I hear they do codes now? I preferred the store wifi events. I didn't even go in a Gamestop. I just opened my DS, did the search, boom.

Plus the codes are finite too .

I remember getting two of each mythical in Gen 5, save Victini, since I had multiple games.

From what I know of last year, they're codes, yeah. I just moved back a month and some change ago, so guess I'll find out first hand soon. I like farming events on my restart thing, but with this, yeah, the finite part is bothersome. Especially after stories I heard from here and friends. About GS saying it's only with a purchase in-store, some running out quick, etc. After my last purchase at GS (X in Hawaii on vacation), that was my last straw buying anything from them. No more. I'll only stomach them for Pokemon codes if I have to.

Opening 3DS is cool and just getting it. I guess they've gone to codes if they don't resort to that here. The places they could hold Pokemon stuff at I wouldn't want to set foot in. I'd rather see them do some kind of deal with TRU again or something. I like TRU.

Wish I had multiple copies in Gen 5. Keldeo, Victini, and Arceus were nice little surprises.

I'll definitely beat OR today after class. Right now I'm just "exploring" and beating up all the trainers in areas I haven't explored yet. My team's 55 - 57 right now. Pretty close to finishing up though. But like, it's too light outside right now to do the E4 and Delta Episode stuff. It just doesn't feel right to me to beat a game when it's light outside.

Oh and yeah fuck codes. Gonna have to hope someone on GAF gives me on again, like what happened with Diancie. *sigh*

I lost like all my competitive stuff and my best pentagon legends but my living dex is mostly fine, just missing Sharpedo, Luxray, and T-tar.

Hoopa isn't out yet. It's going to be in the movie, so will be given out in July at the movie when it comes out in Japan. Dunno how long it'll take rest of the world. I can't even remember how long afterward it took Diancie to come out. Since I'd already had mine at time and no way to get a code myself it wasn't high on my list.

So at last select replays from the generation showdown tournament for the Juniors devision ( http://3ds.pokemon-gl.com/competitions/4021/ ) have been uploaded to youtube. The masters were uploaded last week but the news post on PGL was today ( http://3ds.pokemon-gl.com/competitions/4022/ ).

I think I enjoyed the juniors replays more than the masters ones.

Stores were getting reluctant to hold events due to people not bothering to go to the store to get it, thus it not being worth it, and Nintendo/TPCi were fed up of stores not sending back distribution cards but keeping them and putting them on eBay.

Pretty sure that's why they implemented serial codes, and why only Japan seems to have local wireless events, since that crap doesn't happen there.

Pretty much the same. There were distribution cards and the like...similar situation. Many GAME stores also had a habit of trying to con people into pre-orders in order to get them to turn on the distribution, too. But that doesn't happen much anymore.

Ah, see, that's at least a better method. Why can't we have that in the States? Just printed at register. I think the US is the bottom of the barrel for Nintendo in general. Really feel like that when it comes to Pokemon. EU seems to get more stuff going on.

I liked to think I pay for the Pokemon and the movie is just extra content. LOL. Diancie was worth it. But I'd say moreso the preorder Pokemon are worth more. Finally getting my own Diancie is awesome.

Not that kind of DLC, you get Hoopa via local wireless at the movie theatre for the new movie. The Pokemon movies are awful so like Muku I see buying a ticket as rather buying DLC and the movie is just bonus.

Well, XY was a new game and this is a remake. More people are familiar with it, it's not the first Pokemon on 3DS and with combat in 3D, combat mechanics are the same and so on. There is simply much less to discuss.

Starts of generations are huge. Spikes with the following games of the generation, even remakes, are never as big.

Online right now though and not sure if folks just like hacks, are oblivious to anything Pokemon, or what, but love when something gets announced and their message to other folks online is "[unreleased Pokemon here] plz". Just saw a passerby after hopping out of a trade that said "hoopa plz".

HGSS are the best games so

I like them a lot.

I just wish they were a little faster during Pokemon battles. Hard to go back after Gen V and VI being so speedy in comparison.

I really enjoy replaying them, though. They're very fun.
