I honestly thought Mitsuru and Yukari or at least Mitsuru for Yukari seemed more shippy than Chie and Yukiko myself. The latter's more 'I was able to be stronger/more confident because you were with me' which is common in close friendships while the former was 'I promised I'd put you above all others in this position.'

I seem to recall there being a big debate about that a while back, I think we decided that it was a barstool though.

Tangentially related: but interesting that the coffee shop isn't actually where the group meet to enter the Palace, since we've seen a different location with that option.


Best guess about the thing in the hallway is a phone, although it might not be. Someone with the bluray could check to see if it's any easier to make out.

It helps that Yukari starts out being hostile towards Mitsuru and then she eventually stops blaming her family for killing her dad and they start getting along.
Yukiko and Chie were already BFF's from the time you met them, albeit BFF's that may not have had the healthiest of relationships.

Would make sense. They're also supposed to reform, right? Could be switching roles that does it. Could even do both at the same time.

Case in point: straight-laced Yukari being into incestuous fanfiction is goddamn hilarious. Naoto's fascination with robotics (whenever it pops up from time to time) is also another good example.

Persona Q stumbles a few times when it comes to characterization, but it absolutely nails character interaction. It definitely deserves props for the way it handles both casts slowing become closer.

Let me see... Time intervals between announcements and releases:

• EO2U = 114 days
• EMD = 101 days
• GIR #FE = 269 days [Nintendo]
• OSL = 178 days
• SMTIV F = 128 days

Excluding the Nintendo published one, that's an average of ~130 days.

If we assume the most optimistic possibility of Persona 5 releasing on June 23, 2016, that leaves us with 261 days between now and then.

If we give them until the end of December to announce something new before they start pumping out games (and not Atlus Best Collection releases) in 2016—starting with Odin Sphere—and if we give P5 a 1-month buffer with a max. end point of May 23, 2016, that's 144 days.

I guess I'll call it now and say with a lot of confidence that, once more, there will in fact be a brand new Atlus game announced and released before Persona 5.

P Studio is busy with Persona 5, Team Maniax is busy with Shin Megami Tensei IV Final and Etrian Odyssey team is busy with Etrian Odyssey V. The Devil Survivor team's director is busy with that #FE thing. If there is to be a new game, I think it would have to be a studio collab. project like EMD and P4A, or it would have to be some kind of remake.
