World Tournament features:
Driftveil Tournament - All Pokémon at Level 25
Rental Tournament - Pokémon are randomly chosen for you, akin to the Battle Factory
Mix Tournament - All Pokémon at Level 50, can switch a Pokémon with your opponent before combat
Unova Leaders - Battle Unova Gym Leaders at Level 50

So far it looks like the World Tournament is the Battle Frontier mostly. Wonder what's up with the Subway?

Introducing the Battle Skyscraper in Black City! Players go through room after room in a merciless gauntlet against varied opponents, ending with a Boss fight. Healing with each room entrance!

Subway's probably still there. It's the Battle Tower of B/W, whereas the World Tournaments are going to function as the Battle Frontier now.
