As someone who dreaded the idea of transforming into the persona, I'm pretty relieved.
So when are they going to fix this?
I think the chains are just aesthetic, like the scanline TV filter on the personas you summonsed in 4.I wonder if this means arsene would become more central this time, seeing that the MC is seemingly chained by it. Maybe they can adopt a sub persona system like Q?
Or maybe the chains are just aesthetic.

I'm not convinced Arsene is even chained to the MC in that shot. You can see the chain go past his arm, and you can see another chain below it, not attached to anything. I think it's more asthetic than anything.
That said, chains, and breaking them, will certainly be important to persona summoning.
The art of Arsene doesn't have any chains though, so they're probably tied to Phantom summoning him
Noticed that one of the screenshots showed the classroom from the same angle again, but this time at a with the date in the corner being April 15th. So, either the date in the trailer really was a placeholder or throwing chalk at the MC is the way teachers get his attention in this game.
If so, that could mean sudden trivia questions and social stats again!
Actually, the most important screenshot, to me, is the one with the MC jumping in the moonlight.
Where in Tokyo can you even find a castle or any structure that looks like that? If you ask me, that screenshot isn't of the "real world". It looks like the roof of either a castle or a prison.

Hell, there's even red flags with what appears to be a goat-horned demon skull on them. It's an other-worldly place.
Yes, I think those chains will appear for any summon, however I don't think they're *attached* to the MC. It's a tough call. We'll have to see. Either way, the chains are an important asthetic. You even see them when Arsene flies upwards in the trailer.
How's the P4 anime (for someone who's played P4G)? Was browsing Hulu today and noticed it was there.
One of the twitter accounts said that was a dungeon.
The other interesting part of that is that all four party members are present, but you can only see MC, same goes for the dungeon screens from the part in the trailer, so I guess it's MC only in dungeons this time.
P4D has resurfaced! I knew that game still existed.

No mention of touch controls. You think this means PSTV compatibility is assured?
So, what are some of your hopes and expectations for Arsene?
I hope they make him into a special Persona. IE, it has a full skillset, and it levels up at a rate comparable to your party member's Persona (maybe slightly slower). That way, you don't have to abandon it when it falls out of favor. I'm aware of the argument that they want the player to constantly swap between Personas, but you can still do that while managing to keep a central Persona. Both Persona 2 and Persona 4 Golden allow you to do that, after all.
For all we know the reason could be because Yu calls the team there as he receives the SOS from Rise.Does that contradict the original story synopsis? Where the investigation team are responding to an SOS from Rise.
I suppose there isn't enough info to tell yet.
I've been leveling up Izanagi only on my second playthrough of P4G. Its definitely less of a hassle than the conventional method updating your personas but...I find it a bit boring. I only cycle through 3 Personas: Izanagi, a Persona that knows Power Charge and a healing persona for emergencies. The rest of my slots are dedicated to social links, or picking up a new persona from shuffle time for the sake of completing the compendium.
I would like it to be like P4G where you could make any persona strong, so it comes to which persona you prefer. Or if it's something like you're suggesting, for there to be a drawback. Like if you choose to level up Arsene without fusing new persona of a comparable level, you lose the ability to carry new Persona. Perhaps leveling up one persona is more efficient for battles but lacking the ability to carry multiple means you don't progress in social links as fast. So a player has to choose between spreading themselves thin or putting all their eggs in one basket.
It'd be nice if they made a control system that could be controlled either wayI didn't like the touch screen stuff in Project Diva f and I hope that's not in P4D, but I doubt there won't be something involving touch.

Yeah chie's art is... well they can't all be good :/
You're right, all the others are good.
Chie's is GREAT!
The fixed on screen prompts for DAN look really weird, I'm sure I'll get used to it but right now I'm not a fan.
The magazine scans confirm that the trailer and the screenshots are from the PS3 version, if anyone is interested.
Oh, really? That's cool; haven't seen anyone mention that yet.
Heh, maybe I'll get used to it.
Fixed prompts are way better than random ones that have no real reason for their placement. These also seem far less obstructive to the characters.
Also, touch screen controls were the worst part of vita Diva f, so hopefully the rhythm part of DAN ditches them (I expect them in other parts of the game... Whatever they may be)
