I'm sold on this game.
Seeing the preview and trailers I was very much less than thrilled.
But starting off on a walk with the intent to just level up a little and hit a pokestop and ending up going on a hour long walk through paths I haven't walked 10, 15 and in some places 20 years and seeing places I used to go to, new statues and monuments and beautiful views I'd otherwise just drive by... all while running into people gleefully shouting out to you once they realize you are doing the same thing... pure magic.
Got my ass kicked at a gym though, sweeeeeeet lord. Didnt stand a chance.
Being able to battle people would take this app to godly status. Though I guess that would bring up some pretty glaring safety/predator concerns.

Just opened the app and didn't even have to move.

Hit up a park tonight that has two gyms and four Pokespots. Somebody put up a lure and about 20 people gathered around. It was a lot of fun.
We saw a Gastly on the radar and everybody split up to search. We eventually found it and everybody managed to catch it!

There is a stupid gym down the road from my house that we just can't fight. It kicks us out as soon as it starts. I've watched Red team slowly increase it's defenses over the last two days and no one can really do anything about it because it's impossible to take.

How is it that I have a Raticate that is 13.9 kg and .6 m, and another that is .59 kg and .56 m, and they are both xs? How much does size matter?
I have wanted to shout out "HEY ARE YOU HUNTING POKEMON" a bunch of times today..

Was in a Walmart and heard random people talking about this. Everyone at the table for lunch at work downloaded it today pretty much immediately. Crazy times.

Took my dog for a walk in a relatively quiet Seattle neighborhood at around 9:00 p.m. and encountered easily over 10 people playing the game in the thirty minutes or so I was out. People seemed to be having fun!
well pokemon.com is giving a different error message now. I guess some progress might have been made towards getting PTC accounts to work. They are limiting account creation. Still can't login. Maybe they should focus on making it where we can actually fucking log in, then figure out account creations..

Logging in with PTC gives me an error now, saying something is wrong with Pokemon.com. Before I was just stuck with a spinning Poké Ball.

Just signed in via Google about an hour ago. Looks like there's a lot of Pokemon spots south of where I live, and I was already planning on getting out of the house anyway.

No, it does not. For pretty much anything to work, you have to have the screen on. You can use the battery saver and turn your phone upside vertically to dim the screen.

got a pikachu on the way around the neighborhood. bro went walking to a gym and fought someone. oddly the leader was driving around and stopped by to battle him. bro lost but there was a truck taht drove by too to check it out. and it was around 10pm lol

Made some rounds around town all day, some good progress! Got a Dodrio, a few more Pigeots, Jolteon and two gyms taken over. There's a small arboretum close by that has 5 PokeStops and two gyms, freaking gold mine for that. My only issues are trying to find Pokemon walking, and trying to find ones I want. Obviously I grab anything, but the ones I'm into (Fire, Ghost, Ice) and the rarer ones are nigh impossible. The cemetery didn't have any Ghost types either so ya'll liars.
