Turns out I was confused about adding a 4th character, you have to rent a new room, not "register". And it's 5k gold, crap. Gonna have to continue with 3 chars for a while.

Haha, I ended up doing the same instead of getting a 4th character. Though its not that hard to get the money again. Just use nameless gems on circles and sell the gear you get from them. (or use it if its better than yours)

I went with the recommended ones, paladin and healer. Current levels are 6 6 4.

Your Paladin should be starting to tank some of the hits, being on the front row. That said, like autoduelist, it's been a long time since I played the game.

edit: Well that's scary, turned on my old OLED which has one of my spare 8GB cards in it (I loaded it up with a bunch of small games for fun), just noticed Stardust Delta's skittle is pure white and the page is some creepy generic Playstation one, game won't launch...is the card screwed? Never had that happen before.

I actually had that happen to me with Destiny of Spirits. Everything has been fine since but I don't have the highest of hopes for my 32 GB card in the future.

I played 13 but from my understanding these are all the same. It was a good full featured game. Not sure if it is missing features from PS4 version.

Well, that Operation Abyss stream sold me on the game. English dub sounded fine from what I've heard, the setting is pretty interesting and the art looked amazing.

Also liked how battles just happen right in the dungeon instead of taking you to another screen for the battle like Demon Gaze does.

there's another game called Tokyo Ghost Hunters or something that's coming, which is a VN. I confuse the titles cause of "Tokyo" (shows how cultured I am, I suppose).

You're not the only one. I have to correct my friends whenever we talk about upcoming release of Vita games.

Actually thats incorrect about the Samurai can be made into a build which uses the rampage skill. That can and will out damage other classes.

But the requires you to invest into getting a proper artifact, and in my case it took a lot of time thank to RNG. He was asking for beginner advice so I think it's better to start with something basic.

I'm... completely stuck at this game right now. I don't get it, I must be doing something wrong because everyone always talks about the game being supposedly pretty easy?? Every boss I can currently face right now just slaughters me while I can barely damage it (all my attacks do like 1-3 damage). How the fuck am I supposed to advance?! It's getting extremely frustrating!!!

Is it because I have to grind money until I have a 5 character party? There's got to be something I'm missing but I have no idea what it is.

Please advise! Seriously thinking about just giving up on the game.

Spamming all those cheap nameless gems you can buy in items shop, and sell all things you obtain to get enough credits for a full party. It won't take long, and it makes your life easier.

I also suggest to read the google doc for a bit since it contains really useful information

Don't worry about the exp much. Once you get 2 best demons that provide extra Attack and Defend power, you're good for the majority content of the game, and they are one of the earliest you will obtain.

Also, you use healing staff for on map healing, not necessary in battle.

You "use" Healing Staff to heal, doesn't need to be equipped for you to use.

I did my share of research before playing the game, but that's because I'm used to DRPGs. Is it your first? It'd help reading a couple of topics about hints and tips, specially on GameFAQs.

Nah it just takes a bit for some to get used to it. It took me awhile for me to become comfortable with the mechanics.

I found the game pretty easy until I got to the castle, reading through the google docs thing probably did that though. I wouldn't have known about the healing staff and such otherwise.

That was a nice touch, yeah. It's definitely high on my list, the art really shines and it looks to be a pretty good DRPG all around.

Voice acting isn't too bad from what I've heard so far. I know a lot of people were concerned about it, but the dub seems fairly good so far.

Healing Staff is a rare case of something being terribly documented in the game. There isn't much else like that. It is a game changer, however. I remember discovering that. It's used outside of battle, not in battle.

RE: experience -- I can't remember how much experience bosses give in DG, but I do know that resetting cause one character died is usually not worth it in games where there is unlimited experience. The time you spend re-battling could just be used to grind everyone up a bit more instead. Boss battles can be the exception if they give massive experience, but not all games do that... I can't remember DG's case.

The big exception are 'fixed encounter' DRPGs, like M&MXL... there's a fixed number of enemies and so getting kills while a character is stunned/incapacitated actually limits their potential.

It's just a usual course of DRPG, don't worry. The nature of the genre is explore everything, which mean stumble upon things you didn't expect to find, and Demon Gaze, for better or worse, are much lighter in that aspect.

The save icon keeps popping in and out on the top right corner [looks like a gear] and when I come back to the game later, it tells me the save file keeps corrupting :/

I already deleted the game and redownloaded it, no dice.

There's currently a problem with the cross-save servers. That's probably part of it.

These games are fantastic personality tests thats for sure.

Not really since just having a ton of AGI to dodge stuff then going rampage on your main targets is pretty much enough. Most of what you would have to worry about is end game anyways.

That and for a new user the samurai being able to constantly hit multiple targets is far better than any single damage classes.

Perfectly fine class for starting and veteran users.

Like all DRPGs, there's a very stupid learning curve, but it gets better. Look over that google doc zero linked. It explains some of that.

I say yes. It gets repetitive, but the quirks of the characters and the fact it's a decent thing to play while watching TV or internet videos make it a good buy in my book. I liked playing it.
