I recently purchased a Sony DVP-NC675P second hand, without any documentation. I tested the thing out by hooking it up to my tv via composite jacks and everything was fine. I then went out and got component cables and used it to hook the player to the TV.
But for some reason, I get a messed up signal. I have other items hooked up to the set via component, all video game systems, and they all work fine. All the game systems are hooked up via a component hub, and I even hooked the TV and DVD player directly, bypassing the hub, and still nothing. I then used the wires that connect the TV and the hub since I know that works, but still no picture (meaning that the wires I just bought must be good).
I'm at a loss here... do I have to some sort of input via the menu of the player to "switch on" the component capability? Since I don't have the manual, I wouldn't know. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
