My 64g card is coming this Sunday. How long does it take for backup and restore my full 16g card? PC or PS3? Is it faster if I just delete all my games and redownload them? I have all my saves in the cloud

Its a bit sad that the Vita never got a major Sonic game :l.

I know this is a random thought, considering we did get a solid port of Racing Transformed, but I would of loved a Colors port or Sonic CD HD port :(.

Its nice we can play Sonic 1 & 2 and Rivals 1 & 2 via PSP BC (Genesis Collection and Rivals series) but it would be nice if we got more Sonic games on Vita.

I say this now as the more I go back to the series, almost nothing at all came out on Vita :(. Hopeful that if the Anniversary game gets a handheld version, we get Vita port or something.

Random thought and considering how much stuff if on Vita already, its stupid to complain about this. But its odd that the system I really love has the least amount of games from the series that pushed me back into gaming again :l.

I only ever do backups on PC, I think 16 GB should take.. 20-30 minutes? Each direction.
Hope that's not completely off. It's not a huge hassle, just start it and do something else while it's copying

I remember spending a full hour or so backing up and putting stuff on my (at the time, winter 2013) 32GB Vita card.

It takes a while but doing something else in the mean time (watching a movie, playing a game, ect) helps the long wait :).

Its best to manually back up the games to your laptop/PC (NOT the restoring a backup) and then copying everything to the new memory card.

Anyone have a hard time getting in touch with NISA store support? I have an order in for the SOSC LE but lost my order info, so I emailed them. Followed up once but so far no response other than the automated shit.

Help me out please guys !
I just remembered an announced Japanese game and can't put a name on it. I think it was by NIS and the main character is a girl who wears red clothes, or at least partially red. Maybe a red hat too ?

Edit. Ok, it was surely Nights of Azure by... Gust and not NIS :-X

Don't do a full backup but copy the games manually (like 4 at a time, for example) so you lower the chance that something could go wrong.
You'll have to redownload the themes though.

Thanks for links to/impressions of necrodancer, folks. I'll pick it up next week I think.

It's a buck fifty off this week if you didn't know. Not a crazy amount of money but better to pick it up before Tuesday than after if you're sure you're buying it.

This is plus exclusive, I thought? I do not and will not have plus, so no real incentive for me to buy early.

You're right. I was contemplating buying it myself and I didn't think about the discount being Plus-exclusive. Sorry about that.

This may sound like a funny question but I'm curious. Lately I find that playing Vita on my bed puts me to sleep. Like at 8, 9PM which is super early for me. It almost happened just now with Cyber Sleuth, it's only 9:17PM. Do any of you guys go through something similar? Am I playing my games too comfortably ahaha

The opposite, usually keeps me up longer.

nope, it helps me wind down too. I'll sit there staring at the ceiling til I have a little Vita time and I'm drifting out mid-game in no time.

So, I report a guy on PSN for posting a pornographic pic in a Star Wars community and get a reply in a matter of 2 hours that the problem has been resolved. Except the pic is still there and the guy is posting like normal.

Cool.

Have been playing Child of Light for a few hours, but I'm not really feeling it. I don't know if I should just put it away. The game feels kind of bland and generic.

The wordy games do it to me more quickly too. It's not that I'm not having fun or anything, it just happens without me noticing lol.

Sleep, then play it early in the morning bro. LOL.

If all else fails, get some really small but hard nuts/seeds and kneel on them while playing.

Vita GARF, help!!

I'm going to break. I need a Japanese PSN account. I've been trying to avoid doing it. I like having physical copies of games, and I don't really care about demos, so juggling a couple accounts seemed largely unnecessary for me. But I really want Adventure of Mana on Vita. So my question is, can I create a Japanese account to purchase the game, and then play it on my NA account? And if so, does anyone have a handy link that explains how I do it?

Had to clean out some lint that somehow ended up in my vitas analog stick

Now I wish I hadn't seen it, it's dirty as fuck inside and I don't know how to clean it. Toothbrush can't clean the part underneath the cap dear god

Btw thanks for the advices about data transfer guys, appreciated

Unfortunately you can't. Only one account on the Vita, and only content downloaded with that account may be played.

Sad face. I created a Japanese account. I need to play it. I have two Vitas, so it looks like OLED is becoming Japanese account Vita.

The Anniversary game handheld Vita port needs to happen or I would like it to happen. SEGA, you need to listen to this guy. He has great taste.

PS: Any Vita ports of old Sonic games would be appreciated too.

Anyone played the Hero Must Die demo off Japanese PSN? Interested in hearing thoughts. I'm so hyped for it and so scared it won't come west.

Considering the Nintendo exclusivity deal is up by now, could see the likely handheld anniversary game come out on Vita now :).

Hopeful that the Genesis Era games and maybe even the Adventure titles find there way to Vita in the future. Not likely, but nice wishful thinking :D.

Already own the PSP Genesis Collection, so I know I can play Sonic 1 and 2 XD! Great ports too, they look great on Vita and the D-Pad feels great to control the games with.

Yeah, appears I jumped the gun, someone posted that on Twitter so I thought the game was out.

It's a world map, like the ones in Atelier games.

Pheeuw, that sounds a lot better to me. I was scared that it would be levels and phoney stars ratings (the game is originally a phone game, right).

On another topic, how big is the chance that Digimon will go live in EU before tomorrow and are the people that already have it happy with their purchase?

It's not very long but it doesn't really change too much. You'll get characters with different abilities but its not going to turn a corner and become amazing.

Maybe persist a little more if you're early on.

I really, really hope Hero Must Die doesn't bomb in Japan. I don't know why, I'm just really drawn to playing this game. Everything I've read about it just sounds fantastic. Traditional JRPG with interesting plot and time management mechanic, all things I love.

Speaking of traditional JRPG's with time management mechanics, I just finished Atelier Meruru Plus. I have to say, the Arland sub-series definitely finished on a high. I'm thinking about it a lot at the minute, but it may have exceeded Atelier Totori for me, which is not only one of my favourite Vita games, but one of my favourite games of all time. Just everything about the game clicked for me - combat was fun; exploration was fun; crafting was great; kingdom building was great; faux-"social link" stuff was fab. It just really, really worked.

I'm a bit saddened I'm done with Arland now. I've played Ayesha on PS3 and a bit of Escha & Logy, but they never really clicked the same way with me. They're not bad games, and I enjoyed them both, but there's just something missing. I don't think I cared about the characters anywhere near as much as I don't really know why.

haha seeing stuff like that is an instant turnoff for me as well

Digimon should go live tonight, in 1-2 hours I think

It's up!

To be honest most of my hype is based upon that it's made by the person something something Oreshika ;)

If anyone is interested in a western release of Adventures of Mana on Vita, you might consider saying so on the SE blog or on twitter- an update says that they are aware of the interest and are considering it.
