I guess they're... okay. But I'm comparing them mainly to the old ones, not the newer ones:EzLink said:Hmm, really? I'm actually really liking all the sprites.

How awesome is this? So awesome. Wanna go to Kanto but don't wanna fly to New Bark, swim 2 screens with random battles then fly again? No more! Do whatever you fucking want because this is a damn remake, dude!
Yeah but it's such a paaaainnnnnnnnbeje said:You could always restore the train system and use that to travel between regions
Wasn't that already doable in like Crystal? You fly to Mt. Silver then move a little, it's Kanto; move some more it's Johto.upandaway said:Holy shit I'm bumping for this. Read this golden sentence:

Those Youtube videos seem to have some slowdowns and the sound quality isn't perfect either since the guy apparently held a recorder next to his DS or something. Some songs actually start with a theme from one of the various routes; was he just playing while making these recordings? Either way, should sound a whole lot better when you actually play it.upandaway said:Really? I didn't notice. Maybe I should have experimented more.
Also, I just listened to the couple tracks on Youtube. I must say HGSS has easily the worst music out of any Pokemon game, in my opinion (out of what's on Youtube of course). That includes RSE, which I didn't like too much.
Am I alone here? I don't like the new remixes at all.
Yeah, I guess I'll keep judgement for some better rips or when I play it. Just saying what I think of it currently.PBz0r said:Those Youtube videos seem to have some slowdowns and the sound quality isn't perfect either since the guy apparently held a recorder next to his DS or something. I like what they did to Ecruteak's theme by the way, but the theme is such a classic I kinda wish they'd kept it simple. Only real disappointment is the Champion theme which is waaaaaay too soft.
edit: Never mind that, Lavender Town's worse. It doesn't even sound creepy anymore. :/
