori is near Minami, which means south. Chuo-ku, where Odori is, also means "center" Seeing something here?

Now, let's push this theory up to eleven. Shinjuku is the only place that is a ward within itself. Shinjuku is divided into 6 wards, each in different directions. What are the directions of these wards? North, south, east, west, with Shinjuku being the one in the center/middle. Shinjuku also has an underground district, I believe.

Good lord, well done. You have contributed a lot to solving tell puzzle so far. What you're saying makes sense, but what exactly could it mean?

Would be really interesting if the new Velvet Room was a train that also took you around to different places in a large city/Tokyo/somewhere based off Tokyo.

I'm not understanding your conclusion here. It's impressive, but what would any of this potentially mean?

You're a total genius, MD.

Thank you.

So, looks like the people in charge of the site do a good job of making silent edits.

Originally this: http://p-ch.jp/images/p_banar.png was titled http://p-ch.jp/images/p_banar3.png (which now leads to a 404)

Also, none of the edits to the site give a WHOIS change, so it still says Last Modified: September 20, 2013.

Good job, Atlus website staff!

I wonder if this is for Persona 5... I found that there is supposed to be another logo on the p-ch page.

<div class="logo-L"><img src="images/logo-L.png" /></div>
<div class="logo-R"></div>

This doesn't mean anything at first, but what this means is that "div class" is the description and name, and "img src" is the source of the file, which in this case is an image.

For the locations that jiggle, they use a script that is called JRumble, which makes the text jiggle, and you can then add a div class and img src to make the images appear to be like text, or appear interactive even though each thing is just an image.

What I'm saying is, at first, the source only displayed "osaka rumble" which would add a rumble effect to the image, which is titled osaka.png, but now it says "osaka rumble = osaka2" to change the image.

This means that we will see another logo soon, since everything else started out with a div class, but then got a "img src" or something similar.

This is very hard to explain, so what I'm saying might sound like ramblings. I'm sorry.

EDIT: Go to the inspect element menu of your browser for a better understanding. Every item on the page has a division class, which explains what each thing represents. The three boxes, are known as "banners" and the images are known as "chara", meaning the banners are for a character, in this case, Teddie.
There is a division class for another logo section. logo-L is the P-Studio and ATLUS logo, so what could logo-R (right) be? Arc System Works? Aniplex?

These last two posts come from the countdown thread, posted by me.

Posting the theory I posted in the countdown thread here:

I love this, but I'm with Dantis... I just can't figure out what it's supposed to indicate. Obviously something is happening with train stations, but is it a hint about P5, or a hint about the locations of the announcement or the announcement itself.

Or is it just about the HYPE TRAIN that has taken us all on its nonstop ride?

Still think P5 will be a multi city affair in some capacity...

It's the only real way to shake up the formula while also keeping it somewhat familiar.

Well, the directions can't just be a coincidence. I wonder what it means as well... It doesn't seem Persona related at all. There must be something I'm not looking at correctly, or maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing.

I am guessing that maybe there will be one main city and the rest will be dungeons. Trains will lead you through a dimension turning the cities into a shadow world that looks like those cities.

Or maybe the third Midnight Channel adds something else.

We need the third clue, but I think they're directions like Mystic has theorized and I think they point to a single location.

The final tease is at midnight JST, but the site doesn't go live until 8 and then there's that other event and hour and a half later. In theory you could figure out the location and actually go there in time to (I presume) see the announcement stream live and in person from wherever it's being broadcast.

It's funny, I mapped out the connections per the p-ch website, and when inverted it's almost the P-Studios logo, lol.

Another thing I came up with.

Alright, so we already know that we will most likely get three "Midnight Channel" teasers.

Teddie is the face of the Midnight Channel, and on P-ch, there are three banners with three Teddies, one in each banner.

The bottom also has the train stations locations, so I think it's safe to assume that Teddie is just being used as a mascot to thrown us off guard.

Tamanon, what do you mean?

Hm, well that's what I think most of us figured, but what do the train station locations have to do with it?

The train locations were shown on the two Midnight Channel teasers so far, put two and two together. There are three banners, and probably three teasers, with the third one being the final one tomorrow.

So what if this game is called Persona 5 but it's actually a sequel to 3/4?

Man I hope it's an entirely new cast and story still....
