Pick two companies to collab on a sequel.

SNK Playmore and Capcom -> SNK vs Capcom 2

So it would be the kind of improvement KoF XIII was over KoF XII.

IO Interactive and Electronic Arts

Freedom Fighters 2

I know it's not quite possible, since IO is owned by Squeenix, but man... Freedom Fighters 2 by the original devs, built on Frostbite? Fuck me sideways, that'd be glorious.

I'm not very good at this envision so bare with me. :P

Retro Studios x Bungie = Metroid

Retro Studios x Capcom = Megaman

Mist Walker x Namco = Baten Kaitos 3

Retro Studios x Nintendo x Monolith Soft x Mist Walker x Bethesda = Zelda
j/k!

Capcom x Naughty Dog = Resident Evil 7

One of the main problems with modern Resident Evil is that it's becoming too similar to Uncharted with linear paths, shoot outs, and set pieces.

So no. Just no. The last thing it needs are those stupid environmental puzzles from The Last of Us.

Sucker Punch + Cyber Connect = Shingeki No Kyojin Game

hnngggg

(Square x Level 5) + Studio Ghibli
= Dragon Quest on nextgen

The Dragon Quest storytelling format simply would not work at all if collaborated with Ghibli, or else, were you talking about them doing the art style only?

The Toriyama art runs so deep in the series it would be stupid to change it.

Just have them make an original game.

Kojima Productions and Platinum Games for
Zone of the Enders 3

also, i think its safe to say any japanese company + platinum games = better sequel

iD (old iD that made great engines, carmack etc) and Splash damage (enemy territory series) collaborate on a fast paced, skill based movement, lots of verticality, shooter. iD makes the single player and collabs with SD primarily focusing on MP.

Nintendo X Sega= Pulseman Reboot

Sega X Treasure= Alien Soldier Reboot

Sega X Treasure= New Gunstar Heroes

Sega X Tri-Ace= Resonance of Fate 2

Nintendo X Mystwalker= The Last Story 2

Capcom X Capcom = Lost Planet 3.

Platinum (Minami led) x Nintendo = Star Fox

Konami X Feel Good = [IGA]Castlevania (dem sprites)

SNK-Playmore x Feel Good = Metal Slug

Monolith X Nintendo= Baten Kaitos 2(3)

FromSoftware X Nintendo = Lost Kingdoms 3

Cing (the former employees) X Nintendo =Fully 3D Console Kyle Hyde game in the art style of Hotel Dusk and Last Window

tri-Ace x tri-Crescendo on Valkyrie Profile 3

Although that's cheating since they worked together on VP2.

So I'll choose Monolith Soft x tri-Ace. tri-Ace can do all of the gameplay and Monolith Soft can do the rest. Xenoblade 2?

Anything goes. Dead franchise and dead companies allowed. If you want Double Helix and Ninja Theory to work on a Brave Fencer Musashi RTS, go for it.

I want a Retro / Rare collab on a console-based Metroid arena FPS title in the vein of Quake.
You mean Crytek UK / Retro collab, yes? All the FPS talent from Rare formed Free Radical Design (Timesplitters), which went on to form Crytek UK.

Capcom+Platinum Games= Devil May Cry 5
Given that Platinum made DMC, this would be interesting. But having said that, a Platinum/Itagaki-led Team Ninja would be infinitely more interesting (especially from a news headline point of view).

Personally, I want Treasure/Iuchi to team up with Konami, Cave and Squaresoft to make the god of all old school shmups.

Iuchi is a shmup legend. Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga, Gradius V.
Squaresoft gave us Einhander.
Konami gave us Gradius as well as Axelay.

Iuchi teaming up with any of them would be a dream come true.
