Just purchased a new DSi to play Pokemon (I stopped because it looked nasty on the 3DS). I'm thinking of giving Platinum a go. I originally played Diamond and hated it because the battles were so slow. I would literally fall asleep while playing only to wake up and find I had lost hours of progress/grinding after my DS's battery died. Should I just play B2/W2 or go give gen IV another chance with Platinum.

I was playing Diamond (having not played any since G/S) and I switched to BW2 since I got it cheap, and let me say BW2 is waayyy faster than Diamond and faster than I even remember the old games being. It basically got me back into the series.
Because of the new trailer for the 16th movie, I really hope Mewtwo makes a comeback in Super Smash Bros. 4 along with Genesect as a newcomer. Would be really cool to play as a Genesect in Smash Bros.
As long as they keep the transforming aspect I'd love that. It's a shame he doesn't actually do that in the games.

Dang, now I'm tempted to spend $15 on that thing just for AR pictures.
To be fair, I didn't really use AR for any of them, except the Mow Rotom one...it's just an advanced photoshop for the function I used.

Dude, I would friggin' pay money for lessons on how to do that. It's just so cool.
For most, it was so hard to get the scale and position right...thankfully Pokédex 3D Pro let me redo them quickly. Plus, I was using my iPhone to have the AR markers, which made it trickier for multiple Pokémon to be in a scene

I think the AR function would work really well if you're able to get all models within a single shot, and is able to use a set, filled colour background (you should be able to do it easily by copying some suitable JPG files to the photo folders, following the structure and naming conventions).
