The most impressive thing I've ever tried doing is filling up my Pokedex on Diamond, and I lacked the discipline for even that.![]()

Galactic Quail said:You know, playing the crap out of both my Ruby/Sapphire games, I have to say, I disagree with others saying Gen 3 was a terrible Gen. I enjoyed it alot, and there was a bigger emphasis on exploration compared to say Gen 2 or even 4. (something that I particularly enjoy)

Jokey665 said:Well I think I got a pretty decent Suicune:
Suicune - #245 (Bold)
HP: 28 - 29
Att: 30 - 31
Def: 13 - 14
SpA: 5 - 7
SpD: 31
Speed: 5 - 7
Haven't saved yet, but I'm thinking of keeping it. I just wish the Att was in Def and the Def was in SpA
Nah I'm not using Crocune, I'm using a Calm Mind shuffle set.Wiseblade said:That's pretty good. the main defensive stats are good, and Suicune's not desperate to outspeed anything. If you're planning of a crocune set then SpA won't matter that much but it's a shame that that attack isn't defence.
I just used two Smeargles that I traded over from Pearl...Sixfortyfive said:Have we reached a consensus on the best HM slave yet? Basically anything that can learn 4 shitty HMs (moves that aren't particularly strong or useful in NPC battles)? If not I'll probably just try to transfer a Bibarel over from Platinum soon.
a team of 6 Phanpy at level 41+ will Pickup rare candies pretty quickly. Plus, you'll never need to buy potions, revives, repels or escape ropes ever again.Eteric Rice said:How does one get rare candies in this game? Like, 50 of em. >_>

Every new Pokemon game is slightly better than the one that came before it.Crumpet Trumpet said:So, what's the consensus here? Is this pretty much the best Pokemon game ever?

According to some people, winning depends onBentendo said:Oh my God that brings back some memories. :lol
Anyway, is there surefire way to win in the bug catching contests or is it just random. How the NPC with the Caterpie one against two Pinsirs I'll never know.
HG/SS pretty much got all the new features, biggest region, and it's damn Jhoto. The only thing Platinum got over the game is better move tutors, but that's about it.Crumpet Trumpet said:So, what's the consensus here? Is this pretty much the best Pokemon game ever?
TheCardPlayer said:It is. The largest amount of Pokemons, 16 gyms, all the upgrades from Diamond/Pearl to Platinum are in there, best soundtrack in the series, etc.
It's unbeatable. Seriously.

Sixfortyfive said:Platinum has:
- better PC box management, particularly if you're the type to max out your capacity and be somewhat meticulous about how everything is ordered.
- easier EV training, via Vs Seeker.
- easier "auto-pilot" breeding, if Johto really doesn't have any long straight routes.
- purchasable coins in the game corner for TMs (stupid Voltorb Flip).
And that's just what I've compiled about halfway through the Johto quest. All minor problems, mind you, but they might be enough to keep me on Platinum for training/battling when all is said and done.
Will anyone be around in about 10-15 minutes to help me transfer over a party of 6 from my Plat to Gold carts?

It's pretty much the same as Platinum. The only difference being you will miss out on the move tutors. Can't remember if there is anything else since I haven't played Platinum in a long time.Gravijah said:Speaking of, how is EV training in Pearl?
