Looks great. I played the first campaign mission again on Pro, then went back to the PS4 version, which looks ace and you think, well the improvement is not that great, but then you go to Pro and it just clearly looks nicer and more high res. Same with IW, you want a more high-end visual experience? You got it.
Very happy so far after two days of playing Pro games.

Trying out First Light now and it's awesome. Everything is so clean now which is what I was looking forward to. I'm impressed at just how much extra detail is noticeable as well though which is a pleasant surprise.

It even has a pretty good 60fps mode. It's great to have a choice, 60fps or insane IQ.

Well I can't use Ethernet transfer as I don't have a pro yet, I am trading in my PS4 for it so had to make a backup in HDD first.
Had about 1.6TB worth of games, deleted everything I don't play right now and got it down to 500GB. Should take about 3-4 hours now. Just enough time for me to make a run to the store for a PS Pro.

Hey! Dawg had that issue. Try to delete the game and not install the patches when you're on disk and see if the problem is still there.
To answer your question, with everything patched, FF14 is currently 46.42GB.

I backed up just over 340GB which took just over 2 hours last night and it's predicting 85 minutes to restore on the Pro from a USB3 external HDD.

So pardon my confusion but 4k and HDR are two different things, so which games support 4k and which support hdr or am I completely lost here lol

So I've backed everything up to an external. Before transferring to the pro, what do I do in terms of activation/deactivation between the old and new unit?
Is it just the PSN accounts (of which there are two)?

Just two more hours until I pick up my Pro. Now I just hope BB will price-match Target's early BF deal on BF1 for $35 that expires today. If not I guess I'm gonna have to make a run to Target as well. Can't wait to check out BF1 and ROTTR on the Pro!

I have a Gigabit LAN. I am transfering 755GB and it says 4 hours left.
Network transfer is awesome so far! It transfers Both accounts and automatically deactivates the old one and makes the new one primary.

Just deactivate the accounts. If you're swapping HDDs, download the full firmware update to a stick.

Sorry to say but you're completely lost bud. There are threads on this for patches to old games so I'm not even gonna get into that but all games going forward will support 4K. When it comes to HDR, I would think most games will support it but I'm not totally sure on that.

Excellent, thanks! That's not quite as bad as I had imagined. Still not great, but it's low enough that I'm not deterred from possible resub once... things... slow.... yep things aren't going to slow down until like April for me.
Yup, I think it looks fantastic. I only played new missions but no longer encountered the kinda-frequent dips into the high-40's, low-50s that seems to be kinda standard in COD games nowadays. I think a better test would be to go back and replay a mission rather than having played 3-4 missions I never played before, but I did really think it looked clean, played smooth, and if anyone has been kinda wondering, Infinite Warfare in general has a pretty cool and fun campaign! I actually am having fun playing through it, though I would not even dare suggest it belongs next to Doom and Titanfall 2 this year. It's good, but not amazing.

Ya this is important. You need the FULL firmware which is like a 800MB DL.
The regular update fw they want you to DL is only 300MB. And it is NO good for a brand new HDD setup.

One question regarding the usb ports. I changed the controller settings to communicate via USB. My controller randomly stopped charging and even lost connection multiple times. I used two brand new 3rd party usb->micro usb 2m cables (syncwire). May this be due to those or should I worry that my usb ports are damaged?

I got Battlefield 1 on PS4 for the first time earlier today, prior to having my Pro. I did not have my vanilla PS4 anymore when I got it, so putting it in my Pro is the first time I've ever played the PS4 version of BF1.
I played two rounds of 64 player conquest and I don't feel like I ever saw more than one framerate dip. Maybe Pro support was already baked in? I heard reports of BF4-style performance (which I'm very familiar with, as I spent 30ish hours with BF4 back during the PS4 launch), and I believe it -- the beta for BF1 wasn't all that impressive performance wise.
Been playing BF1 on PC with a locked 60fps and tonight's brief session was pretty comparable. I had one noticeable and relatively prolonged dip when a mixture of smoke and gas grenades littered the screen, but that was it. It's also worth noting that I immediately cranked FOV up to 90 (horizontal -- 74 vertical) in the menu, which probably adds a bit of stress to the pipeline.
Pretty smooth. I know someone was calling placebo on another user reporting similar circumstances, but that didn't seem bad at all...
Still hoping there's a patch dropping today with very specific support outlined... Unless I'm just incredibly late and missed it entirely.
Anyway, Rise of the Tomb Raider was awesome in 4K supersampled mode. Super smooth image quality. I'm currently waiting for Titanfall 2 to finish it's disc-based install so I can give it a go, then off to Ratchet, then maybe a few PSVR titles.
So far, so good, but really can't wait to see if Dishonored 2 hangs well tomorrow, and Watch Dogs 2 next week, and FFXV at the end of the month.
Do we know if Watch Dogs 2 has Pro enhancements at launch?

Yeah, it does. 1800p res is as much as we know. It was shown at the Pro announcement.
are the framerate and resolution on the vita improved over the standard PS4?
