Yeah, you can breed them now to make more.

Offspring is the species of the mother, and can inherit moves from the father.

Ditto is the exception, and can basically be used to clone any Pokemon you only have males of, or genderless ones.

Using this you can get moves onto Pokemon they couldn't otherwise learn, or make more with moves they wouldn't learn until much later.

In my experience with Panpour: yes until you evolve him. Actually, in my totally and complete unbiased opinion, I think Panpour is the best of the three because Scald is awesome.

I think it only scales you down to 50. If you're below 50, you stay at your level.

Isn't ditto awful? I think even though it clones the Pokemon it faces, it keeps it's own stats.

With the introduction of the Dream World in Gen V you couldn't be more wrong. It will end up being the best revenge killer in the game

All you need to know about shinies is that they're rare. If you see one, you should try to catch it. The only difference between a shiny Pokemon and a regular Pokemon is the appearance.

You can run with running shoes, or bike and move even faster.

Walk speed lets you move with greater accuracy. Running, sometimes it's easy to keep missing a door or cave entrance/exit because you're moving too fast.
