Persona: All The Bondest!

$1.99 for a random character unlock, and only $0.99 for a random persona unlock!
note: unlocked characters do not come with a persona. Additional personas must be unlocked to allow the use of new characters in combat.

Honestly though, I'm keeping my expectations in check for TGS. I would be very excited if we got to see more of DAN or P5, but I'm not expecting anything too amazing.

Apparently one of Junpei's concept designs in P4U2 was of an air guitarist calling himself "J-P", dressed in an agent style akin to Mitsuru (via Famitsu interview). They also address how Mitsuru, Akihiko and Yukari's designs are unusual, but that they made it a point to not change their character.

The end of the interview gives a fairly strong indication that there might be a future sequel, with words that remind me of what Wada says at the end of the P4A art book.

Air...guitarist?

I'm really happy that they went with the design that they did, but I'm reeeeeeeeeally curious to see this "J-P" as well. Sounds like it would be a riot.

So I discovered that a Stella Deus art book exists, and subsequently ordered it, and it arrived yesterday.

It's pretty interesting in general, but one of the most interesting parts to me is that it contains a lot of Soejima's much rougher drawings, whereas the Persona art books generally just use his more polished stuff.

No pictures? Also, you should totally draw Adara.

SMT x FE is a good example as to why you don't announce a game to the public when it's just been greenlit.

The anime for Devil Survivor 2 was so terrible and badly received, it somehow killed the game it was made to promote.

I don't even know who that is. :X

Also, I dunno if we're allowed to post pictures of art books?

So, does anyone know what the Persona 5 Imaging Project is on Youtube? It has plenty of samples of what I'm assuming to be unfinished tracks for the game's OST.
EDIT: Wow, fanmade. Very impressive.

Anyway, I'm kinda hopeful that we'll see something Persona related next week. That PSC teaser has to mean something, right?

I mean Tokyo Game Show starts on the 18th, so yeah, we're gonna see something Persona related. We'll definitely be seeing new Dancing All Night material, and honestly can't imagine them not actually showing Persona 5 (like actual ingame shots not just animated cutscenes) since Sony already showed that teaser.

Not convinced they'll be showing much more of Persona 5 at TGS. I'm assuming anything Persona will be reserved to the Atlus stage show, since there is no indication of anything outside of it. That hour long presentation has been confirmed to feature EOIIU, so I'm guessing that's at least 30 mins. reserved for that game. The rest could be about P4D.

The news article introducing PSC episode 7 did make it seem like the stage show could be related to P5, though that could have also been a tease for its SCEJ conference trailer. If they were going to be showing much of P5, I feel that would warrant a larger presentation of its own like Sega is doing with some of its other games at TGS. Also feel that the PSC hosts wouldn't be the main people presenting that, unless they've gained just that much cachet.

She was singing a different tune during the Valentine's day event

I have to assume she figured that out pretty easily along with the other Persona 4 girls and they were just playing along,
because you know of Nanako Valentime gift. I have to assume that was somewhat the girl's doing in some fashion

I dunno, they're literally Atlus's spokespeople for the Persona series.

Them being the hosts (are they the hosts? I haven't really kept up with this stuff, to be honest) wouldn't disqualify the P-Studios Trinity from also being present and talking about the games.

Of course, a word of caution: I swore that the big event last November was going to reveal Persona 5, so I've been wrong about this sort of thing before!

Perhaps, but this would be the biggest thing that the hosts would show off by far, and I don't know if Atlus is ready to let them handle big unveils like that. Though, yes, them being the main hosts doesn't mean someone with a higher standing in the company couldn't also be there for presentation purposes, which might be the case with the EO segment itself.

They're the only two hosts listed on the Sega TGS event schedule (and they had said they would be there last month).

It's ok Flux, I'll keep faith for the both of us.

If I had to speculate on the stage show (and I will, because this is the Persona community thread and all we do here is speculate because we've had a half a decade to do so), I'd say that each of the big three upcoming titles (EOU2, DAN and P5) will get fifteen minutes each, with the last fifteen minutes devoted to banter and introducing guests to talk about the games and whatnot.

A tiny message about the stage show via Twitter:

いよいよ来週はTGS。アトラスはセガブースにて20日14:30より「アトラス新作情報ステージ」をお届けします。ニコ生でも放映されますのでぜひご覧ください SEGA TOKYO GAME SHOW 2014開催!

The show will streamed online via Niconico. Also, the show's name suggests that they will really show more than EOUII.

So I never got around to finishing the story mode for all characters in Arena and am trying to do that now and yesterday I really enjoyed that final scene in Aigis' ending and the way it ties things back to P3, specifically the fact that
Labry's memories are the reason Aigis is on that pier when you first meat her.
It's a nice touch.

When the teaser site for 2 Untold went live, all that was shown was a background and three orbs, each containing the characters "2," "D," and "X." When the official site for 2U went live, so did two separate sites corresponding to the other two characters. Supposedly these are all for different projects, but Atlus has kind of been vague about the relationship ever since the first trailer for the remake got uploaded.

I'm going to laugh (and probably be the only one cheering) if this somehow turns into the Etrian Odyssey Power Hour.
Then again, I was on board with Persona Q the moment I realized it was a reskinned Etrian game, and this was before we had any idea Persona 5 would be shown in November.

Now that you mention it, the "D" might correspond to that "Deviliser" trademark from last year. Considering that this year marks the company's 25th anniversary and that most people assume that Deviliser is going to be a MegaTen game, they might announce it next week. Was there any Atlus trademark that would fit "X"? I'm probably reading too much into it, though.

They're all Etrian-related. Still, I think they'd wait until after Persona 5 launches before they start hyping Devilizer.

I just looked up the extra sites, and right now each one (D, X) only has the giant tree you spend the entire game exploring from Etrian 2 in the background with different orbs floating around. I have no idea what they'll actually be, but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of them isn't even a game (possibly even an anime series).

Probably old news to most of the people in this thread, but I just got an unexpected laugh out of FES. Walked into the Velvet Room with mara equipped, Liz made a comment along the lines of 'well it's certainly very manly'.

Theo's comment in P3P when you play as FeMC is even better.

Edit: This FB post by Lotus Juice might be interesting:

To me, next months' PMB2014 is very crucial and important because if we can pull off a successful show with no band only DJ style, we can tour all around the world with just the 4 of us. Bringing the whole band is unrealistic and risky due to having no info on how each places react to PERSONA live. To be honest, it is easier to just have a DJ in terms of showcases abroad. However since I self educated my career through night clubs more than live houses, I believe there are things that I can differentiate between having full band and instrumentals. Pros and Cons to both factors and I have confidence in managing something with DJ style since I consider myself a specialist on that, having a great DJ style in a club show. That is why the set list of the show will basically go according to my idea this time around.

btw of course there are creative differences amongst the 4 of us, but ever since we got together we have, sort of say, CONSOLIDATED our chemistry through understanding each other and maintaining great friendships more than just business. So hopefully in the near future, since Atlus Group are not so interested in doing shows abroad, I can have enough confidence and power to propose a plan such as Lotus Juice presentation Persona Live in where ever abroad and make it a success to all of us. Wish me luck guys! I'm always working my ass off Japanese workaholic shizzle lol

and if there are any countries any sponsors whose interested hit me up!

Tl; dr: There might be Persona concerts outside of Japan in the future if Persona Music Box is a success.

The things I think they could show during that stage show other than EOIIU are: P4D, P5, DSII:BR, SMTxFE, Devilizer and Asraga Adventure Chronicle.

What I think will be shown: EOIIU (~25 min) and P4D (~25 min), with 10 min of nonsense and other stuff.
