Yeah it takes ages. I left it to update overnight.
It's not in the OP but this PSO2 tweaker program is amazing, it will download the updates (English patch and story patch) for you with a couple of clicks. Maybe it could be added to the op.

Sucks that Sega delayed the English version, but I think I'll jump back in now that all this new stuff and English story patch is available. I stopped playing since I figured I would just get the localized version, but that might not be happening anytime soon the way things are going.

Played a bit of the Japan release with the English patch, I just can't get into it when I played PSU on the Xbox 360 for years & years. So I'm just going to wait & see what they do with this game.

Translating the game shouldn't take this long.

Seriously, by know everyone who's even remotely interested in PSO2 should have downloaded the Japanese version. Especially with a software for installing the English patches available.

I guess youre right I just dont feel like jumping thru hoops to play this. I might just have to try and do it. Seems like Sega doesn't really intend to release this overseas...

I tried to get on the boat but I keep failing the captcha! I have tried several tutorials to try and translate the characters but I always make mistakes or I am too slow. ;_;

You should try the Chrome extension linked in the op. From what dr said, it's useful during the registration.

Yeah that was the hardest part for me, but the extension makes it fairly simple. Or you could post the Captcha here, I'm sure someone could help.

I bit the bullet and deleted everything off my 32gb card in order to play the digital version.

It wasn't worth it.

Not only is the framerate pretty bad at parts, but i cannot deal with the lack of english translation in menus. Perhaps once I am more familiar with the game it wont be an issue.. but i accidentally deleted my only friend in PSO2 lol.

If it were in english it would be okay imo, but i MUCH prefer playing on PC.

They just started offering preloads of the episode 2 patch starting today though, so you don't have to download the whole 5+GB at once in two weeks. You'll get an offer to download the first piece of the preload if you start the launcher now.

no, as your analogy doesn't give you a real comparison. How much faster? A little bit? Moderately or way faster?

I would assume mine gave a better comparison as one is WAY faster than the other.

Just did a quick search and the only thing I could find was that some programs that display FPS can cause this error. Haven't had a problem with fraps, but apparently gigabytes software can stuff it up.

As a Vita player, I haven't had any problems. Of course a souped up PC will wipe the floor off the Vita version, but since the Vita is the only way for me to play atm, it works well! Lack of English isn't a problem with all the documentation online. Although it helps to have a bit of knowledge of hiragana and katakana for some things.
