There's a lot of things to be excited for in P5, but personally I can't wait to sit in the fusion menu for a half an hour and forget that I'm listening to Poem for Everyone's Souls on loop until the lady sings that one really really high note and I realize that it's 2 AM and I've been fusing personas for a half an hour.

That's the real Persona Experience™.

Haha, yup. I'm looking forward to that moment when you initiate an all-out attack (or equivalent) right when the battle music hits the best part. So satisfying.

I'm looking forward to my active attention completely forgetting that I have a life outside what I'm playing, and simply existing inside the game for several hour blocks at a time. I find only a few other series can pull that up for me as deeply as MegaTen.

I didn't see this before since I mainly rely on the search function for direct replies. Some of the concept art has been posted on the Persona Central Twitter account. There aren't really any beta designs other than for the costumes.

It has a 4-page developer interview, and another 5-page interview with about the dancers and the choreography.

"Aria of the Soul" has been the translation of "全ての人の魂の詩" that Atlus USA has used. I personally prefer "The Poem of Everyone's Soul" because it better fits the meaning of the Velvet Room tho. :S

So, in P3,
my party was Aigis,Mitsuru and Akihikos. I just got Koro and swapped him with Mitsuru. Mitsuru seemed to heal alot (if she wasn't using fucking Marin Karin. Koro can replace my Pyro Jack, so I kinda wanna keep him. I have a couple personas that have decent zio skills so I could possibly replace Akihiko.

So, should I ditch. Akihiko, Mitsuru or Koro

Also, I need a good Fire persona. I am mid third block and level 32.

Same situation. "Battle Hymn of the Soul" is Atlus USA's translation, where as "The Battle for Everyone's Souls" is the more common translation. Neither is really inaccurate, just depends on how the translator interpreted it.

For some reason i prefer the short ones : Battle Hymn of the soul , Aria of the Soul ...

Plus "Battle Hymn of the soul" is like a hymn to me so ... it fits very well in my case XD.

Just a guess. They might not go silent at all, we might start getting occasional famitsu features or something like that. There's a Persona Magazine due early next year, or at least I think it was, so they'll probably have something else before that point.

edit: actually, the P-Magazine is due later this year, which is odd in light of the delay. I'd assume that it will coincide with something though, or it might just end up delayed too.

For PQ, P4AU and P4D they started the advertising campaign roughly 4 - 5 months before the actual release.

PQ - > first trailer of the campaign on 2013/12/27, released on 2014/06/05 (5 months)
P4AU -> first trailer of the campaign on 2014/04/24, released on 2014/08/28 (4 months)
P4D -> first trailer of the campaign on 2015/02/05, released on 2014/06/25 (5 months)


So for P5 it should start some time between February and April next year. Although we should know the exact release date by then.

I'm very interested in hearing some story impressions. Playing my import copy convinced me that everything else in the game is fantastic so I'm looking forward to hearing if the story matches everything else.

Yeah, it's him. He wears a Japanese style fox mask and has a fox tail He's the fourth person we couldn't identify in the beginning of the 1st trailer.

On said character:
I've been thinking about him and I think his arc is going to have to do with the painting mentor he lives with. I have a feeling that all of the dungeons are based on the seven sins, and the sin of pride will most likely refer to Yusuke's mentor, who holds Yusuke back by either berating him or even stealing his art for his own. The dungeon to steal his mentor's heart is clearly the art gallery we see the gang sneaking into in the last trailer, and that's when they'll be going in and out of paintings. It also holds up because in that trailer you see Yusuke taking off his mask for what appears to be the first time, and it's in that gallery with a japanese style print on the walls. I also imagine that this is the third dungeon, with Ryuji's issues being the first dungeon (I'm thinking casino) and Anne's (The castle with the weird demon boss) being the second. The dungeons aren't based on the party members ala P4, but rather the people who are causing them issues.

. But regarding the
seven sins
that you mentioned. Do you think it means that we are gonna have
seven party members besides protagonist and each of their dungeons will represent one of the sins that we have to cleanse?

No, I don't think all dungeons will specifically relate to a party member. I mean, it could happen, but it just doesn't have to. Even P4 had a dungeon or two that didn't connect to a party member.

Also, one of the most overlooked comments in the trailer, which could change depending on how accurate the translation was, is the part where we hear someone saying
"With this kind of power, we can finally get that key!"
This could be referring something as simple as a dungeon item, but then why put it in the trailer? That could be MC's overarching goal:
to find that key. Maybe his heart was stolen and locked away? We were told there was some problem he was in that he'd have to solve.

EDIT: Yeesh, I'm really going to have to turn this shit off for a while.

I wouldn't ditch Mitsuru, she can heal and her bufudyne attack is one of the strongest in the game. She does a lot of damage. I normally use Akihiko and Mitsuru both in my party, but if you really want to use Koro, I'd swap with Akihiko if Aigis isn't an option (somehow I never use her lol).

I'm surprised the mods haven't change the subtitle of the community thread yet.

For P3 I stuck with the core party of MC, Mitsuru, Yukari and...Akihiko I think? Of course..didn't fight the final boss till I managed to grind everyone to max level...

I played as FeMC and took mitsuru, yukari, and Aigis. I'm not really sure what I'm getting at, but just figured you should know

Ken is the only P3 guy
I didn't hook up with. Just felt weird. Cheated on Shinji a bunch cus he was in a coma and I needed the D, but Ken is just a kid yo. That's creepy.

I always went with Yukari, Akihiko and Mitsuru in the main game. Seemed like a pretty balanced party and didn't have much trouble.

For FES though, my party changed quite a bit since there's a setup that covers everything:

Metis - Strike, Garu, Bufu
Koromaru - Slash, Agi, Mudo
Ken - Pierce, Zio, Hama, Media

That party worked really well.
