I don't see why not. Modern 3D platformers like Mario 3D Land and 3D World are significantly dumbed down and simplified compared to games like BK and DK64, and they seem to be well received.
Stop talking about games you haven't played. Thanks.

Grant Kirkhope is freaking out on Twitter and it's amazing
Dat ign misinformation.IGN just assumed they were both male.
Some of them may or may not be lurking at this moment.Does Platonic post here?
we love you!
One guy posted earlier before the Kickstarter launched and even posted some art
I bet there's more who lurk
It includes all previous tiers (IE both versions - which makes sense as to back both those tiers separately would cost £25), but one of the team confirmed it on twitter, yeah: https://twitter.com/Espio1/status/594180120639840257
Guys, anybody knows if there is a way to back this using paypal? as of now it's the only way i have to make payments D:
There is going to be like 3 times as many PS4s as Wii Us out in the wild by the time this thing comes out, if not more. I wouldn't take that bet. Again, I think making the assumption that the N64 audience that played these games as kids/teens all moved on to Wii U and followed Nintendo is a mistake.
Can't believe I just pledged over $100. plz take all my monies playtonic
I saw his post, but art? Damn, if only my work computer didn't block 90% of pictures posted here. I'll have to check back later.
Extra stretch goal: One billion USD = googly eyes stuck to every physical copy of the gameHaha, this is so lovely.

Everyone is talking about David Wise and Grant Kirkhope, but I can't wait to see what Steve Burke comes up with. The OST is going to be amazing.

This kickstarter is going to make so much fucking money.
Also, does anyone know if the PC and console versions will arrive at the same time?

It doesn't have to be a larger market though. Just look at the success of the recent CRPG releases that came from Kickstarter. There is a market there it just isn't a multimillion sales one. If you budget smart you can still make all kinds of games and be successful with it. Problem is publisher these days don#t want to do anything that isn't super safe and sells at least 5 million copies.
Yes! Actually I wouldn't want them to just expand on the game and end up seeing it a year later because they were allowed to make it bigger. More money = more games.Hahaha, they should just start trying to fund the sequel Yooka-Toolee at this point.![]()
Why do the coins have a blue triangle on them?
Sonic All Stars racing sold more on Wii U than PS3 or Xbox 360 when there were like 70 times more of those consoles out in the wild so... Again, target audience. 98% of games perform better on X1/PS4, yeah but this fits the 2%. Anything with a mascot generally does better on Nintendo.
No but that's a borrible idea though, they can gain much more money working on multiple platforms than making a Nintendo exclusive game ever could.
I don't understand those needs to create more strech goals ... just get the extra money and make it a good game =P
Not sure but it said in the Kickstart er those were just prototypes/works-in-progressWhy do the coins have a blue triangle on them?
Look at the kickstarter. They arrive at the same time if they get the $1,000,000 stretch goal.
