Ghastly - lvl 6 (leveling him up)
Quilava - lvl 19
Croconaw - lvl 18
Bayleef - lvl 19
Pideotto - lvl 20
Thinking about my final set im planning on using:
Typhlosion, Haunter, Alakazam, Scizor, Red Garados, and either Dragonite or Nidoking. Sound solid?
Obsessed said:Well if you are going to get an Alakazam you might as well trade the Haunter and make a Gengar.
Anyway that is a pretty solid team. I'd go with Dragonite for the final slot. Pretty beastly in-game with it's general bulk and dragon dance.

Also, are shuckle's any good? I just got one.

Fraull said:Yea i was thinking back and remember how good Dragonite was. I dont know if i want a Gengar, if I remember correctly, isn't it best to keep Haunter or am i wrong here?
If you have another Pokemon that can learn it, you should probably teach it to that one instead. Togekiss has a terrible Atk stat, so Fly is usually a useless move on it.Kad5 said:Is teaching a togekiss fly a bad idea? Note I have two togekiss's.
Shadow Ball. Night Shade always does damage equal to your level. While that may be good for Blissey, that is not good for Gengar.Shiggie said:Quick! Shadow Ball or Night Shade for my gengar?
If you do the resort, yellow forest (!!!) rally or sightseeing courses, then yes, apparently:fernoca said:Can a Pikachu be captured through the Pokewalker?![]()
I juts started the game, got my first badge..and I want a Pikachu.. :|
I assume you are implying that Blissey does not do good damage, but that reminds me. I assume nightshade acts like other ghost moves (including curse?), i.e. they don't work against normal types?Firestorm said:Shadow Ball. Night Shade always does damage equal to your level. Yeah, Night Shade does not work on Normal types.Blizzard said:I assume you are implying that Blissey does not do good damage, but that reminds me. I assume nightshade acts like other ghost moves (including curse?), i.e. they don't work against normal types?

done and done. thanks sir.Firestorm said:Shadow Ball. Night Shade always does damage equal to your level. While that may be good for Blissey, that is not good for Gengar.
Kinda glad the slot machines are gone for my personal sanity. I don't think I have a gambling problem in real life, but casinos in games, like with dragon quest or pokemon, I will seriously spend hours and hours and hours playing the slots. Even after getting all the prizes, I still will sometimes load up a game to play slots. One less game with slots is one more sanity point for me.upandaway said:I'm way indifferent about the loss of the slot machines.
Awesome! Ignored the Yellow Forest can be unlocked through WiFi this Thursday! XD!Blizzard said:If you do the resort, yellow forest (!!!) rally or sightseeing courses, then yes, apparently:

Leafeon is my favourite.Kad5 said:Ok I just got an Eevee. Now which Eevee eveolution should I try to obtain? Note I have an ampharos so Jolteon is out of the question. Also, I don't want a vaporeon or an umbreon.
I only wish that it learned its best move before level 71(!).Jokey665 said:Leafeon is my favourite.

Trust me I was extremely surprised when I saw her do this. So what I did in a previous attempt was do Golem first then finish off with Ampharos (forgetting that Kingdra was half-dragon). So I kill her and then she's forced to heal. Thinking I'll just finish her off with Ampharos (again I forgot it was half-dragon) I used Discharge and am surprised it survive. I get lucky and she misses with Hydro Pump and I somehow luck out for some turns that it couldn't move. So I though I got this match finished until I reached the red zone and she pulls out a Full Restore and lands a Dragon Pulse on me. I was like O_O.Sixfortyfive said:4th gen trainers only use one Full Restore per Pokemon unless they switch out and switch back in. I don't think I've ever seen one use more than 1 healing item on a Pokemon without switching.
If you're basing off of tournament rankings, this is what I use (though obviously not right now since the only "good" Pokemon I'm actually using atm is Dragonair which will eventually be Dragonite and Miltank): http://www.smogon.com/dp/tiers/Square Triangle said:Being completely ignorant with the "new" pokemon since the only ones I remember are the original 150-151..is there a guide online of Pokemon to completely avoid?
I'm just trying to be cautious and not waste time on an asshole that will be useless later on.

But he's also one of the few who switches them out when at a disadvantage. You sure he healed twice without switching first?Andrex said:Blue used at least three on one of his Pokemon when I fought him.

So, before learning of the "Pikachu event" I gave the Flash TM to Bellsprout..just to proceed through the caves...
Can I obtain another Flash later to give it to Pikachu or something? ..since i'm sure I won't be using Bellsprout...
Well I'm certain Clair healed twice and she couldn't switch at all.Sixfortyfive said:But he's also one of the few who switches them out when at a disadvantage. You sure he healed twice without switching first?
Yay!...hehe..thanks.Obsessed said:Yes. Goldenrod department store sells Flash.

Sixfortyfive said:I'm really disliking how specific the timed daily/weekly events are in HGSS. I work night shift during the week, so I'm usually up at weird hours. In order to get all the phone numbers for the gym leader rematches, I pretty much have to tweak the DS clock constantly if I don't want to have to plan my daily schedule around it.
