You may be thinking of the nightly sync that happens to all PS+ subscribers on all three formats. Pretty sure it's still manual syncing otherwise for PS4.
Oh, yeah, I have ps+ which probably explains the discrepancy.
So, yeah, great. Rogue Legacy locked up on me while I was fighting the last boss. Restarted the system and my save is corrupted.
Guess I'm never playing RL ever again.
Any chance it synced? That might save you. Install on another platform, sync, and go. Maybe.
Anyone know if they've added any games to PSnow since the subscription program thing started?
They definitely have. They make note of it in the Store Update blog posts, so you could check recent ones if you wanted. I don't know what they are off the top of my head.
I tried playing Yakuza 4 today. I absolutely hated it. The combat seemed really shitty. It's boring. The cutscenes drag on for too long and with the default setting they aren't even skippable. Sorry GAF, Thief is gonna have its work cut out to have a worse first impression than this.
I didn't like the 2 Yakuza games I've tried (but didn't finish) either, but I for very different reasons. I actually though the combat was pretty solid (you do unlock more moves and such iirc) in an old school brawler sort of way. Like, it felt very technical -- especially once you hit boss characters that require more skill than flunkies. They did always feel 'second tier' -- I don't know how to describe it, but that slightly clunky look/feel that many Sega developed games had last gen. My issue was feeling overwhelmed by side missions/activities. I'd be enjoying myself alright, then find myself in some karaoki rhythm mini game (i hate rhythm games) and burn myself out trying to get perfects and quit the game in frustration. I can definitely understand why they're loved though.
Have you stuck through to a boss? I always thought the games were loved for their combat mechanics... and iirc the bosses are where the real challenge is.
Quick Demon Gaze question: I'm unlocking my 4th character, and unlike the 2nd and 3rd the game did not suggest me a recommended pre-built character, I assume this is normal? What is a good class distribution for one's party in this game? (already have Paladin and Healer). Also is there a "canonical" party? (ie. the characters on the boxart and such)
I don't know anything about a canonical party, because I never pay attention to that (I usually want a games version of warrior/monk/?????/healer/mage where ????? depends on game. Part of party composition will depend on what you're going for -- do you want an easier early game? Or a 'long' build for future DPS (probably Samurai in that case).
You have a Paladin already, which is important for early game imo. I'm pretty sure I went with Gazer, Paladin, Samurai, Wizard, Healer and that worked for me. You could probably replace the Samurai with any melee oriented class and be fine though.
