I wouldn't worry about calibrating the P series for now. Out of the box the color accuracy is exceptionally good (see RTings' review). Not only that, the ISF Calibration community hasn't quite gotten to a consensus on how to calibrate for HDR, from what I understand. For now, just enjoy the TV, knowing that you're already getting an extremely accurate picture already.P65-C1 is amazing. I love this TV.
Anybody know what website I can go to, in order to calibrate this monitor?
I went from a Kuro Elite Pro-111fd, which still amazes me to this day. So, when I say the P65 is jaw-dropping, take my personal opinion right alongside that previous statement.gah these damn threads making me want to get one of these new vizio p-series
my kuro 5020 still holding up alright but even isf-day on this set isn't that great for day-time viewing with sunlight

They also posted this tidbit with the same pic on their FB page.
That's only a 60Hz TV. Go with at least a 8000 if you want a samsung.
Source?
I thought all 4K TV's can only hit 4K @ 60Hz? Are you referring to 1080p @ 120Hz?
I cant seem to find a good comparison chart on the new Sammy's. All the new 4K Sony TV's seem to have input lag in the 35-45ms range.
Admittedly I'm not up to date on the latest TV tech.
For the first time in my nearly 20 years of being an A/V nut I'm going to spring for an Oppo. Granted the competition in the UHD-Blu market is non-existent, but the Oppo seems it will tick off every box to keep it future-proof (for now). I still have a hard time swallowing a $400-$500 price tag for an UHD-Blu player, though.
I'm personally waiting for the PS4k for my UHD Blu Ray playback.

What is your spending limit and max size you're looking at? And TV usage? I can't speak for the E series, but we might be able to steer you towards something that's in the right ballpark.Any opinions on the Vizio E60U-D3? Looking to upgrade to a 4K, Vizio seems to hit the sweet spot for size/price, was eyeing this TV at Costco today. I know the refreshed M series is coming with HDR, but I doubt the family is going to have any need for that. Only problem is that I can't seem to find a whole lot of impressions for this model since it seems fairly new.
Looking to get a 55-60" around that 800-900 price. Potentially a little higher, but adding a comma to the price isn't too favorable. Doesn't seem to be a lot of options outside of Vizio, which I'm okay with given the generally favorable things said about their recent sets. Aside from the refreshed HDR of the M series, the one thing that it seems to have over the E is the increased amount of LED zones, but to be honest, while I like a good looking TV and know a bit in terms of the tech, I'm not sure if I'd even notice something like that in everyday use. What is your spending limit and max size you're looking at? He probably means it's a 60Hz panel, so can only do 60Hz in any resolution.

I don't understand this.. Why does this TV say 120hz if it's not?
They always show the Motion Interpolation rate. Native or effective rate is usually half of what they advertise.
Ok.... But apparently it still has 4:4:4 pull down? That's possible right? Ugh
No, its chroma 4:4:4 is actually 4:2:2, not sure if it's a bug or just a design flaw with the P-series. It will report 4:4:4 but it will not display it to the screen correctly as reported by various reviews and users across the web (who have submitted photo proof), and you'll get blurry subsampling. Annoying, since it's a great set otherwise.
Only the 65" or above of the P series has 120hz native, and only on 1080p. The 50" does only have 120hz motion interpolation.

Geez, the 50" and 55" have officially pissed me off. I just want the best set, for the lowest price... Guess I'm going with the 65" then?
Or are you saying the 65" and above don't have 4:4:4 at 4K?
This stuff is such a headache for me. Sorry for all the questions everyone

Can you show proof that the 55" isn't 120hz native? That's not what I've understood.
All P-series regardless of size have the 4:4:4->4:2:2 bug as far as I know. I don't know if they're going to fix it with a firmware update or if that's possible. It's not the end of the world unless you're using it for a dedicated PC monitor thought.
Yes, the 65" is technically the best 'feature complete' P-series, since it has all the features and the VA panel if you care about black levels/contrast. However, at $1999, may as well just spend a bit more and get an LG OLED at that point. That's where I got stuck and gave up on the P-series. I looked at Samsungs KS8000 and it's a very good set, but has panel lottery with bad blacklight bleeding since it's edge lit.
My bad. I got confused because the difference with that one is the IPS panel. It is 120hz. I'll edit that so it's not confusing for others.
Where can i go to see an LG OLED65E6P in person? Would best buy have them on display? $6k is a lot to spend on reviews alone without first seeing it in person. The 55" model would be ok too
What is the 4:4:4 bug you speak of? From AVSForum's P-Series Owner's Thread:All P-series regardless of size have the 4:4:4->4:2:2 bug as far as I know. HDMI 1-4 on the P series can accept 4k/60 4:4:4 8 bit signals with HDMI subsampling enabled.
I'm about to purchase the LG 55EG9100 soon. I just don't know if I want to commit to 4K right now. I'm going to be moving in 3 years and I know I will want a bigger and nicer TV then. But there just doesn't seem to be enough 4K content to justify the price of the high end sets at this point. Anyone have any advice or suggestions? Anyone own the LG 55 I mentioned earlier and can talk about it? I really just want OLED for primarily movies (all kinds) and for my PS. 4K and HDR are not nearly adopted enough I feel. Would I be missing out?

The EG9100 looks great. However I do recommend that you see it in a store first. I personally found the pixel pitch to be too large for my taste, which is different from a LCD size TV with the same size/resolution.

I'm on the fence as well. Assuming i don't go 4k, what's the best tv for under $4000? Input lag doesn't matter as it won't be my primary gaming tv. Movies and streaming primarily

Samsung KS9000

OLED+4K+HDR for that price? Sure, wait for reviews just to be safe, but you should be ok with that TVWelp. LG 55B6 at $2,999 was the highest end of me biting. Might wait on reviews first. But knowing I could just roll out and get one is super tempting.

Samsung KS9000
If i do go 4k I'm leaning towards the LG OLED55E6P. Was looking for an alternative in case I don't. But since you mentioned the samsung, why do you like it better than the lg?
Oh wow the price is out? I thought it was gonna start out at $4000
I'm not 100% sure about this but input lag should be 34ms on the entire 2016 line up (doesn't make particular sense for them to change electronics between these models), which is pretty good. My EG9100 has around 39 and i never noticed any lag in games.Welp. LG 55B6 at $2,999 was the highest end of me biting. Might wait on reviews first. EDIT
Yeah, all that. Aside from some of my far-flung dreams like freesync, this TV checks all my boxes. The panels are supposedly the same, or damn near close, to the other 2016 panels, so here's hoping input lag is as well.
Got my 55" B6 OLED on Wednesday which replaces my EF950 OLED from last year.
Impressions after a few days:
- The input lag is significantly reduced compared to the EF950. Everything feels great to play whereas things felt a little 'heavy' on the EF950. Ratchet in particular feels a ton better with camera movements.
- Games look phenomenal on this set. Phenomenal. There's no words to describe just how incredible Ratchet looks on this thing. Same goes for everything you throw at this set.
- Uniformity is hugely improved compared to the EF950. In fact I don't see any banding whatsoever on actual content. There is no vignetting whatsoever and there are only very, very faint vertical bands at around 4% greyscale and below on test slides. I'm yet to see these on any real life content, and yet the bands would rear their ugly heads often on the EF950. No yellow banding or tinting at all on a white screen either. Massive improvement.
- Near-blacks are handled beautifully. It's clear that they've fixed the near-black gradation issues of last year's OLEDs and everything looks spot-on.
- I've not got a fast enough connection for Dolby Vision on Netflix yet - I'm getting a connection upgrade next month though so will finally have 60mbps. But I've tried some HDR10 test clips including the Life of Pi clip with the candles and they look genuinely jaw-dropping on this set. Even more so in the dark - blacks are completely and utterly black and whites are totally white. The dynamic range is unbelievable.
This is the best TV I've ever owned by miles and miles. I've had Panny plasmas including the VT65 (VT60 in US). I've had Samsung LEDs. I've had the 930V 1080p OLED and the EF950 before this. It blows all their socks off and then some. If you have the money, get this TV - or the C6, E6 or G6. As a fussy videophile, this thing is the stuff of my dreams. I know this post reads like hyperbole but make no mistake, it's really that good
EDIT: I should also say they've fixed the motion issues with 24p content - last year's OLEDs had an occasional stutter on fast pans in 24p content and it was infuriating to say the least. Completely fixed this year. 24p content on Netflix is stunning too and motion is perfect
I'm over the moon. I've waited years for a TV like this and finally LG has got it right.
Are there any differences between the B6 and E6 other than 3D support?
Soundbar and a different design, but supposedly the panels are the same. I haven't seen any full breakdowns though since the B and C are recently released.
Saw the LG OLED55E6P in store today. I couldn't find an HBO GO app. Did I just miss it, or does it really not have one?
