On a more serious note, there are a handful of pokemon which I always thought should have their typing changed. Gengar, for me, needs to be Ghost/Dark. Marowak needed a Ground/Dark evo but since Cubone got a preevo, the most that can happen is Marowak gets a mega evo but attack will most likely take a hit. Golduck needs to be Water/Psychic. Lets give Crobat a mega evo, we don't have a Poison type that is very powerful and what better then Crobat.

I was reconsidering my purchase of X..but now I'm definitely sticking with X. Mega Charizard X looks amazing and his typing is interesting, and well deserved.

Having Formes in a certain version you literally can't have without owning the other version is some bullshit even by Gamefreak standard. Lawd I hope what we saw was Venasaur X and Venasaur X will be the destiny Bulbasaur deserves!
The so-called "third version" doesn't exist anymore. There won't be a Z.
So X becomes more of a physical one, while Y becomes more of an uber fire one? That's interesting.
I think he means we might get X2 and Y2, or if Nintendo is clever XX and XY.
The Vensaurite on stream didn't have and X or Y label so it's safe to assume Venusaur only has one Mega form.

Game Freak confirming my X bias once again. Maybe the best looking mega so far.
I love it and I have love every Mega form. I think this Charizard is going to actually make me choose X version.
But is anyone else worried they're focusing a bit too much on Mega Evolutions? I've liked them all but I'd rather see more new Pokemon, even more "normal" evolutions rather than a buch of these Mega forms.

This is pretty awesome. The wait for these games just keeps getting tougher.
Gengar being Ghost/Poison is still my biggest gripe with the franchise.
On the bright side, now he can slay fairies with Sludge Bomb. A new type to prey on and now Ghost doesn't resist Ghost. Gengar is smiling very, very wide.
Cubone does not have a pre-evolution.

You just have to find someone with the other version as you who prefers the variant in yours. There are enough people in this thread who've expressed such sentiments already!
Well these can be traded by trading the items.
It's not like in Gen III where it was literally tied to a game.
