What berries are worth growing and using in X?
In my short time with Ruby, I used an Oran berry, but it healed a measly 10hp, basically making it useless if you were more than 10 minutes into the game.
Edit: I find it kinda funny that this thread dies around 10pm central time every night. Naively makes me think I'm speaking exclusively to 10 year olds in this thread and makes me feel old.

I see Chespin as the superior starter choice for starting out and playing through the single player, but when it comes to online and competitive play, Greninja is where its at.
So all in all, just ignore Fennekin. Nothing good will ever come from it but pain and misery.

uuugh, I've been having issues with my tethering.

Leppa (10 PP restore) and Lum (any status) berries are my faves to grow along with EV-reducing, friendship-increasing berries (Grepa, Hondew, Kelpsy, Pomeg, Qualot and Tamato). Other good ones include Kee & Maranga and Lansat & Starf.
And I'm celebrating 27 in a few days.

You can get the other starters very easily. Getting a legendary bird with your desired Nature, IVs, and nickname, however, is not that easy. Therefore, your starter should be chosen with your desired bird in mind.
Zapdos is by far the best bird, and since Fennekin gets you that it is therefore the best starter.

Again, I have 5 IV Sassy Aroma Veil Spritzee in Premier Balls and 5 IV Calm Gooey Goomy in (if it matters) Ultra Balls. Let me know if you want one and what you want to trade! Breeding rejects are preferred but I'll take anything.
Also, I have a shiny Hawlucha for trade. She has a Modest nature, unfortunately, but she also has her Hidden Ability and can be given a name. Her current nickname is Ace, but I can change it. Shiny offers of any kind are appreciated, and it's REALLY preferred that the shiny have a non-detrimental nature and be nameable. But feel free to make an offer for that too even if the shiny isn't all that ideal.

I'm sure this has been brought up before but I wanna ask how people here feel about there being no 6v6 singles battle option on Battle Spot. Don't get me wrong I love the other modes, I have been doing a ton of triple battles lately and it can be really fun.
Still, I really would love 6v6 to be an option. Growing up playing pokemon, I've always considered 6v6 battles to be the standard, although I now realize that it is not, at least not in Japan.
I just love the the flow and strategy of 6v6. The only available alternative: 3v3 singles, seems just too limiting. It depends too much on getting lucky (or unlucky) with the pokemon match ups that you and your opponent choose. With 6v6 I feel like it is much more possible to have a well rounded team that leads to more interesting matches, unlike in 3v3 when it's like :"Oh well his lead completely counters mine, GG." That's an exaggeration, I know, but it sometimes feels like that. 6v6 also provides more possibility for epic comebacks than 3v3 does. I like long drawn out battles sometimes because to win them is just that much more rewarding.
The lack of 6v6 singles has really made me consider switching to a sim like Pokemon online or Showdown. I haven't been able to bring myself to do that yet because I love the animation and 3D models of X and Y. Plus it's much more fun to actually breed and raise the pokemon you use in battle rather than just checking them off the list in a team builder. It removes a lot of the magic for me. The last time I used a sim it was with the G/S/C meta, but from the screen shots I've seen of the common sims used today, the animation and overall presentation of battles seems pretty awful - especially for any Gen VI pokemon. The 3D rendered battle system is one of (if not the) best part of the game and there's really no comparison between sims and the real thing.

Funnily enough Showdown implemented the 3D models for most Pokémon.
I've always preferred sims since it is just so much less time to make a team and then fight instead of having to go into breeding/EV training/leveling up to 100 (since there's no auto level to 100 in XY).
