Really disappointed Sony gold headset doesn't work wirelessly. You have to plug into the headset jack.
At #01 and #04 on Amazon at the moment. Looking good.
IPD?
Yeah. Go into the PS4 settings, into the PSVR section. Make sure you run the full calibration, and also perform the IPD setting instructions.
Everyone's eyes (and thus pupils) are set apart at different widths, which is called the interpupillary distance. The PSVR lenses don't physically adjust for this, but they do account for it in software, which will adjust the image positioning and distortion on the display.
Please buy Rez Infinite. Game is incredible in VR.
boredandlazy, did this work for you?
cross posting here since plans changed at kind of the 11th hour -
VEV: Viva Ex Vivo VR Patch 1.01 update is now live. Originally was going to be launch window, but we pulled some extra days to get it out day one, even ahead of the store listing. Includes full PSVR integration, gameplay improvements, better graphics, new music, basic leaderboard support. Runs at consistent 90 hz. download is about 400 mb. It's a humble little exploration / score attack game, but we tried to put a little something in there for everyone. Tried to make it above all a comfortable experience, though you have control over things like your VR camera speed.
Oh, and for folks that don't already own it, it's a budget title. live in US and EU.
Tumble is on the disc.
Until Dawn is on the disc, not sure myself about Tumble VR.
Just realised I need the wire to connect my gold headset to the PS VR and it's somewhere in the dozens of moving boxes.
Don't know if you still have contacts with Sony but you should try to have your game added to the PSVR section on the store, most people won't realise it is VR compatible
It's just a generic aux cable.

It's right there on the store along with the other featured games.
Jim Sterling hated it. 1.5/10. Seems like a crappy walking simulator with a few scares.
If you want horror Until Dawn appears to be the way to go.
Though if you want to use the mic make sure it's TRS (the plug has three lines)
Crap crap crapThe bundle and core units are in-stock at Amazon for anyone who hasn't been able to get one yet:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SBXBQDS/?tag=neogaf0e-20
no guarantees that it'll stay that way for long
I still don't fully understand it, but the devs claim that they've been able to get it to still be 360 degrees on PSVR:

I'm really curious to see someone playing it to see how well that actually works with one camera.
Holy shit no , this was one I was most excited for.
Had absolutely no plans to buy this and have generally steered clear of the media coverage for PSVR but just watched a Twitch stream of Rigs and it was enough for me to jump in. Snagged a launch bundle off of Amazon just now and it's arriving Saturday.
So stoked. Is Rez digital only?
Fwiw jim's vr review is really, really bad. I think he puts forward one decent argument in the whole video and even then it's a relative issue.
Haven't read any impressions yet for:
- Batman
- Volume
Volume in particular I'm very interested in finding out how the VR mode turned out.
Yep the beauty of Argos is they don't do preorders, I camped out on their site the morning of the PS4 launch, all the stock went live at 6am and within minutes there was basically nothing left. I managed to secure a Knack bundle.Argos in the U.K. Has stock in, just reserved on round the corner for immediate pickup, the missus is gonna kill me if I buy it!
Been playing for hours now in Eve Valkyrie, Driveclub, and Rigs. No nausea or tracking issues.
Until Dawn is surprisingly scary and these type of games don't usually scare me lol. But the jumpy moments in VR do get to you even though you know it isn't real.
Wow, the missus just told me to get it, early Christmas present, didn't expect that.
Sounds like a trap

Played for about 2.5 hours. A few thoughts:
- I have the "Giant Bomb Swim" tracking issue. Things pulse in and out in the headset. It doesn't make me sick, and it isn't really noticeable when you're looking around a lot, but it's there, and it's annoying. It seems to be worst in Job Simulator.
- The Robot Rescue platformer in Playroom is the best thing I've played so far. It was fun, beautiful and felt really polished.
- Driveclub looks pretty bad. In comparison to everything else I've played it looked extremely muddy in motion. I played for about 15 minutes and felt a little dizzy so I stopped.
- RIGS is the only game so far that has caused my HMD tracking to drift. Within 3 minutes it was at a 45 degree angle and couldn't be corrected even when I tried pressing the options button to calibrate.
Generally, I feel as though the tracking lets the headset down, but there's enough potential here that I certainly hope these issues can be smoothed out in software.
What things have you tried to fix the issue? Have you tried sitting closer to the camera? Maybe you can try replacing it. I believe some publication said the issue was resolved after replacing the set.
It's amazing. Sadly I don't get as immersed as my friends and family with VR. They literally scream and shake. I don't do any of that.
I think there's something wrong with me, lol.
I've tried sitting closer, yes.
As far as replacing the headset goes, the Sony Center I bought it from doesn't offer returns at all (only a manufacturer warranty for defects.)
I'm going to fiddle around with it a little more and we'll see if things get better. It's not been enough to make me sick, it's just a mild annoyance in most games, except for Job Simulator, where it was genuinely distracting.
