I'm not saying a country should always have the same culture, culture is always evolving.
What I was trying to say is that a country should never forget its heritage and history but still be open to new things, Brazil and Germany are a great example. How many canadians know the very basics of french?

Le probleme avec le francais est que c'est une langue limitee. You can speak it in France, Quebec, Africa, Haitii and that's about it. People from Canada are too lazy to learn French because they dont care about it, and people from Quebec are too lazy to learn English because they dont care about it. I always hear "We are in Quebec, I dont have to learn english!". Also, Canada is so great because of its lack of "culture". We are French, British, Irish, Native. America have the pleasure of being new and a mix of everything else while the rest of the world have thousands of year of culture and traditions.
Canada and the USA can adapt to new things while other countries have problems because people do not like change. They want to keep that big old tower that was there for 500 years and didnt do anything at all except being weird.
We have to learn history, yes. Learn about Duplessis, learn about the war between French and English, the lack of respect french people got, the two houses of Canada. But we should not fixate on history and forget to move forward.

That's the problem I currently have with Pauline Marois. She want to separate the French and the English simply for being French and English. She didnt learn to speak english, so she want to have a French Country. Quebec is different than the rest of Canada, and we might have to cut each other in the middle, because Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are really different from everything else in Canada.

TLDR; I dont like the law 101 and I think we should embrace the fact that we have many cultures.

I remember seeing a canadian TV host seriously pissed because there was a strike and students blocked a bridge. It was funny.

Blocking a bridge in Montreal is like setting a fire to a baby. Really. The infrastructure of Montreal is so bad that I think we have the highest concentration of orange cone in the world. So many road are blocked that when students block an another one... people just break.
That or when our Hockey team win the first round of elimination.
Notice how even riots censor the word Fuck in Canada.

Is it social pressure or the society that make them put eye enhancement make up?
For reference, an american porn star without make up.

There is a difference, but it does not seem as extreme as the Japanese make up.

Haha so true.

During my IT class I had a Visual basic class. Loved it mostly because of that. I had to make a Student Card number Decoder where by entering the number on the student card I could get the age of the person and his initials. It was easy until you had to think about stuff like "What if I decide to input 000000000. Or what if I decide to put jkabdbabvhdj, or what if I decide to put DESJJ12313 What if he's born the 29th of February? What if. What if." You would say to the teacher "I'm done" and he would enter something and BAM crash. Then he would laugh and go back to his desk.
I really want to take programming at the university. I really should. I have a lot of time on my hand right now too.

If you like it you totally should. I do that for a living and the challenges are super interesting.

Canada is the perfect example of how globalisation and neoliberalism can take the culture out of a country.

I love how upset crazy people from America get when someone says something good about their own country. Crazy people... how many years have you spent living in Canada?

Saskatoon police mourn homeless drunk they considered a friend
http://www.edmontonjournal.com/Sask...unk+they+considered+friend/8366841/story.html
Saskatoon police officers are still talking about his death, even though they considered it an inevitable fate. It's believed Cote had been arrested more times for public drunkenness than anyone else in the city's history. Some officers put the tally at close to 1,000.

Chesney says he and many other officers looked out for Cote. They checked on him at night and made sure he had enough to eat. Sometimes, when Cote was hanging out on his usual bench in the public lobby of the police station, officers changing shifts would hand him their lunches as they walked by.

One time, when Cote was in detention on his birthday, staff rummaged up a cupcake and stuck a candle on top. "They actually had everybody on key and everybody else in cells sang Happy Birthday. He blew the candle out through the bars."

Silly Canadians, that's not how cops should treat the homeless. Kindness is only for taxpayers and legals.

That'd be the manliest national sport of all time. I'd support it. As an American, Canada seems like us, but healthier, friendlier, cleaner, and with less guns. So, nothing like America, I guess. But awesome nonetheless. I'd like to move there.

The Canada collage is totally missing Bret Hart, though.
