Pokemon sequel is under development for DS

What's this? Both trainers have ok design!? Madness!

Also, first time I'll go with a grass starter, although that little piggy is tempting too.
 
I think that they are going to release these games in September in Japan, as usual.
Although, it would be awesome if they bundled Pokemon Black or White in with the 3DS if it launches in October. Have two colors for the 3DS, also. Black and White.

As for the character designs, they're both OK but... what's up with the weird shorts the female avatar is wearing :lol

Easily the "Kick Ass" Pokemon in that gen's starter line up.

Oh, and I'm calling it right now . . . that Otter is gonna end up being the bad ass of the line up! I really like the designs . . . a lil pissed at fire pig but I see a bright future for the Otter!

Oh, and that female trainer looks fucking great! Love the boots. That guy looks cool . . . MUCH better then the last 2 guys but still below the female by abit.
 
Smugleaf is the only good one of the three.

Fire pig looks awful, as does the Water otter. Though, the Water Otter is definitely going to be Water/Psychic. Mark my words.

Probably true but they still look like bellbottoms. It looks like a mascot KFC would've made in the 90s as part of an XTREME marketing campaign.

Blaziken is probably the final starter evolution I like least.

Blastoise > Charizard > Feraligatr > Venusaur > Infernape > Torterra > Empoleon >Meganium > Typhlosion > Sceptile > Swampert > Blaziken

Final starters wise, I loved Gen I and hated Gen III.

Gen1 > Gen3 > Gen2 (other than totodile, all the others are rubbish) > dog shit > gen4

grovyle and blaziken were great and swampert was a great poke on the competitive side, gen3 was great

Well, for dual-types the only thing that would make the Grass starter more awesome if his final evolution is Grass/Dragon, making him the first Grass type that isn't super effected by Fire. Alternatively, Ice would kill it. But It'd also be super duper resistant to Grass, Electric, and Water so it's a fair trade.
 
I liked Blaziken because Ruby was the first Pokemon game I bought myself and had a lot of time to actually play and Blaziken was my Pokemon. It was that Pokemon that I took out as my "secret" weapon that demolished anything in its path.

In retrospect, it wasn't that strong and Pokemon is not that one-sided, but it was still kind of...I don't want to say dear, because I'll get made fun of (rightfully), but I guess I just associate good memories with it.

It'd be pretty cool though because I love Water/Psychic, but I'm really thinking it'll be Water/Ice for better or worse. The way Pokebeach explained his name made me think of "small snowball".

And Dragon is just a type, it's not like they're gonna give it pseudo-legendary stats.

You mean like Dragon/Flying (Salamence, Dragonite, Altaria) or Dragon/Ground (Garchomp/Flygon)?
The number of fully evolved Dragons that aren't 4x weak to ice are very few.

I think that's the very reason they might go with Grass/Dragon in the future.
They usually give them an exploitable weakness.

One the plus side Grass/Dragon 4x resists Water, Grass and Electric.
And who wouldn't like a Dragon with Leech Seed and probably Sleep Powder etc.

I could see them having the 2nd types of "Dark/ Psychic/ Dragon".

and then adds dragon at the final stage


but nah, it'll be just grass or grass/ground again
