Pokemon sequel is under development for DS

I hate each and every new Pokemon including the starters and legendaries. That's a first for me. Dialga and Palkia sucks so bad but the starters for Gen4 was awesome IMO. But this... Jesus.

Goodbye Pokemon.

Fire ape has flaming eyebrows, your argument is invalid.

One of these guys has some kind of Telekinesis move that seems to be like Magnet Rise but is used on the opponents. Hopefully that adds flying-type weaknesses as well. Anything to buff Blizzard is a step forward! :3

Confirmed?

If there is a decent rule filter (i.e. no 600+ BST legendaries), that could be about the greatest thing ever.

There is a new wireless feature called Random Match, which you can access from the Global Terminal inside Pokemon Centers. It will allow players to randomly battle other players around the country over Wi-Fi. It then says "You can upload your Black and White save file to the Internet," though for what purposes we do not know at this time.

That's all we have to go on for now. If they're smart they'll look into copying whatever filters Netbattle/Shoddy currently has. If last gen is any indication chances of that are pretty slim, but I must say I didn't expect a lot of the changes put forward so far.

Holy shit

Mun’na - that Telekinesis thing... if it does something like make a Pokemon actually levitate, then it's an awesome support move. I always can't seem to get Magnet Rise ready in time on Magnezone.

Gear - looks awesome. I like it best when the black dot is the mouth.

Mamepato - fuck you normal/flying again

Hihidaruma - weird but I like it. PLEASE not fighting/fire again!

Shimama - boring abilities and attack, but it looks okay. Way too much like Girafarig though, in terms of overall shape.

BEST ONE------> Meguroko - BEST TYPE EVER BEST ABILITIES EVER I LOVE YOU but only if you evolve into something more badass

Araragi - :lol the hair

Random Match - about time

I only really like the looks of the fire guy and the cogs. The rest, I've seen better in Gen 4.
The croc is the best one but only because of the BADASS ability and typing. I'm sure it'll evolve into a design I like.

Telekenesis affects the "enemy" though... I guess this means floating enemies can't use Ground type moves/very susceptible to Thunder?

"Meguroko (メグロコ) is the Desert Crocodile Pokemon, a Ground / Dark type. Its abilities are Intimidate and "Earthquake Spiral," the latter of which raises its Attack stat when it Knocks Out a Pokemon. It is 0.7m tall and weighs 15.2kg."

Crocodile must seriously be broken as fuck. Can't wait to use him in my team!

It could work in a number of ways:

1. Magnet Rise - the opponent's ability ISN'T changed to Levitate, it doesn't work through Gravity, and it clicks with Baton Pass (that is, Munna's Baton Pass)
2. The opponent's ability IS changed to Levitate - this is stupid and impossible because of Regigigigas.
3. The opponent gains a 3rd Flying type/gains all advantages and disadvantages of the Flying type

For sure though I don't think the opponent will pass the ability on using Baton Pass, since it's Munna that's doing everything. We also don't know if it stays even after Munna dies.

Broken why? It sounds good but not overly powerful.

And since it's a Dark type, it'll probably learn pursuit to be able to get that first KO against Ghosts and Psychics.
It'll be fun to try out for sure. If you're winning with that thing, it shoulld just keep getting worse for your opponent.

Maybe by enemy they just mean the target of the attack.

Wow I love the Electric Zebra, Shimama <3

Yay a cool Electric type with a move called Wild Bolt. So fitting.

You know it's crazy I was expecting us to get a Zebra, Crocodile, and a Dolphin.

I'm suddenly laughing at the poor kiddies assuming OMG ITS GROUND THEREFORE ITS A ONEPIECE REFERENCE OMG. Crocs (and hippos) ain't water types - they only go to water to cool themselves down. They're actually pretty much Ground type.

Dark/Ground
x2 Water, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Bug
x0.5 Poison, Rock, Ghost, Dark
x0 Electric, Psychic

This looks pretty cool. Because of his ability his opponent will have to put in a Pokemon that is both strong against his attack and has attacks that are strong against him. It's gonna be easy to figure out which attack the opponent is gonna choose.

It is entirely possible that it will lousy stats/movepool, you know.

Here's to hoping that make a Luvdisc evolution so the poor thing isn't made of fail.

I hereby dub the alligator Bumblegator.

I like the fire ape thing, sort of like an ape version of a Foo Dog.

I dunno about the lightning zebra, looks a little cutesy. I have a strong feeling its evolved form(s) is gonna look really awesome, though.

The pigeon is really unimaiginative... It's cute, sure, but it's, uh, basically just a pigeon.

I'm sure the US PKMN renamers have got to be kicking themselves for using pigeon-based names on a Pokemon genus that looked nothing like a pigeon, now that there's one that looks exactly like a pigeon.

It won't have a lousy movepool (at the very least Earthquake), and "lousy stats" don't exist thanks to Tiers.

Tiers are based on how often its used and they are decided by a heck of a lot more than stats.

Example - Charizard and Luvdisc are both NU. Tell me their stats are comparable.

New Fire pokemon is always Good :D

I'm reserving judgement on how they look when we can see the sprites more in detail, because that's how we will see them the most (and I was never really a fan of the 'drawn' versions)

Finally we can randomly battle people on Wifi. I wish that was in Gen IV.

Anyways, the new Pokemon actually look good except for that pig thing. The pigeon also looks a bit generic, but I was wondering why we never had a pigeon Pokemon.

I think they were actually pretty faithful to the intent of the Japanese names.
So at least they can't be blamed lol.

How often it's used is by itself a combination of stats and movepool, I guess.

I don't know about Smogon in any case, been a while since I went there. By tiers I pretty much meant "this Pokemon is about as good as that one" as decided by me and my friend.

So is half of the first generation. Beedrill, Raticate, Seel etc.

That's exactly what I thought. Same type, similar classification, same nose, shares Forewarn as an ability (Synchronise would turn into Insomnia).

Prof. Araragi = <3!

I'm really digging the new Pokémon, particularly, Shimama, Hihidaruma, and Meguroko. I'm hoping for some Ixion-esque evolution for Shimama. :D My only complaint is that the new Psychic-types almost always end up looking really ugly, and Mun'na is no exception. =/

I what that Chinchilla!!!!

And . . . why are they making the Thunder types in this game black? First Zekrom (I could see why they would do that to some extent . . . he is the "black-yet-mascot-for-the-white-game" Legendary and he looks techy) and now this Zebra?

I'm sorry, but I saw your avatar as a Pichu holding a stylized bong.

Mun'na definitely seems to be a pre-evolved Drowzee. It looks like a tapir and has the same type of name.

Don't really care for the zebra or the pigeon, but everyone else looks good. I *really* like the ape, chincilla, and the gears.

When you've got squirrels and zebras that shoot electricity any notion of Pokemon types matching their real-world equivalents gets thrown out the window anyways.

Why the hell should it be yellow or some other lightning themed color lets not limit types to specific colors its boring.

Because most all thunder type Pokemon have some form of notable "yellow/ blue" on their color pattern and this Zebra only has yellow/ blue eyes and some blue ear lining and Zekrom doesn't look thunder typed at all.

Haven't you noticed that pretty much ALL fire Pokemon have either orange or red on them as their main color?

Doesnt matter this isnt the power rangers pokemon dont have to be color coded for you to remember what type it is.
